INSTALLATION

Transit

devices

All

transit

bolts

and

packing

must

be

removed

before

using

the

appliance.

Proceed

as

follows:

Using

a

spanner,

un-

screw

and

remove

the

tear

right-hand

bait

and

tay

the

machine

on

its

back,

taking

care

not

to

squash

the

hoses.

This

can

be

avoided

by

plac-

ing

one

of

the

corner

packing

pieces

between

the

machine

and

the

from

the

underside

of

the

machine

and

release

the

two

plastic

bags

by

removing

the

adhesive

strip.

Carefully

remove

the

right-hand

bag

Positioning

Install

the

machine

on

a

flat

hard

floor.

Make

sure

that

air

circulation

around

the

machine.

by

Check

that

machine

does

not

touch

the

other

kitchen

units.

It

is

assumed

that

the

tap,

drainage

point

and

socket

are

within

reach

move

tap

Water

inlet

Connect

the

water

inlet

hose

to

a

tap

with

a

gas

thread

spout,

The

inlet

hose

is

provided

with

a

water

stop

device,

which

protects

against

damage

caused

by

water

leaks

in

the

hose

which

could

develop

due

to

nat-

ural

ageing

of

the

hose.

This

fault

is

shown

by

a

Should

this

occur,

turn

the

water

tap

off

and

refer

Service

Agent

repla-

ce

the

hose.

The

inlet

hose

must

not

be

extended,

If

it

is

too

short

and

you

do

not

wish

to

move

the

tap,

replace

it

completely

longer

high

pressure

hose

specifi-

cally

designed

to

solve

problems

of

this

type.

The

other

end

of

the

inlet

hose

connected

to

the

machine

can

be

turned

in

any

direction.

Simply

loosen

the

fitting,

Water

drainage

The

end

of

the

drain

hose

can

be

positioned

in

three

ways:

Hooked

over

the

edge

of

a

sink

using

the

plastic

hose

guide

sup-

plied

with

the

machine.

case,

sure

the

end

cannot

come

unhooked

when

the

machine

is

emptying.

This

could

be

done

by

it

to

the

tap

with

a

piece

of

string

or

attaching

it

to

wall.

In

a

sink

drain

pipe

branch.

This

branch

must

be

the

trap

so

that

the

bend

is

at

least

Directly

Electrical

connection

This

machine

is

designed

to

operate

on

a

220-230

V,

single-phase,

50

Hz

supply.

Check

that

your

domestic

electrical

installation

can

take

the

maximum

load

required

(2.2

kW),

also

taking

into

account

any

other

appliances

in

use.

Connect

the

machine

to

an

earthed

socket,

in

accor-

dance

with

current

wiring

regulations.

The

manufacturer

declines

any

responsibility

for

damage

or

injury

through

failure

to

comply

with

the

above

precaution.

Levelling

Position

the

appliance

and

level

it

by

tightening

or

loo-

sening

one

or

two

of

the

adjustable

feet.

Ensure

that

the

machine

is

resting

securely

with

all

four

feet

on

ground.

Once

machine

has

been

levelled,

tighten

up

the

lock

nuts

on

all

You

are

advised

not

to

leave

your

laundry

too

long,

especially

when

damp.

Damp

laundry

produces

mould

and

unpleasant

smeils.

Sort

your

laundry

Study

carefully

this

booklet

the

symbols

used

on

clothes

labels.

The

following

points

are

particularly

important:

a

line

under

the

bowl

means

that

the

garment

cannot

be

washed

using

programmes

for

resistant

fabrics

such

as

cotton

and

linen;

wash

coloured

garments

and

in

particular

those

with

non-fast

colours

separately

when

washing

for

the

first

time.

They

are

likely

to

lose

colour

the

first

time

they

are

washed;

non-resistant

fabrics

like

acrylic

and

most

curtain

materials

should

be

treated

as

delicate

fabrics:

anticrease

materials

like

polyester/cotton

should

be

treated

as

synthetics;

wool

programme

designed

specifically

for

pure

new

wool.

