Before initial use
1. Read theSafety section below.
2. Remove all packaging and ensure that there are no foreign objects remaining
inside thetoaster.
3. Wipe theexterior of thetoaster with adampcloth.
4. Make sure that thecrumb tray is pushed all theway in and that thetoasting lever
is fully raised.
5. Connect themains lead to a230 V powerpoint.
6. Set thebrowning control to level1.
7. Depress thetoasting lever without having put any bread into theslots.
Thetoaster might emit asmall amount of smoke as themanufacturing residue is
burned off; this is quite normal and will stop as theheating elements get hotter.
8. Repeat points 6 and 7 afewtimes.
9. Refer to thesections Buttons and functions and Operation below for further details
on how thetoaster works.
Safety
• This product must not be used by anyone (including children) suffering from
physical or mental impairment. Thisproduct should not be used by anyone that
has not read theinstruction manual unless they have been instructed in its use by
someone who will take responsibility for their safety.
• Never let children play with thetoaster.
• Place thetoaster on aflat, non-flammable surface and out of children’s reach.
Makesure that there is adequate space above and on all sides for air circulation.
• Do not touch any other parts of thetoaster other than its controls as it becomes
hot during use.
• Always unplug thelead from thepower point and let thetoaster cooldown
before handling it.
• Never place thetoaster close to or under flammable material such as curtains.
• Do not place thetoaster where there is arisk of it falling into wateror
other types of liquid.

• The toaster should only be connected to anearthed 230 V powerpoint.
• The toaster should only be used as described in theinstruction manual.
• Never leave thetoaster unattended whilst it is inuse.
• Make sure that themains lead does not drape over theedge of atable or worktop.
Makesure that thelead does not come into contact with hot surfaces such as
cooker hobs.
• Always unplug thetoaster from thepower point before cleaning it or when it is not
to be used for alongtime.
• Never immerse thetoaster inwater.
• If aslice of bread gets stuck in thetoaster, unplug thetoaster and let it cool before
trying to remove thebread. Dislodge thebread using awooden or
plastic utensil to avoid damaging theheating element.
• Never subject thetoaster to rough treatment, such as knocks andblows.
• Do not pull or carry thetoaster by thelead.
• The toaster should only be used and stored indoors.
• Do not use thetoaster if its mains lead or plug is damaged.
• Do not use thetoaster if it is in any way damaged, has parts missing or
does not seem to work properly.
• Do not open thecasing. Certain components within thecasing carry dangerous
currents and if touched may give you anelectric shock.
• Never place anything on top of thetoaster.
• The toaster should only be repaired by qualified service technicians using
original spareparts.
• The toaster should not be disassembled or modified.
Care and maintenance
• Clean thetoaster using alightly moistened cloth. Onlyuse mild cleaning agents,
never solvents or corrosive chemicals.
• Empty and clean thecrumb tray regularly.
• Always unplug thetoaster from thepower point when it is not inuse.
Disposal
This product should be disposed of in accordance with local regulations.
If you are unsure how to proceed, contact your local authority.

Operation
Note: Onlyuse bread of anappropriate size. Neverattempt to toast bread with any
kind of filling, bread which falls apart when handled or any other kind of bread which is
likely to get stuck inside thetoaster.
Toasting
1. Connect themains lead to a230 V powerpoint.
2. Insert theslices of bread into thetoasting slots.
3. Set thebrowning control to level 3 or4.
4. Lower thetoasting lever. Thebread will automatically be centred in theslots.
Note:Thetoasting lever will not lock into place unless thetoaster is plugged into
a powerpoint.
5. When thebread has been toasted, it will pop up automatically and thetoasting
lever will return to thestarting position. Note:Thetop of thetoaster can become
veryhot.
6. The browning control can be adjusted as desired. Donot adjust thebrowning
control whilst toasting is in progress. Firstpress [CANCEL] and then change
the browning setting before lowering thetoasting lever again and toasting until
the desired level of browning has been achieved.
Reheating previously toasted bread
1. Connect themains lead to a230 V powerpoint.
2. Insert theslices of toast to be reheated into thetoasting slots.
3. Lower thetoasting lever.
4. Press [REHEAT].
5. The toast will be warmed up for ashort while. Keepaneye on thetoast to make
sure that it does notburn.
Defrosting
1. Connect themains lead to a230 V powerpoint.
2. Insert thefrozen slices of bread into thetoasting slots.
3. Lower thetoasting lever.
4. Press [DEFROST].

