Safety
• This product is only intended for indoor, household use.
• Make sure that thevoltage used is suitable for theappliance.
Refer to therating plate.
• Use only anearthed power point for this appliance.
• Always disconnect theappliance from themains before
cleaning or during periods of non-use.
• To avoid electric shock, protect theappliance and its power
lead from moisture or liquids.
• Never lower theproduct into water or other liquids.
• Never place thepower lead over hot surfaces or sharp edges
and corners.
• Do not pull out theplug by directly pulling on thepower lead,
pull theplug itself.
• Theappliance becomes very hot during use, be careful not to
touch any hot parts with your bare hands.
• Thepower lead should be regularly checked. Never use
thedevice if thepower lead or plug is damaged.
• Thepower lead if damaged in order to avoid therisk of shock
or fire, may only be changed by themanufacturer, qualified
service station or professional.
• Never let children use theappliance without adult supervision.
• Never use theproduct in thevicinity of other sources of heat
e.g. thecooker.
• Never heat thecrock pot when it is empty.

• Never use accessories other than theones included.
• Never use theproduct for anything other than its intended use.
• Thecrock pot can also be used in amicrowave oven or
conventional oven. However, do not use thelid of thecrock
pot in theoven or microwave.
• Theproduct may be used by children aged 8 or over provided
they have been instructed in thesafe use of theproduct and
that they understand thehazards or risks involved. Cleaning
and maintenance may be carried out by children aged 8 or
over, but only under adult supervision. Keep theproduct and
its mains lead out of reach of children under theage of 8.
• Theproduct may be used by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or persons with alack of
experience or knowledge which could jeopardize their safety,
provided they have been instructed in thesafe operation of
theproduct and understand thehazards involved. Never let
children play with theproduct.
• Never operate theproduct without food in thepot.
• Never operate theproduct by means of anexternal timer or
separate remote control system.

Getting Started
1. Unpack theproduct and make sure to remove all packing and protective material.
2. Wash thelid and crock pot in water and alittle washing-up detergent before using
them for thefirst time.
3. Thecrock pot and lid can be rinsed in water. Thehousing however, should never
be submerged or rinsed with water. Thehousing should only be wiped with paper
towels or adamp cloth.
4. Replace thecrock pot and lid.

Operating Instructions
Control levels
There are three heat levels:
OFF – No heat (cooker turned off)
LOW – Low heat
HIGH – High heat
WARM – “Keep warm” setting
Note: TheWARM setting is only for keeping food warm. Food should only be cooked
on theLOW or HIGH setting and then thecooker should be set to WARM to keep
thefood warm.
Cooking
1. First, follow theinstructions in theGetting Started section.
2. Prepare theingredients according to therecipe and place them into thecrock pot.
3. Plug thecooker into anearthed socket and set thecontrol knob (4) to theheat
setting (LOW/HIGH/WARM) needed for therecipe you are following. Theindicator
lamp will come on.
4. When thefood is ready, turn thecontrol to OFF and unplug thecooker.
5. Empty thecontents into aserving plate or serve directly from thecrock pot.
6. Allow thepot and lid to cool before cleaning them.
Note:
• Thecrock pot will become hot during thecooking process. Use oven mitts
or anoven cloth when handling thecrock pot.
• Lift thelid away from you to avoid being scalded by steam.
Cooking Tips
Certain ingredients are not suitable for slow cooking. Pasta, shellfish and
dairy products should be added at theearliest 2 hours before serving.
Note that cooking times can vary depending on thetemperature and amount
of ingredients. Ingredients in large pieces can require alonger cooking time.

Care and maintenance
Cleaning
• Always unplug theproduct from thewall socket before cleaning.
• Wipe thehousing with asoft, damp cloth.
Note: Never immerse or rinse thehousing in water.
• Wash thecrock pot and lid in warm water and washing-up liquid.
• Thelid and pot can also be washed in thedishwasher.
Handling the crock pot and lid
• If the pot and lid are well cared for they will last longer.
• Avoid exposing the pot and lid to sudden temperature changes such as
placing them onto a cold surface or into cold water.
• Do not expose the pot or lid to knocks or blows.
• Do not use the pot or lid if they are split or cracked.
• Do not use any sharp or abrasive utensils with this product. Use plastic
or wooden kitchen utensils.
Disposal
Follow local ordinances when disposing of this product.
If you are unsure about thedisposal of this product contact your municipality.
