Safety
General safety instructions for powertools
Warning! Readall theinstructions. Failure to adhere to thefollowing instructions may lead to
electric shocks, fires and/or serious injury. Theterm “power tools” in thewarning text below refers
to your handheld mains operated or battery operatedtool.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
1) Work area
a) Keep thework area clean and well illuminated. Cluttered and poorly lit areas invite accidents.
b) Do not use power tools in explosive environments,e.g. near to flammable liquids,
gases ordust. Powertools generate sparks that can easily ignite dust orfumes.
c) Keep children and other bystanders away from thearea where you are using
thepowertool. Distractions can cause you to lose your concentration and control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Thepower tool’s plug must fit correctly into thewall socket. Nevermodify theplug in
anyway. Neveruse anadaptor together with earthed powertools. Unmodified plugs
and suitable wall sockets minimize therisk of electric shocks.
b) Avoid physical contact with earthed objects such as pipes, radiators, ovens and
refrigerators. Thereis anincreased risk of receiving anelectrical shock if your body is earthed.
c) Do not expose thepower tool to rain or other wet conditions. Ifwater gets inside it
increases therisk of electricshock.
d) Do not abuse themainslead. Neveruse thelead to carry thetool or pull theplug
from awall socket. Keepthelead away from heat, oil, sharp edges and movingparts.
Damaged or tangled leads increase therisk of electricshock.
e) When using power tools outdoors, use anextension lead that is suitable for this
purpose. Theuse of anextension lead designed for outdoor use decreases therisk of
electric shocks.
f) If theuse of thepower tool in awet environment is unavoidable, awall socket
equipped with aresidual current device (RCD) should beused.
Using anRCD significantly reduces thechances of you receiving anelectricshock.

3) Personal safety
a) Pay attention to what you are doing and use common sense when using powertools.
Neveruse power tools if you are tired or under theinfluence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. Onemoment of inattention while using apower tool may result in aserious injury.
b) Wear protective clothing. Always wear safety glasses. Usingprotective clothing such as
dust masks, non-slip safety shoes, helmets and ear defenders decreases therisk of injury.
c) Avoid accidental starts. Makesure that thepower switch is set to OFF before
plugging thepower tool into awall socket, fitting thebattery or picking up/carrying
thepowertool. Carrying apower tool with your finger on thepower switch/trigger or
connecting thepower tool to awall socket when thepower switch is set to ON is inviting
anaccident.
d) Remove all service tools/keys before switching on thepowertool. Aservice tool left on
any moving part of thepower tool may result in injury.
e) Do not overreach. Makesure you stand steady and well balanced at alltimes.
This ensures better control over thepower tool in unexpected situations.
f) Wear suitable clothing. Donot wear loose-fitting clothing or jewellery. Keephair,
clothes and gloves away from movingparts. Loose-fitting clothes, jewellery or long hair
could become caught in movingparts.
g) If equipment for dust extraction or collecting is available make sure it is connected
and used properly. Usingtechnical aids may decrease dust related hazards.
4) Use and maintenance of the power tool
a) Do not force thepowertool. Useapower tool suitable for thework you are about to
perform. Theproper power tool will perform thetask better and safer if used at thecorrect
feedrate.
b) Never use thepower tool if thepower switch does not switch thetool on and off properly.
Allpower tools that cannot be controlled by thepower switch are dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Unplug thelead from thewall socket or remove thebattery before making any
adjustments, changing accessories or storing thepowertool. These precautions reduce
therisk of thepower tool starting unexpectedly.
d) Store power tools that are not being used out of children’sreach. Donot allow people
who are unfamiliar with thetool or its functions to operate thetool. Power tools can be
dangerous if they fall into thehands of inexperiencedusers.
e) Maintaining powertools. Checkfor any incorrect settings, parts that catch, broken
parts or anything else which may cause thepower tool to malfunction. If something is
damaged it must be repaired beforeuse. Manyaccidents are caused by poorly maintained
powertools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp andclean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp blades
are less likely to jam and are easier to control.
g) Use thepower tool, and any accessories in accordance with these instructions,
take into consideration theworking conditions and thework that is to be performed.
Using thepower tool for apurpose other than that for which it is intended could result in
adangerous situation.

