WARNING: When using electrical appliances especially when children are
present, basic safety precauons should always be followed to reduce the risk
of re, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
2. Do not touch the hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
3. Never operate appliance without bread.
4. Do not insert any forks, knifes or similar items into the appliance.
5. Do not insert oversized items, foil packaging or metal implements in the
toaster wells.
6. Do not place the item near ammable objects (e.g. curtains, wood etc.).
7. Do not touch the body of the toaster while in use; wait for the toaster to cool
down.
8. To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the power cord or power
plug or appliance in water or in any other liquid.
9. Close adult supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near
children.
10. Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use and allow toaster to
cool before cleaning. Allow to cool before pung on or taking o parts.
11. Do not operate any electrical appliance with a damaged power cord or
power plug or operate it aer the appliance malfuncons, or has been
dropped or damaged in any manner. Return this appliance to nearest
authorized service facility for examinaon, repair or adjustment.
12. The use of accessory aachments not recommended by the appliance
manufacturer may result in re, electrical shock or injury to persons.
13. Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
14. Do not allow cord to hang over edge of table or counter, or allow it to come
into contact with hot surfaces including stove.
15. Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a
heated oven or microwave.
16. To disconnect, remove plug from the wall outlet.
17. Place the appliance on a hard, at level surface to avoid interrupon of
airow underneath the appliance.
18. Be extra cauous when toasng bread products that contain fats or sugars
as the bread may burn. If bread smokes, press the CANCEL buon or use
a lower seng to stop it from burning.
19. Do not use the appliance for other than its intended use. Do not aempt to
dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.

Short cord instructions
Toaster functions
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulng from becoming entangled in,
or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
• The electrical rang of the extension cord should be at least that of the appliance. If the electrical
rang of the extension cord is too low, it could overheat and burn.
• The resulng extended cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
IMPORTANT
During the rst few minutes of inial use, you may noce smoke and/or a slight odor. This is normal
and should quickly disappear. It will not recur aer appliance has been used a few more mes.
1. Insert the slices of bread.
2. Select the desired toast seng.
3. Press down the carriage lever completely, the lever will then latch into posion.
4. Aer compleon of each toasng cycle, the bread will automacally pop up and the appliance
with switch itself o.
5. Carefully remove the bread from the toaster.
NOTE: All types of bread can be used for toasng, but the slices should not be too thin or too thick.
Fresh bread and dark coarse bread require longer toasng than drier bread; set appliance with this
in mind.
This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug will t into the polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not
properly t into the outlet at rst, reverse it. If it sll does not t, contact a qualied electrician.
Do not aempt to modify the plug in any way.

Use
TOAST: This is the default seng for general bread. Just adjust the toast shade selector and push
the lever downwards to switch on the toaster.
BAGEL: This funcon is useful for bagels, English muns or dark whole wheat bread. Press the
bagel buon, adjust the toast shade selector to your preference and push the lever downwards to
switch on the toaster.
CANCEL: If you wish to stop toasng during a cycle, just press the cancel buon and the toast will
pop up immediately.

Storage
1. Before cleaning, unplug and wait for the appliance to cool down completely. Do not aempt to
dislodge food when toaster is plugged in.
2. Wipe the body with a so cloth. If necessary use a slightly damp (not wet) cloth.
3. Do not immerse any part of the appliance into water and never use any abrasive cleaners or
scourers to clean the appliance.
4. This toaster features a crumb tray which should be emped at least once a week to minimize the
build-up of toast crumbs and other debris.
5. Grip the handle and slide out the crumb tray. Aer emptying the crumbs, replace the tray before
your next toaster use.
6. Clean the crumb tray with a moist cloth and then replace it into the appliance.
7. Never use the appliance without the crumb tray in posion.
8. Store unit in a clean, dry place.
9. Any other servicing should be performed by an authorized service representave.
DO NOT IMMERSE THE APPLIANCE, POWER CORD, OR PLUG, IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID.
• To change your selecon user must press the cancel buon and then reselect the preferred
funcon (s).
• Selected funcons will automacally be cancelled if the carriage lever is not pushed down in
approximately 10 seconds.
• Approximately 10 seconds aer the carriage lever is pushed down, the selected funcons will
be automacally locked. The toast shade selector will only funcon when it is adjusted to a
lower toast seng. This safety feature avoids over extended toasng me each cycle.
• Once a cycle is nished, the toaster will automacally return to the default seng which is for
general bread toasng condion, and the user should select the desired funcon(s) again for
the next use.
• The high-li facility lever makes it easier to remove the toast. When the toasng is complete,
press the carriage lever upwards and safely take out the bread.
• Beware of the hot surface when removing the toast.
Note: you can wrap the power cord around the base situated under the appliance, for storage, or if
the cord is too long.
