1. Prepare your Shade:
a) Remove tension device on cord loop –see example below
Please note: Refer to your manufacturer guide for removing tension device
2. Choose Your Mount Position
a) Inside Mount (Image A)–Make sure nothing will interfere with the operation of the
shade. You must have minimum of 2”of depth in front of the shade to mount the
unit
b) Outside Mount (Image B) - flat on frame or wall facing the room

3. Installing Mounting Plate:
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
a) Align plate with where the cord is fully tensioned.
b) Mark holes for screws at the bottom of screw channels as shown in image B
c) Using a screwdriver or power drill install the anchors and screws into the mounting
plate with the arrow facing up as shown -

4. Attaching Move Unit:
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
IF APPLICABLE
a) Attach cord loop into MOVE unit as shown in image A
Please Note: cord should lay over the bent prongs and under the raised prongs as shown
below in Image B

b) Make sure cord is not twisted and attach the MOVE unit sideways onto the mounting
plate. (image C) (If you have rechargeable battery (see component number 1 above) you
must attach it to the MOVE unit before attaching to mounting plate)
Note: Cord must be tensioned and taught.
Please Note: If not tensioned remove unit by peeling off sideways, loosening screws in
mounting plate & reposition plate

5.Power Options:
a) Rechargeable battery pack with power supply
WHAT YOU WILLL NEED:
i. Plug micro USB on the power adapter into the unit and the opposite end into
the outlet and let charge until red light turns off (approx.6 hours) Once the
battery is fully charged remove the power adapter from the battery and store
for future use
*NOTE: Battery comes with 20% charge

Please Note: Red light will flash on battery pack (indicated below) every 30 seconds when
low battery is detected
b) Rechargeable battery pack with Solar Panel
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
i. Connect Solar Panel to window with solar panel facing window
ii. Plug solar panel’s micro USB into Rechargeable battery pack.

c) Direct power supply.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
i. Plug micro USB charger into MOVE unit as shown below
ii. Plug the opposite end into the outlet
Please Note: Micro USB charger must be plugged into MOVE unit and power outlet at all times.

6. Download the App
a. Download Move App by searching MOVE motorize blinds and shades from the
appropriate app store for your phone and follow the instructions to set up the MOVE
unit
