Hello! Thank you for purchasing the PASTA board for the Razer Panthera PS3/PS4!
It has been my pleasure to offer this breakout board as a request from a fellow member of
the FGC, Gemini. Gemini offered up his stick for the R&D process, connected with other
FGC members for inputs, and got everyone informed on who might be interested in the
PASTA board.
There are other products like this on the market but from my understanding, they are
limited in that in only works with one particular Brook PCB. The PASTA board has been
designed to work with any Brook PCB model as well with any future Bit Bang Gaming
PCB model of control boards.
Had fun making it and hope the FGC continues to offer up product ideas!

Section 2: Safety & Modding Disclaimer
This product is to be used in a bigger electrical installation. It requires some basic
knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems from you, the modder. While the
necessary skills are not difficult to learn, it is still required for a successful installation.
Some precautions to be mindful of are listed below. It is by no means an exhaustive list
but is a step in the right direction.
1. Always wear safety glasses to prevent debris from flying into your eyes when
altering material by drilling, cutting, grinding, etc.
2. Always use the right tool for the right job. For example, using a lighter instead of a
heat gun to heat shrink a solder connection may work but it is not the suggested
practice as there is a risk of fire and the release of noxious fumes.
3. Always work in a well-ventilated area when the modding activity might release
airborne debris or fumes. A mask or fume extractor may be required if modding in a
small space or if there is an excess of debris or fumes.
4. Always treat electricity with respect. Just because it is low voltage does not mean
damage to you or to the equipment is not possible.
5. Always disconnect power while modding. If you need make measurements or
observe a behavior, make sure that wiring and equipment are secured enough to
not cause them to move in an unfavorable manner where damage may result, and
then connect power.
6. Always use a fuse with battery mods. If the battery is rechargeable, always make
sure that the charging and protection circuits are in place before using.
7. Always double check polarity with reliable documentation or a multimeter wherever
necessary.
8. Never start modding something when you’re not confident you understand the
process. Ask for help instead from the modding community or contact us.
When properly installed, this product will not cause damage to your existing equipment or
system. We are not responsible or liable for damage of any kind from improper installation
practices. By continuing with this installation manual, you accept the risks and agree that
you are proficient in making a successful installation.

Throughout this manual, a few icons will be used to highlight certain aspects of a topic.
The Note icon will beused for something you should remember
about a particular topic.
The Tip icon will be used for something that you should
consider doing or a shortcut that you can benefit from.
The Warning icon will be used when you should be extremely
careful and aware of something.

Overview
The PASTA Board for the Razer Panthera PS3/PS4 makes it easy to convert your setup to
use any compatible control board. For example, control boards from Brook LLC or Bit
Bang Gaming LLC will work. The conversion will have all of the stock buttons function as
usual, with one exception. Since control boards will have an auto-detect or manual
procedure to switch between different consoles, the PS3/PS4 switch will function as a
turbo button. All necessary cables, screws, and spacers are included for a hassle-free
installation.
Connectivity
The PASTA board for the Razer Panthera PS3 makes it simple to:
•Retain the functions of the main button inputs (1P, 2P, 3P, 4P, 1K, 2K, 3K, 4K, LEFT,
RIGHT, DOWN, UP, START, SELECT, HOME).
•Retain the functions of the secondary buttons (TPKEY, TURBO, L3, R3).
•Retain the functions of the player LEDs.
•Retain the functions of the stick mode (LS, DP, RS).
•Retain the functions of the lock switch (applies to START, SELECT, and HOME).
•Wire up a turbo LED by re-purposing case LED on the latch button.
•Wire up a turbo button by re-purposing the case PS3/PS4 slide switch.
•Wire up USB wiring via the 5-pin terminal block. USB connection to control
performed with USB port on the board and with included short length USB cable.
•Mounting method for PS5 upgrade kit compatible with compatible Brook PCBs.

Section 5: Conversion Procedure
Remove Stock Board
1. Position your Razer Panthera on a clean, well lit, even work surface. Some tools to
have handy are a set of small screwdrivers meant for small electronics repair work,
wire strippers, flush cutters or small scissors, set of Allen wrenches, and tweezer to
grab and guide wire.
2. Open up your case and you will see a black plastic box between the hinges.

3. Unscrew the top of the plastic case to reveal the stock board. Save these screws for a
later step.
4. Remove glue with a tweezer or flat head screwdriver. If you want to save this board for
later, be careful to not scratch the board while removing the glue. The glue is in several
places. Take your time.

5. Once all glue is removed, unplug every connector.
6. De-solder or snip the USB wires from the stock board.

7. Remove the stock board and save in a safe spot.
8. Strip back the USB wires.
