phone.YoursystemwillrecognizeyourAtarijoysticksandpaddlesasstandardgamepadsreadyforyou

tousewithyouremulatorsandgames.

ExtrasharedbuttononthedevicewillshowupasbuttonsonthePCgamepadandtheycanbemapped

toothercapabilitiesinyouremulator.

InadditiontostandardsinglebuttonAtariJoystick,thisdevicealsosupportsFlashbackAtarijoysticks

thathave5buttons,Atarisingleordualpaddles,7800joysticks(bothbuttonsonthe7800willtriggera

Afteryouturnonthedevice,ifyouhavenotpairedthedeviceyet,youwillseeablueblinkingConthe

devicessmallscreen.BlinkingCindicatesthedeviceisdisconnectedandreadyforpairingprocess.

TopairwithyourPC,Laptop,Pi,orPhone,simplyfollowyouroperatingsystemsnormalBluetooth

connectionprocess.BelowisanexampleprocessonWindows10.

Oncethedeviceispairedyouwillseeitonyourdeviceslist.RightclickontheshownRetroJoystick

deviceandselectGamecontrollersettings



Youwillseethedevicestwoportslisted.Theybothwillhavethesamename.Selectthetoponeforthe

rightportlabeled1onthedevice.Selectthebottomonefortheleftportlabeled2onthedevice.

Thenclickproperties

SeeOperationsectionformoreinformationonhowyourjoysticks/paddlesandbuttonsonthedevice

aremappedtogamepadcontrollersonyourPC.



Asyoumoveyourjoystick/paddles,youwillseetheappropriateaxisandbuttonsupdateaccordingly.

NotetheZaxesandRotationandbutton7,8arereceivingdatafromthealternatejoystickport.Having

datafrombothportscombinedishelpfulforsomeemulatorsandoperatingsystems.



Operation

MakesuretoconnectyourPaddleorJoysticksbeforeyouturnonthedevice.Thesystemwilldetectthe

typeofdeviceyouconnectedatstartup.

WorkingwithPaddlesvsJoysticks

Eachtimeyouswitchfrompaddlestojoystickorviceversa,youmusteitherresetorturnoff/onthe

deviceforthesystemtoreinitializesoitcandetectthechange.Toresetthedevicewhilethedeviceis

on,pressandholdtheRed+Green+Blue+Yellowbuttonsimultaneously(allbuttonsexceptwhite).You

willseethescreendisplayRESETandbegincheckingall4portsforpaddles.Note:Whileyoucan

connect4paddlestothedeviceandsystemwillgenerallyworkfine,only2paddlesareofficially

supported.Paddle3hasaslightlysmallerrangein4‐paddleconfigurationduetolimitationofhardware.

SinglevsDoubleModeofOperation

Whenyoufirstturnonthedevice,itwillautomaticallybeinDoublemode.InDoublemodethedevice

willsendinformationbacktothePCtobothgamepadsshownonthePC.InSinglemodethedevicewill

sendinformationfrombothportsconnectedonlytoasinglegamepadonyourPC.

YoucantogglethemodeofthedevicebypressingGreen+Blue+Yellow+Whitesimultaneously.The

devicewillchangemodesandthescreenwilldisplaythemodeyouchangedto;either“Mode:Single”or

“Mode:Double”.

SingleMode

SinglemodeisneededforsomeoperatingsystemssuchasLinuxorRetroPieastheydonotproperly

handlemulti‐hidconnectionsviaasingleBluetoothconnection.IfyoustayinDoublemode,yourOSwill

getconfusedanddatefromyourjoystickswillgetintermingled.Makesuretoswitchtosinglemodeif

youhavetroublewithoperatingsystemsotherthanwindows.

InSinglemode,youcanstilluse2joysticksor4paddlesbecausethedevicewillsendbothportsdatato

asinglegamepadshownonyourPC/Linux/Mac.

ForbothportsasJoysticksthedevicewillsenddataofthe2Joysticksconnectedtothesystemssingle

gamepadasfollows:

‐ X/Yaxisandbutton1willbeJoystick1onthedevice

‐ Zaxis,rotation,andbutton6willbeJoystick2onthedevice

Ifyouconnect4paddles(2onPort1,and2onPort2)thedevicewillsenddataofall4paddlestothe

DoublemodeismainlysupportedforWindowsOSbecauseitdoesproperlyhandlemulti‐hid

connectionsviaasingleBluetoothconnection.

Indoublemode,bothgamepadsshownonyourPCwillworkcorrectly.Asanaddedbonus,thedevice

willdevicewillsenddataoffrombothportstoeachgamepadshownonyourPC.

ChargingtheDevice

Thedevicewilldisplaythebatterystatusonthescreen.IfyouconnectedthedevicetoaUSBcharger,

thedisplaywouldlikelyshow100%.Thisdoesnotmeanbatteryisfullycharged.Thebatterystatus

displaycurrentlyisonlyforwhenyoudonothavethedevicepluggedin.

Tocharge,simplyplugthedeviceintoaUSBchargeranditwillchargeautomatically.Itcantake1‐2

hoursforafullchargedependingontypeofchargeryouhave.Toseethestatusofbattery,unplugfrom

chargerandthenturnonthedeviceandwait10seconds.


