Zum Kauf dieses EMPHASER Nachrüstsystems für Mercedes-Benz Fahrzeuge.
Falls Sie beabsichtigen das System selbst einzubauen bitten wir Sie, sich eingehend mit
den nachfolgend im Detail beschriebenen Montage- und Einstellmöglichkeiten dieses Laut-
sprechersets vertraut zu machen.
Falls Sie weitere Fragen zu diesem Lautsprechersystem haben, lassen Sie sich von Ihrem
EMPHASER Händler beraten.
LIEFERUMFANG
Kontrollieren Sie, ob sich alle unten gelisteten Teile in der Verpackung befinden. Das System
besteht aus folgenden Einzel-Komponenten:
■ 1 Subwoofer Beifahrerseite
■ 1 Tiefpass-Frequenzweiche
■ 1 Bedienungsanleitung
MONTAGE
Dieser Subwoofer ist kompatibel mit einer Vielzahl von Mercedes-Benz Fahrzeugen. Für
eine schrittgenaue Anleitung zur korrekten Demontage des originalen Lautsprechers Ihres
Fahrzeuges wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihre Mercedes-Benz Servicewerkstatt. Exemplarisch
für alle Modelle soll folgende Anleitung für das Modell Mercedes-Benz C205 dienen.
Ziehen Sie vorsichtig die Schwellerabdeckung nach oben; sie ist nur gesteckt. Beginnen Sie
an Seite zur B-Säule hin und arbeiten sich nach vorne vor.
Entfernen Sie die Abdeckung unter dem Handschuhfach. Sie ist im vorderen Bereich mit
zwei Schrauben und hinten mit Klammern fixiert. Lösen Sie abschließend die Kabel von
der Abdeckung.
Der Teppich endet bei diesem Modell knapp vor den Sitzen. Ziehen Sie den Teppich erst
an dieser Seite hervor, danach ziehen Sie ihn nach oben und durch die Tür nach draußen.
Entfernen Sie die Fußstütze indem Sie die Muttern (Rechteck) lösen.
Entfernen Sie die drei mit einem Kreis markierten Schrauben, um den Zugang zum originalen
Subwoofer zu erleichtern.

Abschließend lösen Sie die drei Schrauben des Tieftöners. Zum Entriegeln des Lautsprecher-
steckers verwenden Sie einen schmalen Schlitzschraubendreher oder eine Büroklammer.
Entnehmen Sie dem originalen Tieftöner das Rückteil inklusive Dämmwolle und montieren
Sie es an gleicher Stelle am EMPHASER Subwoofer.
Montieren Sie den Emphaser Lautsprecher im Fahrzeug. Schließen Sie die dem Set beilie-
gende Tiefpass-Weiche an und verstauen Sie sie unterhalb des Tieftöners. Gegebenenfalls
wickeln Sie die Weiche in ein Tuch ein oder fixieren Sie sie fest, um Klappergeräusche zu
verhindern.
Setzen Sie das Fahrzeug in umgekehrter Reihenfolge wieder zusammen.

On your purchase of the EMPHASER subwoofer system dedicated for Mercedes-Benz
vehicles. If you plan on installing this speaker system by yourself, please read the following
instructions carefully before you attempt the installation.
For any further information about this product, please contact your authorized EMPHASER
dealer.
SET CONTENT
Carefully remove the loudspeakers, crossovers and the accessories from the gift box and
check whether all parts are in good undamaged condition, and match with the set contents
listed below:
■ 1 subwoofer
■ 1 lowpass crossover
■ 1 manual
ASSEMBLY
This set is compatible with a variety of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. For step by step instructions
on how to disassemble the original loudspeakers of your specific vehicle correctly, please
contact your Mercedes-Benz service workshop. The following instructions for the C205
model are to serve as an example for all models.
Carefully pull the sill cover up; it is just plugged. Start from the side of the B-pillar and work
your way forward.
Remove the cover under the glove compartment. It is fixed in the front area with two screws
and in the rear with some clips. Finally, disconnect the cables from this cover.
In this model the carpet ends just in front of the seats. Pull the carpet out this side first, then
pull it up and out the door.
Remove the footrest by loosening the nuts (rectangle).
Remove the three screws marked with a circle to facilitate access to the original subwoofer.

