Operation precautions
General considerations
1. Keeptheunitmorethan1m(3.3')awayfromradioorTVset.
2. Iftheunitisdownordoesnotoperateproperly,unplugthepowersupplyorturnoffthePOWERswitches.
3. Theunitcasemaybecomeawarmwithuse,butthisisnotaunitmalfunction.
4. Ifyouenable“SecondVideoEncoder”(→page18),theunitwillcontinuetooutputvideo.Whenthishappens,the
unitcasemaybecomewarmbutthisisnotaunitmalfunction.
5. Ifitisusedclosetoacellularphone,theunitmaymalfunction.
6. Theunitturnsinoperativeduringpowerfailure.
7. Inareaswherebroadcastingstationantennasarecloseby,theintercomsystemmaybeaffectedbyradio
frequencyinterference.
8. Duringcommunication,Ifyoustandtoofaraway,itmaybedifficultfortheotherpersontohearthe
communication.
9. Ifthereareloudnoisesaroundtheunit(suchasmusicplayingorchildrencrying),thesoundmaybreakupand
bedifficulttohear.
10.Duringcommunication,ifyouspeakbeforetheotherpersonhasfinishedtalking,yourvoicemaynotcome

maybeheardlouderthanduringcommunication.

19.Warm-colorlightingshiningonthevideodoorstationmaychangethetintofthepictureonthemonitor.
20.Whenusingfluorescentlightstoilluminatethescreenitscolorsmayperiodicallychange(colorrolling),butthisis
notamalfunction.
21.Whenoutsidetemperaturelowerssharplyafterrainfall,etc.,theinsideofthecameramayfogupslightly,causing
ablurrypicture,butthisisnotamalfunction.Normaloperationwillberestoredwhenmoistureevaporates.
22.Whentheunit’sscreenisilluminatedwithstronglight,theimagelookswhiteorsilhouetted.Butthisisnotaunit
