1 Safety
1.1 Intended usage
The plant is exclusively intended for the usage described. Another usage or any
usage going beyond the described usage is not permitted and therefore not ac-
cording to the intended usage.
The intended usage also includes the adherence to the operating instructions.
1.2 Inadmissible usage
The unauthorized extension and modification of the plant.
The inexpert use of devices, accessories etc.
The operation with safety equipment which is not in unobjectionable condition
resp. which is bridged or out of action.
The operation with voltages which do not coincide with the indications on the
type plate.
1.3 WARNING
Before operation, cleaning or maintenance work, the corresponding protective
measurements according to the manufacturer's instructions have to be ob-
served. Product residues have to be removed at the end of the operation.

Safety

1.4 Safety during operation
Before starting the plant it has be ensured that no danger can occur to persons
and that no material goods can be damaged.
Refrain from any working method questionable to safety.
During installation, operation, maintenance and repair observe the directions of
the corresponding operating instructions.
Do not work at the plant or do not operate it, if, for whatever reason (e.g. the in-
fluence of medication), your power of concentration is impaired.
Observe the regulations for the prevention of accidents (RPA).
Inform the responsible supervisor about all dangers or faults.
Determine a clear working space allocation when several people are working on
the plant.
Determine a responsible person for the coordination of the work and ob-
servance of the safety regulations.
The enclosed operating instructions are no replacement for an introduction to
the operation and maintenance of the plant and its components.
Without training from qualified persons the plant may not be started up.

1.5 Securing and switching off the plant during maintenance and repair
Switch off the plant at the main switch before beginning maintenance or repair
work.
Secure the main switch with a lock against unauthorized switching on again.
Keep the key in a safe place. Act very carefully, if you do not switch off the plant
at the main switch due to necessary work (e.g. function control).
Call in a second person, who operates the main switch in the case of emergen-
cy, e.g. if work has to be carried out on live parts.
If the protective and safety equipment for the above mentioned work had to be
removed, they always have to be installed again afterwards and checked that
they function properly. This is particularly important for:
-Covers
-Safety instructions
-Warning signs
-Grounding cables
Watch and supervise the plant. If the plant shows any faulty behaviour after
switching on, it has to be switched off again immediately.
