Evolution-X E-Cigarette User's Guide

The instructions that come with an Evolution-X e-cigarette starter kit are so bad, we don't even include

them in the ackages anymore. Instead, we rovide the following user's guide that we created, which

we think ex lains things in a much clearer and more detailed way:

Charging the Batteries of your Evolution-X E-Cigarette

Although many eo le think that a brand new Evolution-X e-cigarette battery should be com letely

charged before it is ever used, this is not based u on any known sound electronic theory as it relates to

lithium ion batteries. Lithium ion batteries do not have a "memory" so there is no reason to follow the

charging ractices of old with e-cigarette batteries.

The fact is, when you first get an e-cig battery, you will not be the first erson to charge it anyway; the

factory always uts either a full or artial charge in batteries to test them before boxing them u and

shi ing them out.

It should be noted, however, that lithium ion batteries tend to last longer if they are not com letely

drained every time before they are charged. We realize this is es ecially hard to judge – es ecially with

a very small battery like the Evolution-X has.

Also kee in mind that if the factory just charged the battery enough to test it, it will not roduce quite

as much va or as a fully charged battery will and, of course, it will not last very long before needing to

be recharged. You really should charge your batteries before using them when you first get your kit but

if you absolutely must lay with your “new toy,” go ahead and take a few uffs using one of the

batteries before utting it on the charger to get its first good charge.

When an Evolution-X e-cigarette battery loses its charge com letely it will blink a dozen times or

more. Any further attem ts at using the battery will be futile. When that ha ens, it's definitely time to

charge your Evolution-X battery as follows:

1. Attach the USB charger's cord to the USB ort in the AC wall lug. You can also ski this ste

and lug your Evolution-X charger's cord directly into a com uter or any other device's

owered USB ort. Kee in mind, however, that it will take considerably more time to charge

an Evolution-X battery from the lower owered USB ort than it does from an AC wall outlet.

2. Plug the cord into a working AC outlet (obviously, you don't need to do this if you are going to

be charging your Evolution-X battery from a com uter or other USB device). The light on your

charger should turn green, indicating that it is getting ower.

3. Take your battery (the longest com onent of your Evolution-X e-cigarette that has a button on

it) and screw the threaded side into the Evolution-X charger, turning clockwise. DO NOT

SCREW YOUR Evolution-X BATTERY IN TOO TIGHTLY. Sto when there is resistance and

you see the light change from green to red. If you screw your Evolution-X battery onto the

charger too tightly, you may force the ost down into the battery where it will no longer be able

to make ro er contact with the charger or an atomizer.

4. Charge the battery until the light on the charger turns from red to solid green. Sometimes, you

may see the light on the charger flickering between red and green. This means that your battery

is only artially charged. It should take somewhere between 3 and 5 hours to charge a

com letely drained Evolution-X battery.

WARNING: he following precautions MUS be exercised when charging your Evolution-X

batteries:

1. Only recharge Evolution-X batteries with the manufacturer's battery charger. Using chargers

with incorrect voltage or current can cause a fire or ermanent failure.

2. Never leave a charging Evolution-X battery unattended.

3. Never charge an Evolution-X battery overnight while you slee .

4. Never charge an Evolution-X battery longer than necessary. When it is fully charged, remove

the battery. Leaving a battery on charge when it is full may degrade it’s erformance and could

result in a fire.

Assembling Your Evolution-X Electronic Cigarette

De ending on the ty e of Evolution-X Starter Kit you urchased, assembling it will be a little different.

PLEASE NO E:Evolution-X batteries are now lockable and are frequently shi ed in the "locked"

state. Being able to lock a battery is an im ortant new safety feature that allows you to carry an

assembled Evolution-X in your ocket without having to fear that it will turn on if you bend over the

wrong way.

You can lock or unlock an Evolution-X battery by ressing the button ra idly 5-7 times. When you do

this, the battery will flash several times, indicating that you have either locked or unlocked it. If your

Evolution-X battery's button is not glowing when you ress it, the battery is robably locked and you

will need to unlock it.

If your Evolution-X battery does not flash after ra idly ressing the button 5-7 times, you robably are

not ressing the button fast enough or it is a com letely uncharged battery. It is easy to tell if an

Evolution-X battery is not charged; the light on the charger will turn red when the battery is screwed

into it.

