Starting the air conditioner
Step 1: Ensure the air-conditioner is
plugged in at the wall power outlet and is
switched on. The air de•ector will open
and close before entering stand-by mode.

the control panel or remote control
(Fig. 8 & 9). The air de•ector will open

Mode selection
Step 1: Press the MODE button on the
control panel or the remote control to
select the desired operating mode.
• Cool mode - refrigerated cooling
• Dry (or Dehumidify) mode - for
extracting moisture from the air.
• Fan mode - fan only operation.
• Energy saving mode - refrigerated
cooling with automatic control of the
fans.
Step 2: Press the UP and DOWN buttons
to select the desired room temperature
in 1°C (or 1°F) increments. The set
temperature range is 16 - 30°C (60 -
86°F). Cooling will only occur if the set
temperature is less than the ambient
room temperature.
Change between Celsius and Fahrenheit
temperature scales by pressing both UP
and DOWN together.
Note! Do not set the cooling temperature
too low as this will consume more
power. 24°C is the recommended set
temperature.
Step 3: Press the FAN button on the
control panel or the remote control to
adjust the fan speeds.
Note! In cooling mode the fan will
continue to operate even if the
compressor has turned off.
Note! In dehumidifying mode the
fan speed is locked at low and the
temperature cannot be adjusted.
Note! In energy saving mode the fan
will stop for two and a half minutes after
the compressor has turned off due to
reaching the set temperature. The fan will
then operate at low speed for 30 seconds
and continue to cycle in this manner until
the ambient air rises and the compressor
turns on.
Important! During operation, water will
slowly collect in the air conditioner’s
tank. This occurs more rapidly in
humid conditions. This water is re-
circulated, with some being exhausted
with the hot air. If the tank should !ll,
the air conditioner will shut down and
the WATER-TANK FULL indicator will
activate. The cooler cannot be restarted
until the water tank is drained. Refer to
the Maintenance section for draining the
tank should this occur.
Sleep mode
Sleep mode can only be used in Cool or
Energy saving modes. During sleep mode
the set temperature will increase 1°C
after 2 hours and 4 hours, after which the
new temperature will be maintained.
Step 1: Press the SLEEP button to
activate sleep mode. Alternatively, press
both TIMER and UP on the control panel.
Step 2: To cancel sleep mode press
SLEEP, change modes, or set the air
conditioner to stand-by mode.