Finally, loosen the three screws of the woofer. To unlock the speaker connector, use a small
flat-head screwdriver or a paper clip.
Remove the rear part including insulation wool from the original woofer and mount it at the
same place on the EMPHASER subwoofer.
Install the Emphaser speaker in the vehicle. Plug in the low-pass crossover supplied with
the set and store it underneath the woofer. If necessary, wrap the switch in a cloth or fix it
firmly to prevent rattling noises.
Assemble the vehicle in reverse order.

EMPHASER LIMITED WARRANTY
Dear customer
Keep the original packing for later use and read the warranty specifications below carefully.
Should your EMPHASER product require warranty service, please return it to the retailer from whom
it was purchased or the distributor in your country. Should you have difficulty in finding an authorized
EMPHASER service center, details are available from your local distributor.
This EMPHASER product is warranted against defective materials and defects caused during ma-
nufacturing for a period of two years from date of purchase, to the original purchaser. Warranty work
will not be carried out unless the warranty certificate is presented together with the original sales slip.
WARRANTY LIMITATIONS
This warranty does not cover damages due to:
1. incorrect audio or power connection(s).
2. exposure to excessive humidity, fluids, sun rays or dirt and dust.
3. damage by accidents or mechanical shock.
4. abuse, unauthorized repair attempts and modifications not explicitly authorized by the manufacturer.
This warranty is limited to the repair or the replacement of the defective product at the manufacturer’s
option and does not include any other form of damage, whether incidental, consequential or other-
wise. The warranty does not cover any transport costs or damages caused by transport or shipment
of the product.

Wir bitten Sie, die Originalverpackung für einen allfälligen Transport aufzuheben und die Garantie-
Bestimmungen durchzulesen.
Sollten Sie für Ihren Aktivsubwoofer Garantie-Leistungen beanspruchen, wenden Sie sich bitte direkt
an den Händler, bei dem Sie das Gerät gekauft haben.
Bei Schwierigkeiten, ein geeignetes EMPHASER Service-Center zu finden, erhalten Sie bei Ihrem
jeweiligen Landes-Vertrieb weitere Informationen.
Der Hersteller gewährleistet auf dieses EMPHASER Produkt bei Material- oder Herstellungsfehlern
zwei Jahre Garantie an den Erstkäufer, geltend ab Kaufdatum der ausgestellten Rechnung. Garantie-
Ansprüche können nur mit einer korrekt und vollständig ausgefüllten Garantie-Karte zusammen mit
dem Original-Kaufbeleg geltend gemacht werden.
GARANTIE-EINSCHRÄNKUNGEN
Nicht unter Garantie fallen Schäden infolge von:
1. inkorrekten Audio- oder Stromanschlüssen.
2. schädlichen Einwirkungen von übermäßiger Feuchtigkeit, Flüssigkeiten, Hitze,
Sonneneinstrahlung oder starker Verschmutzung.
3. mechanischer Beschädigung durch Unfall oder Stössen.
4. Schäden durch nicht autorisierte Reparaturversuche oder nicht durch den Hersteller
ausdrücklich autorisierte Modifikationen.
Die Garantie dieses Produkts bleibt in jedem Fall auf die Reparatur bzw. den Ersatz (Entscheidung
durch Hersteller) des jeweiligen EMPHASER Produkts beschränkt. Schäden durch unsachgemäße
Verpackung und daraus resultierende Transportschäden werden nicht durch diese Garantie abge-
deckt. Jeder über diese Garantie-Erklärung hinausgehende Anspruch und jede Haftung für direkte
oder indirekte Folgeschäden werden ausdrücklich abgelehnt.
