Safety and Warranty
Safety
Please read these safety instructions carefully.
Please keep this user manual for later reference.
Please disconnect this equipment from any AC outlet before cleaning. Do
not use liquid or spray detergents for cleaning. Use a damp cloth.
For pluggable equipment, the power outlet must be installed near the
equipment and must be easily accessible.
Keep this equipment away from humidity.
Put this equipment on a reliable surface during installation. Dropping it or
letting it fall could cause damage.
The openings on the enclosure are for air convection. Protect the equipment
from overheating. DO NOT COVER THE OPENINGS.
Make sure the voltage of the power source is correct before connecting the
equipment to the power outlet.
Position the power cord so that people cannot step on it. Do not place
anything over the power cord.
All cautions and warnings on the equipment should be noted.
If the equipment is not used for a long time, disconnect it from the power
source to avoid damage by transient over-voltage.
Never pour any liquid into an opening. This could cause fire or electrical
shock.
Never open the equipment. For safety reasons, only qualified service
personnel should open the equipment.
If any of the following situations arises, get the equipment checked by
service personnel:
The power cord or plug is damaged.
Liquid has penetrated into the equipment.
The equipment has been exposed to moisture.
The equipment does not work well, or you cannot get it to work according to
the user manual.
The equipment has been dropped and damaged.
The equipment has obvious signs of breakage.
DO NOT LEAVE THIS EQUIPMENT IN AN UNCONTROLLED
ENVIRONMENT WHERE THE STORAGE TEMPERATURE IS BELOW -
0°C (-32°F) OR ABOVE 50° C (122° F). IT MAY DAMAGE THE
EQUIPMENT.

Warranty
Winmate warrants that each of its products will be free from material and
workmanship defects for a period of one year from the invoice date. If the
customer discovers a defect, Winmate will, at its option, repair or replace the
defective product at no charge to the customer, provided it is returned during
the warranty period of one year, with transportation charges prepaid. The
returned product must be properly packaged in it’s original packaging to
obtain warranty service.
If the serial number and the product shipping data differ by over 30 days, the
in-warranty service will be made according to the shipping date. In the serial
numbers the third and fourth two digits give the year of manufacture, and the
fifth digit means the month (e. g., with A for October, B for November and C
for December).
For example, the serial number 1W07Axxxxxxxx means October of year
2007.

1.1 About the Product
Media Player is a very powerful “pure Digital” standalone Multimedia
Playback Engine, capable of supporting Full HD playback for most Video
Formats as MPEG1, 2, 4, WMV, DivX, XVid, AVI, aso as well as high quality
pictures. It has a range of output resolutions of 480p up to 1080p.
The robust metal housing and the used components make this Player a very
reliable product with a very long lifetime of up to 10 years.

3.1 Connecting Cable
Please connect the cables according to this picture:
1. Monitor thru DVI-D cable
2. Power with the Power adapter
3. Use USB for the Media Files
Note:
Only DVI-DVI cable is acceptable. Do not use DVI-
VGA cable
3.2 Using Remote Control for Setup
After connecting the power and the Monitor, the Player is ready.
Use the Remote Control to enter the Setup and select the Resolution and
Aspect Ratio to adapt to your Monitor:

Step 1: Push Setup Button on the R/C
Use Enter and the Arrow keys to select Resolution

Step 3: The Aspect Ratio is fixed to original so you will not be able to
change it.
Step 4: Push Setup again to go back to Main Menu.
3.3 Using Remote Control for manual Playback
Use navigation in the Menu to select specific files and play them
Plug in any USB Storage Device (USB Harddisk, USB Flash Drive) with your
media Files on it.
Step 1: Select the USB port you connected the USB Stick
Note:
Blue character means device Detected,
Gray means no USB device in this port
Step 2: Choose the File Filter you want to select, or Files to see all.
Note:
The file filter will only show the selected files like only
Videos, Pictures or Audio files, to select for playing

Step 4: Select the file you want to play
Step 5: Press Enter to play a single file, use to play all media files in
the same level of directory.
Note:
To play all files in one folder select the root and
press .

3.4 Automatic-Playback
For Automatic Playing, copy the files in the <root> of the USB.
All Files on the root level will be detected and played automatically, without
the need of using the Remote Control. (PnP)
The order of the files will be according the name order alphabetically.
Numbers 0-9 first, then A-Z.
Note:
A = a
Capital and small letters are handled the same.
Example:

3.5 Format Disk
Press Setup Button on the remote control. Use Enter and the Arrow keys to
select Format Disk. Note that when you confirm the choice, the system will
format the internal storage and erase all data in it.