Other

types

of

wool

and

wool

mixtures

may

shrink

or

felt

if

machine-washed,

therefore

they

should

be

handwashed

or

dry

cleaned.

Pre-wash

Pre-wash

is

not

normally

necessary.

Your

new

washing

machine

combined

with

modern

detergents

will

give

perfect

washing

results

without

pre-wash,

thus

saving

energy,

time,

water

and

detergent.

However,

when

the

laundry

is

particularly

dirty

(for

example

if

you

have

to

wash

mechanics’

overalls

or

butchers’

aprons),

you

are

advised

to

use

prewash.

Temperatures

We

suggest

that

white

cotton

and

linen,

if

it

is

not

excessively

soiled,

can

be

washed

at

60°

instead

of

95°,

There

should

be

no

reduction

in

performance,

but

there

will

be

an

energy

saving.

The

same

applies

to

a

lesser

extent

to

fast

coloured

garments.

They

usually

require

a

temperature

of

60°

but

if

they

are

not

excessively

dirty,

you

will

have

satisfactory

results

at

40°.

Garments

with

non-fast

colours

should

not

be

washed

at

temperatures

above

40°.

If

fast

and

non-fast

colours

are

washed

together,

they

should

be

treated

as

non-fast

colours

and

therefore

the

temperature

should

not

exceed

40°.

Resistant

white

and

coloured

synthetics

can

normally

be

washed

at

60°

but

also

in

this

case

40°

fs

sufficient

if

the

laundry

is

not

excessively

dirty.

Delicate

synthetics,

synthetics

with

non-fast

colours

and

woollen

garments

must

never

be

washed

above

40°.

If

only

one

of

the

labels

specifies

30°,

this

temperature

must

be

selected

for

the

whole

wash.

manufacturer

declines

any

sibility

damage

deriving

from

the

use

of

volatile,

inflammable

or

toxic

substances.

Detergents

and

additives

Good

washing

results

also

depend

on

the

choice

of

detergent

and

use

of

the

correct

quantities

to

avoid

waste

and

protect

the

environment.

Although

biodegradable,

detergents

contain

substan-

ces

which

in

large

quantities

can

damage

the

delicate

ecological

balance

of

nature.

Always

use

good

quality

detergents

suitable

for

use

in

washing

machines.

it

is

important

to

know

that

this

machine

is

fitted

with

a

recirculation

system

that

enables

use

with

a

smail

quantity

of

detergent.

Compared

to

traditional

washing

machines,

with

this

wash

system,

it

is

possible

to

save

20-30%

detergent,

according

to

the

quantity

used.

The

quantities

indicated

by

the

manufacturer

on

the

detergent

pack

may

be

slightly

reduced.

Powder

detergents

The

washing

powder

should

be

piaced

in

the

priate

compartments

of

dispenser

After

a

Clean

the

drawer

from

time

by

rinsing

it

under

a

running

tap.

To

remove

the

drawer

from

the

machine,

press

the

button

in

the

rear

left-hand

corner.

To

facilitate

cleaning,

the

top

part

of

the

additive

com-

partment

can

be

removed.

Detergent

can

also

eventually

accumulate

inside

the

drawer

recess:

clean

it

with

an

old

tooth-

brush.

Refit

the

drawer

after

cleaning.

Drain

filter

The

drain

filter

collects

threads

and

smal!

objects

inadvertently

left

in

the

laundry.

Check

reguiarly

that

the

filter

is

clean.

Open

the

filter

door.

Place

a

container

under

filter

and

unscrew

it.

Pull

out the

filter.

Clean

the

filter

under

a

notice

that

is

taking

longer

to

fill,

check

that

the

filter

in

water

inlet

hose

is

not

blocked.

Turn

off

water

tap.

Unscrew

the

hose

from

tap

and

remove
