2 M-115 Loader General Characteristics
2.1 Model M-115 Basic Components :
This loader could be connected to a small or compact tractor and it can be operated using the tractor’s
hydraulic system. If your tractor is equipped to handle this loader we can supply the necessary part you will need
to make this connection. Please note that the recommended oil flow must be between 5 to 8 GPM (22.5 to 36
liters/minute). Keeping all fittings and connections clean whenver you are servicing them is strongly recommend,
for this will help you avoid many problems. Check to make sure that all hoses are well placed so that they will
not twist, kink, or wear during operation.
Our Loader is composed primarily with a mast, a lifting extending boom, and a grapple. These units are
all installed on an Anderson R-Flex 410 tandem trailer. This trailer has a width of 64 inches (1.65m) and a
structutural extendable length of 11 feet 6 inches (3.50m). This trailer can handle wooden logs up to 12 feet in
length (3.66m). There are retaining posts on each side to hold the load, and a solid metal guard that protects
the mast and the operator in front.
This loader connects to a tractor with a pivoting draw bar. The control valve is situated above the draw bar and
it has 5 basic lever controls. More detailed operating instructions are available on the next page (point 2.2). One
or two extra lever controls can be added to the front of this control valve assembly based upon the optional
equipment added (point 2.4, page 10-11).
Installed behind the control valve is the vertical rotating mast which is connected to a horizontal lifting
arm composed of two parts. The 1st part is the primary boom which is connected to the secondary boom (stick).
The 2nd part includes the rotating grapple and the rotor which are connected to the secondary boom (stick). The
maximum reach of the boom is 9 feet 6 inches. (2.9m). Stabilizing legs with cylinders are installed on each side
of the mast to ensure that the loader is well balanced and stable during machine operation. A grid is installed on
the front part of the trailer to support the load and at the same time protect the operator.
The Tandem Axle is bolted to the central beam of the trailer.

2Loader M-115 General Characteristics(continues).
2.1 Basic Components (continued) :
Moving the standard (non hydraulic) tandem axle: When the loader is
empty you can manually move forward or backward the tandem axle by 4 inches
(10.16cm) by taking out the bolt that connects it to the central beam. Once you
move the axle you will need to put the bolt back in place. This operation is done to
better balance the load between the tractor and the loader.
2.2 Control valve :
A total of 5 basic levers are available for the operator when he is operating
the unit. There are 2 multi purpose joysticks in the front and 3 simple levers behind.
For the 3 back levers group, the left and right levers will lower and raise the left and
right stabilizing legs. The central lever will open and close the grapple.
The right multi purpose joystick controls the primary boom (up down
movement) and the grapple rotation (left right movement). The left multi purpose
joystick controls the secondary boom (up down movement) and the central mast
rotation (left right movement).

Cold weather operation : It is important to let the unit (or tractor) idle for a few minutes before
activating the joysticks. Following this procedure will ensure sure that you will allow the oil to warm up and
circulate freely throughout all components for a few extra minutes to stabilize the oil temperature before
operating your machine with a load.
At all times you must AVOID moving the boom at full speed out to full extension. This sudden operation
can seriously damage the machine.
