GENERAL POWER TOOLS SAFETY
WARNING
• WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions,
illustrations and specications provided with this power tool.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric
shock, re and/or serious injury
• Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
• The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-operat-
ed (corded) power tool or battery-operated (cordless) power tool.
WORK AREA SAFETY
• Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite
accidents
• Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as
in the presence of ammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools
create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes
• Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool.
Distractions can cause you to lose control.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
• Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in
any way. Do not use any adapter plugs with earthed (grounded)
power tools. Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk
of electric shock.
• Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as
pipes, radiators, ranges and refrigerators. There is an increased
risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
• Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water
entering a power tool will increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or
unplugging the power tool. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp
edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the
risk of electric shock.
• When operating the power tool outdoors, use an extension cord
suitable for outdoor use. Use a cord suitable for outdoor use reduc-
es the risk of electric shock.
• If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a
residual current device (RCD) protected supply. Use of an RCD
reduces the risk of electric shock.
PERSONAL SAFETY
• Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when
operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired
or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment
of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
• Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protec-
tion. Protective equipment such as dust mask, non-skid safety
shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriated condi-
tions will reduce personal injuries.
• Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-po-
sition before connecting the power source and/or battery pack,
picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your
nger on the switch or energizing power tools that have the switch
on invites accidents.
• Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power
tool on. A wrench or a key left attached to a rotating part of the
power tool may result in personal injury.
• Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all
times. This enables better control of the power tool in unexpected
situations.
• Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your
hair and clothing away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery
or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
• If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and
collection facilities, ensure these are connected and properly used.
Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
• Do not let familiarity gained from frequent use of tools allow you to
become complacent and ignore tool safety principles. A careless
action can cause severe injury within a fraction of a second.
POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
• Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for
your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and
safer at the rate for which it was designed.
• Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and
off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is
dangerous and must be repaired.
• Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or battery pack, if
detachable, from the power tool before making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive
safety measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool acciden-
tally.
• Store idle power tool out of the reach of children and do not allow
persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to
operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
• Maintain power tools and accessories. Check for misalignment or
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other condition
that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the
power tool repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by
poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting
tools with sharp cutting edges are less likely to bind and are easier
to control.
• Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc in accordance
with these instructions, taking into account the working conditions
and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations
different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
• Keep handles and grasping surfaces dry, clean and free
from oil and grease. Slippery handles and grasping surfaces do
not allow for safe handling and control of the tool in unexpected
situations.
SERVICE
• Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair person using
only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of
the power tool is maintained.
• Any misuse or failure to follow the instructions for use renders the
guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.
HAMMER SAFETY WARNINGS
• Wear ear protectors. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
• Use auxiliary handle(s), if supplied with the tool. Loss of control
can cause personal injury.
• Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing
an operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wir-
ing or its own cord. Cutting accessory contacting a “live” wire may
make exposed metal parts of the power tool “live” and could give
the operator an electric shock.
• Use personal protective equipment. Always wear dust mask
ADDITIONAL SAFETY WARNINGS
• Ensure that neither the air access nor exit become either totally or
partially covered by drapery, clothing, etc., as this increases the
risk of re.
• Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged.
• Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the
mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
• Connect the appliance to a socket that can supply a minimum of 10
amperes.
• If any of the appliance casings breaks, immediately disconnect the
appliance from the mains to prevent the possibility of an electric
shock.
• Do not use the appliance with damp hands or feet, or when bare-
footed.
• Do not wrap the power cord around the appliance.
• Do not clip or crease the power cord.
• Check the state of the power cord. Damaged or tangled cables
increase the risk of electric shock.
• Do not touch the plug with wet hands.
• Before using the appliance ensure that the disc / tool is properly
xed in place.
• Do not touch any of the appliance’s moving parts while it is oper-
ating.
• Fully unroll the appliance’s power cable before each use.
• Check the position of power cables before commencing work
ensuring they are well away from the work area.
• Keep hands and other body parts well away from the work area
whist the tool is in use.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains when not in use and before
undertaking any cleaning task.
• This appliance is for household use only, not professional, indus-
trial use.
• This appliance is not a toy. Children should be supervised to en-
sure that they do not play with the appliance.
• Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
• Do not use the appliance on any part of the body of a person or
animal.
• Let the appliance running with no load for 30 seconds in a safe
position. If you notice serious vibration or other defects stop the
appliance immediately. Then check the problem and /or proceed as
we describe on Anomalies and Repair clause.
• The appliance can be used on surfaces such as: wood, cardboard,
plastic, plaster, etc.

If the model of your appliance does not have the accessories
described above, they can also be bought separately from the Tech-
nical Assistance Service.
• Auxiliary Operation
• Operate the appliance only with the auxiliary handle.
• Turn the auxiliary handle in counter clockwise direction for adjust-
ment (E)
• Set the auxiliary handle on the appliance into the required position.
• Tighten the auxiliary handle (E) by turning it in clockwise direction.
• The depth can be set with the depth stop (F). Thereby loosen the
winged screw.
• Set de required drilling depth.
• Tighten the winged screw.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BEFORE USE:
• Make sure that all the product’s packaging has been removed.
• Ensure that the voltage indicated on the rating label matches the
mains voltage before plugging in the appliance.
• Prepare the appliance according to the function you wish to use:
• Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before
carrying out any work on the tool.
FITTING THE WORKING TOOLS (FIG. 1)
• Unplug the appliance from the mains.
• Only use tools with SDS-plus shaft.
• Clean and grease the shaft of the tool.
• Install the drill bit or accessory in the drill chuck. Turn the drill bit
slightly until it can be pushed in all the way and you can feel it
engages into place.
• Ensure that the drill bit is locked.
USE:
• Connect the appliance to the mains.
• Place the appliance against the surface you want to work.
• Press the appliance until the lengthways play is taken up.
• Turn the appliance on, by using the on/off button (H). Note: Exert-
ing high pressure does not increase machine effectiveness!
WARNING: When the bit begins to penetrate concrete or comes up
against the reinforcement rods in the concrete, the tool may react
dangerously. Make sure you keep your balance by distributing your
weight evenly and keeping your feet in a safe position whilst holding
the tool rmly in both hands to avoid dangerous reactions.
ELECTRONIC SPEED CONTROL:
• The speed of the appliance can be regulated by using the speed
regulator control (I). This function is very useful, as it makes it
possible to adapt the speed of the appliance to the type of work
that needs to be done.
DRILLING, DRIVING AND IMPACT DRILLING
• Drilling and driving:
• Turn the selector (C) until the arrow on the appliance points to ( )
DRILLING AND DRIVING (WOOD, STEEL …):
• Turn the selector (C) until points to ( ).
• To drill or screw, ALWAYS have the direction set to clockwise (CW).
