Supply

Magnetic drill stand with safety chain, Weldon-drive arbor MT3,

combination wrench, ever 1 Allen key 2,5 , 5 and 8 mm in a metal case.

Application for Indented Purpose

Together with the EIBENSTOCK–drills EHB 32/2.2 R, EHB 32/2.2 R R/L

and EHB 32/4.2, the drill stand is intended for precision drilling in

magnetic materials such as steel.

Other drills may not be used, as these cannot be fastened sufficiently

safe.

The drill stand can be used horizontally, vertically as well as overhead. It

must be observed that the mounting surface on the magnetizable material

(thickness > 8 mm) is sufficient for the transmission of the magnetic force.

Safety Instructions

Read all safety warnings and instructions provided with

the drill stand and the drill. Failure to follow the warnings

and instructions may result in electric shock, fire and/or

serious injury.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

Pull the plug from the socket outlet before carrying out

adjustments on the power tool or replacing accessory parts.

Unintentional starting of drills is the cause of some accidents.

Assemble the drill stand properly before mounting the drill.

The correct assembly is important in order to ensure proper function.

Before using, fasten the drill securely to the drill stand.

An unsecured drill in the drill stand can lead to loss of control.

Fasten the drill stand onto firm and plane surface.

If the drill stand can slip away or wobble, then the drill can not be

guided evenly and securely.

When drilling overhead or on surfaces that are not horizontal,

secure the drill stand with a safety chain.

In case of a power failure or excessive load, the holding force of the

magnet is not maintained. The drill stand can fall down and cause

accidents.

Connect the drill stand to a properly earthed mains supply.

The socket outlet and the extension cable must be equipped with an

operative protective conductor.

Keep the connection cable of the drill away from the working area.

Damaged or entangled cables increase the risk of an electric shock.

Maintain the drill stand with care. Check for misalignment or

binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any other

condition that may affect the function of the drill stand. Have

damaged parts repaired before using the drill stand. Many

accidents are caused by poorly maintained devices.

Have your drill stand serviced/repaired only by a qualified repair

person using original replacement parts. This will ensure that the

safety of the device is maintained.

The safety warnings and working instructions for the drill as well

as for the drilling tools and accessories being used are to be

strictly observed!

During use, the user and other persons standing nearby have to wear

suitable ear protectors, goggles, helmets, protective gloves and boots.

Always work concentrated and carefully. Do not use the tool when

you are lacking in concentration.

The magnetic drill stand B 32 is made in protection class I. Only use 3-

wire extension cable with protective conductor.

First, check the correspondence of voltage and frequency and compare it

with the data mentioned on the identification plate. Voltage differences from

+ 6 % to – 10 % are allowed.

Electrical Connection

Assembly – Inserting of the drill in the drill rig

Remove the auxiliary handle from your drill, if required (see the operating

instructions of the drill).

Loosen screw 5using an Allen key. Insert the drill with the drill collar

from above into the drill fixture 4to the stop. Mount screw 2in order to

connect the drill with the side holder 3. Hand-tight screw 5using an

Allen key.

Check the tight seating of the drill in the drill fixture.

Starting Operation

Switching On and Off

Insert the mains plug of the drill only into socket outlet 7. Switch the drill on

and lock the On/Off switch of the drill with the lock-on button.

Otherwise, the drill cannot be switched on or off via the On/Off switch

MOTOR 6on the drill stand.

Push the On/Off switch MAGNET 8upward and check if the drill stand

adheres to the workpiece surface.

To start the drill, press the On/Off switch MOTOR 6to position “I”.

Note: The drill can only be started when the magnet has already been

switched on.

To switch off the drill, press the On/Off switch MOTOR 6to position “0”.

Wait until the drill has come to a complete stop before pushing the On/Off

switch MAGNET 8downward in order to switch the magnet off.

Restarting protection

The restarting protection prevents uncontrolled starting of the drill after the

power supply is interrupted.

For restarting the operation, press the On/Off switch MOTOR 6to

position “I”.

Note: The magnet automatically switches on after resumption of the power

supply.

Operating Instructions

For drilling, observe the operating instructions of your drill.

The magnet holding force of the drill stand mainly depends on the

thickness of the workpiece. The thickness of the material should

not be less than 8 mm.

When drilling overhead or on surfaces that are not horizontal,

stand secure the drill satnd with a safety chain. In case of a power

failure or excessive load, the holding force of the magnet is not

maintained. The drill stand can fall down and cause accidents.

The surface must be smooth and clean. Smoot out coarse

irregularities, e.g., welding spatter and remove loose rust, dirt and

grease. The holding force of the magnet applies only for appropriate

surfaces.

Centre-punch metal workpieces.

Care and Maintenance

Before the beginning of the maintenance or repair works you

have to disconnect the plug from the mains!

Keep the drill stand clean at all times for good working results and safe

working.

If the drill stand should fail despite the care taken in manufacturing and

testing procedures, repair should be carried out by an authorised after-sales

service centre for EIBENSTOCK - power tools.

Environmental Protection

Raw material recycling instead of waste disposal

In order to avoid damages on transportation, the power tool has to be

delivered in sturdy packing. The packing as well as the tool and its

accessories are made of recyclable materials and can be disposed

accordingly.

The tool’s plastic components are marked according to their material,

which makes it possible to remove environmental friendly and

differentiated because of available collection facilities.

Only for EU countries

Do not dispose of electric tools together with household

waste material!

In observance of European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste

electrical and electronic equipment and its implementation in

accordance with national law, electric tools that have

reached the end of their life must be collected separately

and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling

facility.

Warranty

According to our general terms of delivery for business dealings, suppliers

have to provide to companies a warranty period of 12 months for redhibitory

defects (to be documented by invoice or delivery note).

Damages due to natural wear, overstressing or improper handling are

excluded from this warranty.

Damages due to material defects or production faults shall be eliminated

free of charge by either repair or replacement.

Complaints will be accepted only if the tool is returned in non-dismantled

condition to the manufacturer or an authorized Eibenstock service centre.
