
Before initialuse
1. Wipe themotor unit with aslightly dampcloth. Neverimmerse themotor unit inwater.
2. Wash all other parts in warm water with washing-up liquid. Thejug, beakers and lids are dishwasher safe if
washed in top rack of the dishwasher. Donot wash any of theblade assemblies in thedishwasher.
3. Rinse and dry the parts carefully.
Operating instructions
Note:
• The blade assemblies are very sharp and should be handled with extreme care.
• Hot food must only be put into the jug when the lid cap (1) can be left open.
• Place the blender on a firm, level surface.
• Never fill the jug or beakers over the MAX mark.
• Never use the blender on uncooked root vegetables, potatoes, large pieces of meat, etc.
• Never use the blender for mixing dough.
• Never use the blender for longer than 2 minutes at a time. Switch the blender off and let the motor cool
down for a few minutes before using it again.
• Never turn on the blender without any of the blade assemblies or beakers attached.
• Never attach other types of blade assemblies or containers onto the motor unit.
• Never use the blade assemblies, jug or beakers on another blender motor unit.
• Never try to detach the jug or any of the beakers from the motor unit while the blender is switched on.
• Never try to attach the jug or any of the beakers to the motor unit while the blender is switched on.
• Never run the blender without anything in the jug or beaker.
Using either the small or large beaker
Note: Never fill either of the beakers with hot foods or liquids.
1. Make sure that the mains lead is unplugged.
2. Put the food to be blended into the beaker (13 or 14).
3. Screw the cross-blade assembly (7) onto the beaker (14), making sure that the blade assembly gasket is in
place. Tighten properly, but do not overtighten.
4. Place the beaker with the attached blade assembly onto the motor unit and align the unlocked symbol
on the blade assembly with the ▲symbol on the motor unit.
5. Turn the beaker until the locked symbol is aligned with the ▲symbol on the motor unit.
Note: The blender will not start unless all the parts are assembled correctly.
6. Plug the mains lead into a wall socket.
7. Switch the blender on by turning the mode selector to 1, 2or P. For the pulse mode (P), the selector switch
is spring-loaded and must be held in place in order for the motor to start. Do not operate the blender for
longer than 2 minutes at a time. Let the motor cool down a little before using it again.
8. Turn the mode selector to the 0position once you have finished blending.
9. Unscrew the beaker and blade assembly from the motor unit, detach the blade assembly from the beaker
and pour the contents of the beaker into another container or screw one of the included lids onto the beaker.
