Please note: Rope style tyre plugs can be used as a temporary

solution to get the customer mobile.

However please ensure customer is made aware that the tyre must be

replaced as soon as possible.

Securing motorcycle for transportation

Use masking tape or soft cloths suitably positioned to prevent scratching the parts of

the motorcycle.

ATTENTION

Vehicle toppling to side

Risk of damage to parts if vehicle topples

•Make sure that the vehicle is secured so that it cannot topple

sideways.

•Push the motorcycle onto the transportation flat and hold it in position:

Trapping of components

Component damage

•

Do not trap components such as brake lines or cable legs.

•At the front, secure the straps to the bottom fork bridge on both sides and

tighten the straps

•At the rear, secure and tighten the tensioning straps to the holders for rear

footrests on both sides.

•The suspension has to be firmly compressed for the motorcycle to be

transported.

•Uniformly tighten all the ratchet straps

•Note: do not place vehicle on the side stand during transit.

G310

•Remove the seat using the ignition key.

•

•Begin by connecting one end of the red jump lead to the positive terminal of the

discharged battery and the other end to the positive terminal of the donor battery.

•Then connect one end of the black jump lead to the negative terminal of the donor

battery, and the other end to the negative terminal of the discharged battery.

•Start the engine of the vehicle with the discharged battery in the usual way; if the

engine does not start, wait a few minutes before repeating the attempt in order to

protect the starter motor and the donor battery. Allow both engines to run for a few

minutes before disconnecting the jump leads.

•Disconnect the jump lead from the negative terminal first, then disconnect the second

lead from the positive terminal. Install the seat.

Battery Location:

•No keyless start function available on this model

C400

Place the Scooter on its stand and remove the battery cover.

•Remove screws (1) .

•Lift battery cover (2) at the edges on both sides and while doing so, unclip mounting

clips (3) from legshield (4) .

•Remove battery cover (2) .

Removing the battery holder

•Press locks (1) in.

•Release diagnostic connector (2) from bracket (3) and move aside.

C400 Continued..

•

Press locks (1) to the centre and fold battery holder (2) to the top.

•Unhook battery holder (2) at the rear on the battery compartment and remove.

with Keyless Ride OE (0193)

•Press locks (1) to the centre and fold battery holder (2) to the top.

•Disconnect connector (3) for frequency aerial (4) .

•Unhook battery holder (2) at the rear on the battery compartment and remove with

frequency aerial (4) .

•Use the red jump lead to connect the remote positive terminal of the discharged

battery to the positive terminal of the donor battery.

•Then connect one end of the black jump lead to the negative terminal of the donor

battery, and the other end to the negative terminal of the discharged battery.

•Start the engine of the vehicle with the discharged battery in the usual way; if the

engine does not start, wait a few minutes before repeating the attempt in order to

protect the starter motor and the donor battery.

•Disconnect the jump lead from the negative terminal first, then from the positive

terminal.

•Install the battery holder. Fit battery cover.

C600/650

•Place the MaxiScooter on its stand.

•Remove the right side panel as follows:

•Open stowage-compartment lid (1).

•Remove screws (2).

•Remove screw (1) and remove top right side panel (2) , noting the locators (arrows) .

•Begin by connecting one end of the red jump lead to the vehicle's battery positive

terminal and the other end to the positive terminal of the donor vehicle's battery.

•Connect one end of the black jump lead to the vehicle's battery negative terminal and

the other end to a suitable grounding point on or the negative terminal of the donor

vehicle's battery.

•Start the engine of the vehicle with the discharged battery in the usual way; if the

engine does not start, wait a few minutes before repeating in order to protect the

starter motor and the donor battery.

C600/650 Continued..

•Disconnect the jump lead from the negative terminal and the ground point first, then

disconnect the second jump lead from the positive terminal and the battery

connection point.

•No keyless start function available on this model

G650

•Make sure the ground is level and firm and place the motorcycle on its stand.

•Removing seat

•Remove stowage-compartment lid (1) .

•Pivot lever (2) and remove seat (3) .

G650 Continued..

Remove the centre trim panel.

Remove the following components:

•Oil-tank cap (1)

•Screws (2)

•Screws (3)

•Centre trim panel (4)

•Install oil-tank cap (1)

Disengage large heat shield from the battery (1)

•Push back cover 1 of the battery's positive terminal.

•Begin by connecting one end of the red jump lead to positive terminal 2 of the

discharged battery and the other end to the positive terminal of the donor battery.

•Then connect one end of the black jump lead to the negative terminal of the donor

battery and the other end to negative terminal of the discharged battery.

G650 Continued..

•Start the engine of the vehicle with the discharged battery in the usual way; if the

engine does not start, wait a few minutes before repeating the attempt in order to

protect the starter motor and the donor battery.

•Disconnect jump leads first from the negative terminal, then from the positive

terminal. Replace cover 1 of the positive battery terminal. Position small heat shield 3

with aluminium side out and secure with rubber strap. Fold large heat shield on the

battery.

•Install the centre trim panel and Install seat.

•No keyless start function available on this model

F700/800

•Remove seat using ignition key