5) Service
a) Repairs and service should only be performed by qualified tradesmen, and only with
original spareparts. Thisguarantees that thesafety of thepower tool is maintained.
Specic safety warnings for multi-tools
• This electric hand tool is intended for sawing, sanding, polishing and cutting.
Read all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided with
thistool. Neglecting to follow all of theinstructions listed below can result in electric shock,
fire and/or serious injury.
• Do not use accessories which are not intended to be used with this tool and which are
not recommended by themanufacturer. Evenif theaccessory can be attached to your
power tool, there is no guarantee that it can be used safely.
• Wear personal protective equipment. Depending on how you use themachine; use
avisor/face protection or safety glasses. Ifnecessary use amask, ear protection,
gloves, and apron/work clothing to protect you from small shards of metal or splinters
from thework object. Theeye protection you use must be able to protect against
flying debris produced in different working positions. Thebreathing protection should
be able to filter any particles produced by thework. Prolonged exposure to high levels of
noise can result in hearing damage.
• Keep children at asafe distance from theworkarea. Everyone who visits theplace
of work must wear personal protective equipment. Debris from theworkpiece or from
adamaged accessory can fly off and injure people outside of theimmediate workarea.
• Only hold thepower tool by its insulated gripping surfaces when working in situations
where thetool could cut through hidden cables or its own mainslead. Toolswhich
come in contact with alive cable can electrify metal parts of thepower tool and subject
theuser to anelectricshock.
• Regularly clean themotor’s ventilationports. Themotor’s fan pulls in dust, which gets
inside theouter casing and abuild up of this collected metal dust can lead to electrical dangers.
• Do not use thepower tool near flammable material. Sparks can easily ignite flammable material.
• Do not use accessories, which require liquid coolants. Theuse of water or other liquid
coolants can result in electric shock or electrocution.
Specic safety instructions for sanding
• Extra caution should be taken when sanding lead paint, wood, metal or other materials
which produce toxicdust. Makesure any bystanders in thework area are well protected.
• Remember that dust caused by sanding can be very flammable when mixed withair.

Safety instructions specic for cutting
• Hold power tool by its insulated gripping surfaces when performing anoperation
in where thecutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord could
cut through hidden cables or its owncord. Cutting accessory contacting a “live” wire
may make exposed metal parts of thepower tool “live” and could give theoperator
anelectricshock.
• Always wear adustmask.
Vibration
• Themeasurement of thevibration emission level declared in this instruction manual has been
carried out in accordance with astandardised test method described in EN60745 and can
be used for comparing one power tool with another.
• Themeasurement method may also be used for apreliminary assessment of vibration exposure.
• Thedeclared vibration emission level applies when thepower tool is used in accordance with
this instruction manual. Ifhowever, thepower tool is used for other purposes and with other
accessories or has not been properly maintained, thevibration emission level could increase
significantly over thetotal working period.
• For anexact assessment of thevibration exposure, thetimes when thetool is switched off
or running idle should also be taken into account. Thissignificantly reduces thevibration
exposure over thetotal working period. Decideupon safety measures to protect theoperator
from theeffects of vibration during all types ofuse.

Scraper blade
Used for theremoval of paint, glue, etc.
Delta sanding plate
Perfect for sanding those hard-to-reach places, such as
corners. Changing thegrade of sandpaper used allows you
to sand wood, stone, paint and soforth.
Plunge-cutter saw blade
Ideal for deep incisions in wood,e.g. cutting holes for fitting
airvents. Canalso be used for sawing in confined spaces.
Thissaw blade can even saw throughnails.
Extra accessories
TheCocraft range includes several other accessories compatible with this multi-tool, amongst others:

Operating instructions
Mounting the locking washer and accessories
Note: Always unplug themains lead from thewall socket before mounting and changing accessories.
1. Turn thelocking lever
out fully.
2. Mount thelocking washer (7), if it is not already
mounted. Thetool mount is magnetic in order to hold
thewasher in place.

3. Turn thelocking lever back so that
it stands at 90° from thefront of
themachine. Thelocking washer
cannot fall from thetool mount when
thelocking lever is in this position.
4. Slide in thetool of your choice under
thewasher and up onto themount so that
themounting pins align with theholes on
thetool (it is up to your discretion on what
angle to set thetool).
5. Turn thelocking lever back fully.

See thefigures above.
1. Turn thelocking lever so that it is positioned at 90° from thefront of themachine.
2. Remove thetool from themount.
3. Slide in thetool of your choice under thewasher and up onto themount so that themounting
pins align with theholes on thetool (it is up to your discretion on what angle to set thetool).
4. Turn thelocking lever back completely.
Tools with snap-in ttings
Thelocking washer must first be removed whenever attaching tools with snap-in fittings.

3. Remove thelocking washer from
thetool mount.
4. Place thetool onto themount.
5. Refit thelocking washer and turn
thelocking lever back completely.
Changing sanding sheets
Thesanding sheets are attached with hook and loop fasteners. Remove theold sanding sheet,
brush off thehook and loop fabric on thesanding pad if necessary, and then attach thenew
sandingsheet.
Mounting the dust extraction attachment
Screw thedust extraction attachment
onto themulti-tool and connect it to
anappropriate vacuum cleaner.