Före första användning
1. Läs avsnittet Säkerhet nedan.
2. Avlägsna allt förpackningsmaterial och kontrollera att inga främmande föremål
finns kvar ibrödfacken.
3. Torka av brödrostens utsida med enfuktig trasa.
4. Kontrollera att smulbrickan är helt inskjuten på sin plats och att nermatnings-/
startreglaget är helt uppskjutet.
5. Anslut nätkabeln till ett230 V jordat uttag.
6. Ställ vridreglaget på rostningsgrad 1.
7. Starta brödrosten utan att något bröd placeras ibrödfacken. Detkan ryka svagt
från brödrosten när rester från tillverkningsprocessen bränns bort, detta är helt
normalt. Eventuell rökutveckling kommer att upphöra när värmeelementen hettats
upp.
8. Upprepa punkt 6 och 7 några gånger.

brödrostens funktioner.
Säkerhet
• Brödrosten får inte användas av personer (inklusive barn) med begränsad fysisk
eller mental förmåga. Denfår inte heller användas av personer utan tillräcklig
erfarenhet och kunskap om de inte har fått instruktioner om användningen av
någon som ansvarar för deras säkerhet.
• Låt aldrig barn leka med brödrosten.
• Placera brödrosten på ettjämnt, brandsäkert underlag utom räckhåll förbarn.
Setill att det finns tillräckligt med utrymme på alla sidor för god ventilation.
• Vidrör inte några andra delar än reglagen eftersom brödrosten blir het vid användning.
• Dra alltid stickproppen ur vägguttaget och låt brödrosten svalna innan den flyttas.
• Placera aldrig brödrosten inärheten av eller under brännbart material som t.ex.
en gardin.
• Placera inte brödrosten så att den kan falla ner ivatten eller annan vätska.
• Brödrosten får endast anslutas till ettjordat vägguttag med 230V.

• Brödrosten får endast användas på det sätt som beskrivs iden här bruksanvisningen.
• Håll brödrosten under uppsikt när den används.
• Se till att nätsladden inte hänger ut över bänken eller bordets kant. Seockså till att
den inte kommer ikontakt med varma ytor, som t.ex. envarm spisplatta.
• Dra alltid stickproppen ur vägguttaget före rengöring eller om brödrosten inte ska
användas under enlängre period.
• Sänk aldrig ned brödrosten ivatten.
• Om enbrödskiva fastnar ibrödrosten, dra stickkontakten ur vägguttaget och låt
brödrosten svalna innan du försöker ta ur brödskivan. Användettlämpligt föremål
av trä eller plast så att inte brödrostens värmeelement skadas.
• Utsätt inte brödrosten för slag eller stötar.
• Dra eller bär inte brödrosten inätsladden.
• Brödrosten får endast användas och förvaras inomhus.
• Använd inte brödrosten om nätsladden eller stickproppen är skadade.
• Använd inte brödrosten om den på något sätt är skadad, saknar delareller
inte verkar fungera normalt.
• Öppna inte höljet. Farligspänning finns oskyddad på vissa komponenter.
Kontakt med dessa kan ge upphov till elektriska stötar.
• Placera aldrig föremål ovanpå brödrosten.
• Brödrosten får endast repareras med originalreservdelar av kvalificerad
servicepersonal.
• Brödrosten får inte ändras eller demonteras.
Skötsel och underhåll
• Rengör brödrosten med enlätt fuktad trasa. Användettmilt rengöringsmedel,
aldrig lösningsmedel eller frätande kemikalier.
• Töm och rengör smulbrickan regelbundet.
• Dra alltid ur stickproppen ur vägguttaget när brödrosten inte används.
Avfallshantering
När du ska göra dig av med produkten ska detta ske enligt lokala föreskrifter.