Standard Evolution-X Starter Kits

Standard Evolution-X electronic cigarettes have four ieces:

1. An Evolution-X Battery : It is the longest iece and has a button on it.

2. A 510 Atomizer : It is tube-sha ed, a roximately an inch long and is the only iece that can

screw into the inner threads of an Evolution-X battery.

3. An Evolution-X Cone : It is a little longer than the atomizer, metal, hollow, cone sha ed and is

the only iece that can screw into the outer threads of an Evolution-X battery.

4. A 510 Cartridge : It is lastic, about an inch long and has a fibrous material inside of it.

Assembling a Standard Evolution-X Starter Kit is quite easy. Here's all you need to do:

1. Screw the Evolution-X battery onto the 510 atomizer. DO NOT SCREW THE TWO PIECES

TOGETHER TOO TIGHTLY; sto when there is any resistance. Screwing a 510 atomizer onto

an Evolution-X battery too tightly could force the ost of the battery down into the battery

where it will no longer be able to make ro er contact with the atomizer or the battery charger.

2. Unwra one of the five cartridges that came with your Evolution-X Starter Kit. All of our

Standard Evolution-X Starter Kits come with unfilled cartridges and a bottle of e-liquid that you

use to fill the cartridges. Please see the section, below, about how to fill your Evolution-X e-

cigarette cartridges. Once you have filled your cartridge, sim ly ush it onto the o en end of the

atomizer (the other end should already be screwed onto the battery).

3. Slide the Evolution-X cone over the cartridge and atomizer, big side down (the side with the

screw threads toward the battery). Screw the cone cover onto the outer threads of your

Evolution-X battery.

Note: an Evolution-X cone is sim ly a cosmetic iece that gives an Evolution-X a ta ered

a earance; it serves no function. Some eo le do not use the cone at all!

Your Standard Evolution-X is now assembled and ready for use!

Mega Evolution-X Starter Kits

Mega Evolution-X electronic cigarettes have three ieces:

1. An Evolution-X Battery : It is the longest iece and has a button on it.

2. A Mega Atomizer : It is cone-sha ed, metal, a roximately 1½ inches long and is the only iece

that screw onto an Evolution-X battery.

3. A Mega Cartridge : It is lastic, about 1½ inches long, has a wide flat mouth iece and fibrous

material inside of it.

Assembling a Mega Evolution-X Starter Kit is even easier. Here's how you do it:

1. Screw the Evolution-X battery onto the Mega atomizer. DO NOT SCREW THE TWO PIECES

TOGETHER TOO TIGHTLY; sto when there is any resistance. Screwing a Mega atomizer

onto an Evolution-X battery too tightly could force the ost of the battery down into the battery

where it will no longer be able to make ro er contact with the atomizer or the battery charger.

2. Unwra one of the five Mega cartridges that came with your Evolution-X Starter Kit. All of our

Mega Evolution-X Starter Kits come with unfilled cartridges and a bottle of e-liquid that you

use to fill the cartridges. Please see the section, below, about how to fill your Evolution-X e-

cigarette cartridges. Once you have filled your cartridge, sim ly ush it onto the o en end of the

cone (the other end should already be screwed onto the battery).

Your Mega Evolution-X is now assembled and ready for use!

Evolution-X ype-C Starter Kits

Evolution-X Ty e-C electronic cigarettes have five ieces:

1. An Evolution-X Battery : It is the longest iece and has a button on it.

2. A Ty e-C Atomizer Head : It is metal, silver, a roximately ⅜ of an inch long, and is ointy on

one side with a flat cylindrical sha e on the other end.

3. A Ty e-C Cone : This is meta,l cone-sha ed, hollow and a roximately 1½ inches long. When

you first get your Evolution-X Ty e-C Starter Kit, the silver Ada ter Ring will be screwed onto

the bottom threads of the Ty e-C cone.

4. A Ty e-C Atomizer Ada ter Sleeve : This is a silver, metal iece that had screw threads on both

ends. When you first get your Evolution-X Ty e-C Starter Kit, the silver Ada ter Ring will be

screwed onto the bottom threads of the Ty e-C cone.

5. A Ty e-C Tank Cartridge : It is lastic, relatively clear in color, about 1½ inches long and has a

wide flat mouth iece.

