• Pull out theplug and let thecoffee maker cool down before cleaning it.
• Wipe theoutside of thecoffee maker with asoft damp cloth. Use only mild
cleaning agents. Never use solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• The pot and its lid are dishwasher safe.
Descaling
• Always descale thecoffee maker regularly to make sure that it is functioning
efficiently.
• If alarge amount of scale is allowed to build up, it will be very difficult to remove it,
even using adescaling agent. Scale can also cause leaks in thebrewing system.
We recommend that theappliance is descaled after every thirty to forty pots of
coffee. For descaling you can use amixture of white vinegar and water:
1. Mix 2−3 tablespoons of white vinegar (12%) with themaximum amount of cold
water thecoffee maker will hold.
2. Pour this solution into thereservoir. Insert afilter into thefilter holder without adding
any coffee.
3. Switch thecoffee maker on. Repeat if necessary.
4. Descale thecoffee maker in awell ventilated area and avoid breathing in
thefumes.
5. Run themachine through two to three cycles with around 10 cups of clean water,
but without coffee, before using it again.
