1. INTRODUCTION
The development of products by Core Audio Co. Ltd. started almost 10 years ago. Our
company started it’s mission by perfecting the PC based audio playing. Our technicians and
engineers in charge of the development discovered that a basic problem is that, in order to
get the expanding of the bandwidth of the source through the sound reproduction chain to
the listener, you have to make sure that the equipment connected the source are also ready
to receive the increased level of information. When creating this product our goal was to
create an ideal interface to make sure that the mass of digital signals arriving from the source
are transferred to the digital-analog converter by our USB/SPDIF transformer with minimal
loss of information or transformation. We believe our goals set when creating the products
were necessary because the digital signal can only disconnect from the USB port and travel
through a coax or AES/EBU connector towards the digital-analog converter when the audiofil
ways are completely fulfilled.
This product was tested and developed by the Core Audio Co. Ltd. for many years and many
costumers use it satisfied in their systems to this day. Our developments due to the latest
technical inventions didn’t stop and won’t stop; we try to keep our product up to date and on
the highest standard.

2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
When we were creating the product our base was the Streacom FC10 Alpha case. This case
includes the necessary components that make the high quality Music Servers as digital source
possible. We based the whole product around this case included our developed 8 circle full
analogue power supply and 2 pieces of toroidal transformers.
When designing the product we took into account what kind of parts each base components
consist of, and how much heat should we dissipate from them, and give an electric power fully
by analogue circuit parts.
The equipment operates with 230V/50Hz input voltage and it’s power supply is completely
separated for all stages with a low-noise analog power circuit. For the external power supply
we use a high quality FURUTECH IEC standard socket. The internal cabling is fit for the ATX
standards.
The case of the device has a part specially made to actively take part in leading heat off from
the 8 power circuits. The other side of the case cooling the CPU.
The most important component is the motherboard. A long development time was required
for us to choose an optimal parts and optimal manufacturer brands for this product.
Front and top of the device:
On the front panel of the device there is the On/Off switch with a LED indicator. To turn the
Music Server On you have to press the button until it clicks. When it is on the LED indicator
will glow in a white circle.

Back panel:
On the back panel you can find the following ports:
- IEC socket: the power supply cord has to be connected here
- USB out: suitable to connect a standard USB 3.0 cable, the device will give the signal to
USB/SPDIF converters or USB input DACs.
- HDMI, DVI monitor OUT: user can connect his monitor, display to make a basic
installation on the music server (player software settings, network settings etc.). After
the basic installation the monitor or display can be disconnected.
- Ethernet IN: this port is necessary for connect the music server to the internet and the
home network. On the home network can control the music server by mobile devices
(Android, iOS). Sometimes the player softwares needed the internet connection
(album arts, JPlay etc.).

4. CONNECTING THE DEVICE:
Only turn on the device with the „ON” button when you already connected the
necessary cables (Power cord, USB output, HDMI/DVI outputs, Ethernet input etc.) to
the right in or outputs of all devices.
The maximum lenght of the USB cable cannot exceed 3 meters! We recommend a
cable between 1 and 2 meters. With the AES/EBU and SPDIF cables we recommend
maximum 3 meters.
Never use cables with damaged cover or damaged plugs or with faulty connections
Proper order of turning on equipments:
o Speaker devices
o USB/SPIDF converter
o Digital/analog converter
o Music Server
Never unplug the device from the source or the USB/SPDIF converter and DAC during
playing because the device can be physically damaged
Wrecking or taking off the cover of the device while it is connected to electricity is
Forbidden and can result in death.
The device must be breaking-in as other audio device for an optimal performance and
user experience. We recommend 250-300 hours of breaking-in time.

We recommend continuous operation of this device for a maximum of 10 hours- in
order to conserve the lifespan of the built in clock signal generators.

5. Installation variations:
A.,
In this variation the DAIDO Barebone Music Server connected directly with USB cable to the
USB/SPDIF converter and the audio signal goes from the Music Server in this cable.
The control is the users choice: Normal Control with monitor+keyboard+mouse or Wireless
Remote Control with iOS/Android applications via wifi connection. Both of them works
together of course. With the Normal Control devices the user can set the network settings,
user interface settings in music player softwares. After this process the Normal Control devices
can be unplugged.

In this variation the DAIDO Barebone Music Server connected directly with USB cable to the
USB/SPDIF converter and the audio signal goes from the Music Server trough this cable to the
other devices.
The User can control the music server without Normal Control devices (after the setup). In this
case the user can disconnect the monitor, keyboard and mouse. With JRiver + JRemote combo
or with ROON software solutions the user have a full control of his music server and the normal
control devices aren’t necessary for audio listening.
We recommend this solution. Why? There are two important reasons:
- the monitors and plasma TV-s works with switch mode PSU and bring audio distortions
into the system
- the monitor’s and TV’s display is a big reflection surface, the stereo space can be better
without this devices

In this case the User aren’t use a separated USB/SPDIF converter. The Music server is
connected directly with USB cable to the DAC.
