BODUM AUSTRALIA WARRANTY
We are pleased to say that the return rate on BODUM® product is very low; however, should you
need to process a returned BODUM® product under warranty, please follow the simple procedure
below. We have tried to make it as simple as possible for both yourself and the end consumer.
BODUM AUSTRALIA WARRANTY PROCEDURE
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Consumers are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for
any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Consumers are also entitled to have the goods
repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount
to a major failure.
The beneits to BODUM® customers given by the warranty set out below are in addition to other
rights and remedies under a law in relation to the BODUM® product to which the warranty relates.
To process a faulty BODUM® product you will require a Return Authorisation (RA) number.
Returned items without a RA number are not able to be processed for credit or replacement.
Contact BODUM® on (02) 9692 0582 for a RA number.
Faulty product does not include items which have incurred wear and tear through general home
use, misuse or commercial use. Warranty does not include accidental glass breakages.
Warranty period:
e-Bodum®: 2 year replacement warranty from the date of purchase for electrical appliances
where a defect appears and BODUM® is notiied within 2 years from date of purchase.
Proof of purchase: any claim from the end consumer must be validated with a copy of proof of
purchase; without providing a proof of purchase BODUM® Australia will not be able to process
the claim. Proof of purchase includes original purchase receipt/docket or credit card statement
showing the purchase amount.
Replacement or credit: once claim is validated, if possible please replace the faulty item from
stock on hand. If a customer requires a replacement for an item which you don’t have on hand,
please have the item added to your next order.
Return or work order: to ensure that the return process is as easy as possible for both you and
the end consumer, we don’t do work orders or product repairs.
Once you have received a RA number and sighted the product please safely dispose of the faulty
item. We don’t require the faulty product to be sent back to us. However, if you come across an
unusual fault which you think we need to be aware of please send it back to BODUM® Australia
Head Oice.

1. Remove the scle from the pckging.
Choking hzrd! Keep pckging

2. Insert three AAA btteries.
3. Plce the pltform correctly, so the
disply is esily visible.
Plce the scle on lt, irm surfce - this is
essentil for correct mesurement.
Press the ON/OFF button to switch on the
scle. As soon s "0" ppers, the scle is
redy for use.
If you put bowl on the scle before

switching it on, the weight of the bowl will be
included nd the disply will show "0". You
my then put your items into the bowl for
direct reding of their weight.
When the scle is in use nd you wnt to use
bowl for weighing, you cn simply plce
bowl on the scle nd press the ON/OFF
button to reset to zero.
If you wnt to reset the scle to zero, press
the ON/OFF button.
The scle cn be restrted repetedly when
in use.
To switch OFF the scle, press nd hold the
ON/OFF button for 2 seconds until the LCD
disply is switched o.
The mximum weighing cpcity of the scle
is 5000g. The disply will show "Err" if the
scle is overloded.
Scle division:
1200g=0,1g/200500g=0,5g/5005000g=1g
The displyed unit cn be chnged from g/ml
to lb/oz nd the other wy round by pushing
the button (8) on the
bottom of the scle.
Once the unit hs been converted, it will sty
in this mode when it is next used.
TIMER Switch on the scle; when "0" ppers on the
disply, the scle is redy for use.
Press the TIMER button to strt timer.
Press the TIMER button to stop timer.

Instructions for use
To reset the timer press the TIMER button for
2 seconds.
The mximum timer time is 99 minutes.
The scle’s bcklight will help you monitor the
whole
brewing process.
After the irst 30 seconds the bcklight will
blink to indicte blooming’s durtion. The
timer will keep counting
nd will blink gin fter 4 minutes when
optiml brewing time is over.

You my switch o the scle t ny time by
pressing the ON/OFF button nd holding it
for pprox. 2 seconds until the
disply is blnk.
In order to prolong bttery life, the bck light
is switched o utomticlly if no buttons
re operted or no weight is
chnged nd if the timer is not set.
If ny button is operted or weight
chnged, the blcklight will come on gin
utomticlly.
Hence, if there hsn’t been ny ction
involving either the weight or timer, the scle
will be power o utomticlly
fter 2 minutes.
When "Lo" ppers on the disply, the
bttery must be
replced. The scle requires 3 AAA btteries.
The bttery comprtment is locted on the
underside of the scle.

To replce the btteries, you hve to open
the bttery
cover nd remove the used btteries.
Before you plce the new btteries in the
comprtment, plese mke sure the
btteries re instlled with the correct
polrity (+)/(–).
Non-rechrgeble btteries should not be
rechrged.
Rechrgeble btteries should be removed
from the
pplince before being chrged.
If the pplince is to be stored unused for
long period, the btteries should be removed.
The supply terminls should not be
short-circuited.
Note: To prevent hrm to the environment,
used btteries should be disposed of through
your electricl deler or locl resource
recycling collection point.

Do not put items exceeding 5000g onto the
scle s this could dmge it.
Do not llow the scle to come into contct
with strongly lvoured/coloured food or
cids, such s citrus fruit zest, which cn
cuse dmge to the plstic surfces. When
such items re used, it is recommended
tht the weighing surfce irst be lined
