Cleaning
1. Put on protective gloves for cleaning.
2. Start by unlatching the manifold assembly from the lid, and disassemble the manifold to clean it and all
components with mild soap and warm water.
3. Using mild soap and a damp cloth, wipe down these areas:
a. Start with the pouch tray and continue throughout the inside of the lid.
b. Progress to the nozzle area at the top of the alcove.
c. Clean the alcove and area under the lid thoroughly.
4. Remove the drip tray with grate from the alcove.
a. Remove the grate from the drip tray.
b. Wash the drip tray and grate with warm soapy water.
5. After cleaning, wipe away all excess soap residue and dry with a towel.
Sanitizing
Before starting, ensure protective gloves are washed clean in hot water and soap. If they are damaged or cannot be
cleaned, dispose and put on a new pair.
1. Sanitize the following areas of the unit using 3% hydrogen peroxide and a clean, dry cloth:
a. Start with the pouch tray and continue throughout the inside of the lid.
b. Next, the nozzle:
i. Twist nozzle 1/4-turn counterclockwise and pull down.
ii. Sanitize and rinse clean with water.
c. Sanitize the individual manifold components.
d. Follow this process for the remaining surfaces inside the lid, drip tray, grate and alcove.
2. Replace the manifold assembly, nozzle, drip tray and grate when dry.
3. Using a separate dry microber cloth, wipe clean any ngerprints from the nozzle.
Note: Hydrogen peroxide must be wiped clean to avoid staining the unit.