Assembling an Evolution-X Ty e-C Starter Kit isn't all too difficult once you know how all of the arts

fit together. Here's how it's done:

1. When you receive your Evolution-X Ty e-C Starter Kit, the silver atomizer sleeve is already

screwed onto the cone. Unscrew the silver ada ter sleeve off of the bottom of the cone.

2. Screw the silver ada ter sleeve onto your your Evolution-X battery. There's only one way these

two arts can screw together (you'll figure it out).

3. Remove one of the Ty e-C atomizer heads from its hermetically sealed ackage and lace the

flat side of the atomizer head into the silver ada ter sleeve, on to of your Evolution-X battery.

It should seat erfectly in the center with the ointy side of the atomizer head sticking u .

4. Place the widest art of the Ty e-C cone over the atomizer head and screw it onto the silver

ada ter sleeve. This will lock the atomizer head into lace.

5. Unwra one of the three Ty e-C tank cartridges that came with your Evolution-X Starter Kit.

All of our Evolution-X Ty e-C Starter Kits come with unfilled cartridges and a bottle of e-

liquid that you us to fill the tank cartridges. Please see the section, below, about how to fill your

Evolution-X e-cigarette cartridges. Once you have filled your cartridge, sim ly ush it onto the

o en end of the cone (the other end should already be screwed onto the battery).

IMPOR AN : You should always take five drags from your e-cigarette without ressing the button

when using a new Ty e-C atomizer head in order to rime it. After taking the five "dry" uffs, you can

ress the button and use your e-cigarette.

Your Evolution-X Ty e-C is now assembled and ready for use!

Filling Your Evolution-X Cartridges with E-Liquid

E-Liquid (also commonly referred to as "e-juice" or "liquid nicotine") is what creates the va or that

you inhale. When you receive any of our Evolution-X starter kits, there is no e-liquid in any of the

cartridges, regardless of the ty e of starter kit that you urchased. This is because we think everyone

should be able to select whatever flavor and nicotine strength that they like, so all of our kits come with

a bottle of e-liquid that you will use to fill your cartridges with. The way you fill a cartridge is a little

bit different, de ending on the ty e of Evolution-X Starter Kit that you urchased.

Filling a Standard Evolution-X Cartridge with E-Liquid

1. Remove the Evolution-X 510 cartridge from the ackage and also remove the rotective

rubber ca that is on the "gauzy" side of the cartridge. Throw the rubber ca away.

2. Dri e-liquid from your bottle one dro at a time onto the filler material until it begins to

look like a slushy. Ty ically, this is at least 15 dro s with a brand new 510 cartridge.

3. Push the side that you just filled onto the o en end of the 510 atomizer. The side of the

510 cartridge with the very small inhole is the side you inhale through.

Filling a Mega Evolution-X Cartridge with E-Liquid

1. Remove the Evolution-X Mega cartridge from the ackage and also remove the

rotective rubber ca that is on the "gauzy" side of the cartridge. Throw the rubber ca

away.

2. Dri e-liquid from your bottle one dro at a time onto the filler material until it begins to

look like a slushy. Ty ically, this is about 40 dro s with a brand new Mega cartridge.

3. Push the side that you just filled onto the o en end of the Mega atomizer. The flat ti ed

side of the Mega cartridge is the side you inhale through.

* IP For Users of Evolution-X Standard or Mega Cartridges: A new Standard or Mega Evolution-

X cartridge frequently won't so u as much e-liquid as it can really hold. To get as much liquid as you

can into an Evolution-X standard or Mega cartridge, add dro s until it starts to ool. Next, attach the

cartridge to your Evolution-X e-cigarette and, holding the battery end in your hand with the cartridge

facing toward the floor, shake the e-cigarette several times downward, like you are shaking the mercury

down in a thermometer. This will force the e-liquid down in the mouth iece. Then, ull the cartridge

off of the Evolution-X and it should hold a few more dro s. Please kee in mind that you can do this

too much or too hard. If you notice that you are getting e-liquid in your mouth, you may have shaken

the juice too far down into your cartridge, ast the filler material or you may have overfilled it.

opping Off an Evolution-X Standard or Mega Cartridge

You will need to frequently "to off" your Evolution-X e-cig cartridge when it starts drying out and not

roducing as much va or (or when it starts to taste more like an old rag). De ending on how large a

drag you take, how frequently you will have to do this varies with each individual, but ty ically, it's

about every 25 drags or so.

