Installation Overview

1. Wall Mounting

Place the wall mount kit and screws

on the back of the device as shown

in Fig.1.

2. Grounding

On the top of the device (as

shown in Fig.2) –

Choose a terminal within the

power terminal block for frame

ground; or connect the wire to the

grounding screw next to the

power terminal block.

(Grounding is required to be connected all the times,

after installation)

3. Install Antenna

Install the antenna to the female

RP-SMA connector –as shown in

Fig.3.

4. DIN-Rail Mounting

Follow Fig.4 to install the

device with DIN-Rail, and

follow Fig.5 to remove

device from DIN-Rail.

5. Ethernet Connection

Connect the device to a LAN

(Switch or PC) by using an

Ethernet cable to the device’s

RJ45 port.

Notes

The opening holes on the sides of the device are for the

device’s heat dissipation; please do not block or cover

them with any objects.

Please make sure the STW-61xC unit is installed in a

dry location, free from dirt and corrosive vapors –for

more details; please refer to the user manual.

Device Settings

STW-611C provides 1 serial port connection, please

select either 1*DB9 (M), or 1*5-pin terminal block.

STW-612C provides 2 serial port connections, and they

are both DB9 (M) for RS232/422/485.

STW-61xC series comes with factory default IP

address: 10.0.50.100

By Web Console: Users can access or configure

the device by its built-in web console once it is

connected to a physical network.

By Utility Software: “Serial Manager”utility

software is included with the product CD. Please

refer to the user manual for details regarding

serial manager configurations.

Before configuring the device, please make sure the

connected PC has the same subnet setting as the

device. For details, please refer to the user manual.

Field Maintenance and Service

If the device requires servicing of any kind,

please disconnect and remove the device from

its mounting.

Voltage/power lines should be properly

insulated as well as other cables.

Do not under any circumstance insert foreign

objects into the heat dissipation holes located in

the different faces of the device.

Please do not open the device for any reason.

Please contact Antaira for any repairs or follow

the instructions found in the user manual.