1. Remove the Cartridge from the atomizer.

2. Add 3 to 4 dro s or as many as it takes to make it look like a slushy.

3. Push the cartridge back onto your Evolution-X atomizer.

he hree Rules of a Perfectly Filled Standard or Mega Cartridge

There are only three things you need to kee in mind when filling your Evolution-X e-cigarette

cartridges, whether they are brand new cartridges or you are to ing one off:

1. If it looks like a iece of gauze inside, it needs more e-juice.

2. If it looks like a little ond, it has at least one dro too many (not a big deal).

3. If it looks like a slushy, it is erfectly filled!

Filling an ype-C ank Cartridge with E-Liquid

There's nothing too com licated about using an Evolution-X Ty e-C Tank Cartridges. They are a bit

different from standard 510 or Mega cartridges, though. Since you can va e every last dro of e-liquid

before needing to refill your Ty e-C Tank Cartridge, there is no difference between filling a brand new

Ty e-C Tank Cartridge and refilling one. How you fill them de ends on the ty e of ti that your e-

liquid bottle has.

Filling an Evolution-X ype-C ank Cartridge with a Needle ip Bottle

If you have an e-liquid bottle with a thin, needle ti , you don't have to remove the tank cartridge's ca

at all. Sim ly insert your bottle ti into the hole in the ca , fill the cartridge almost all the way to the

to (for an Ty e-C atomizer head to function ro erly, it is im ortant that you leave a little bit of an air

ocket) and ush the ca end down onto your Ty e-C atomizer cone.

Filling an Evolution-X ype-C ank Cartridge with a Standard ip Bottle

If your bottle of liquid has a standard ti , you will not be able to insert it into the hole in the ca , so you

will have to remove the ca . Sim ly hook a fingernail or thumbnail in the seam between the ca and

the main tube art of the cartridge and o the ca off. Fill the Ty e-C tank cartridges almost all the

way (leave a little bit of an air ocket) and sna the ca back on. Then, ush it onto your Ty e-C cone,

ca side toward the cone, and you are good to go!

What are the Soft Caps For?

All of the Ty e-C tank cartridges are ackaged with a hard ca attached, but we also include a acket

with three soft ca s. Many eo le claim that the soft ca s seal better, although we have not found that

to necessarily be the case. The soft ca s are definitely easier to remove and re-attach to the tank

cartridges, though. Unfortunately, they also tear quite easily, so you should not only be very careful as

you remove and re-attach them, but you should robably hold onto your hard ca s, just in case you tear

all of the soft ca s!

Using Your Evolution-X E-Cig

All of our Evolution-X e-cigs come with manual, ush button batteries. When you ush the button, it

su lies ower to the atomizer (the "heating element" art of your e-cigarette). As long as you ush the

button, the atomizer coil will be activated and rovide enough heat to va orize the e-liquid in the

cartridge. When you let go of the button, the va or will no longer be generated.

Please kee in mind that you can hold the button down for too long. If you hold the button for longer

than 5-7 seconds, an automatic cutoff will occur that is built into every Evolution-X battery's circuit

board to revent you from burning u your atomizers and overburdening your batteries. When this

ha ens, the battery will flash several times and sto working tem orarily. If you release the button and

ress it again, the battery will start owering the atomizer again.

When using your Evolution-X electronic cigarette, it should always be held at a slight angle, with the

battery side tilting toward the floor. If the battery end is higher than the mouth iece side, it is quite

ossible that you will get e-juice in your mouth. This is nothing more than the rocess of gravity!

Since all eo le smoke cigarettes differently, it only stands to reason that different eo le will use their

e-cigarette in different ways. The method we have found that gives the maximum amount of va or for

the majority of eo le is to draw as lightly as you can on your Evolution-X while ressing the button.

This ermits the airflow to have the maximum amount of time heating the liquid. If you inhale too

hard, the air rushes ast the liquid in the cartridge faster than it can heat it, causing very little va or to

be roduced.

In no time at all, you will be accustomed to the amount of suction (for lack of a better term) that will

roduce the most va or for you!

IMPOR AN : You should always take five drags from your e-cigarette without ressing the button

when using a new Ty e-C atomizer head in order to rime it. After taking the five "dry" uffs, you can

ress the button and use your e-cigarette.
