ExoSlide Ender 3 Bedienungsanleitung
0. Prep and Parts Removal
-Remove the top 2020 frame bar, set aside for later.
-Unplug the wire harness for the hotend and extruder.
-Loosen the Z motor coupling, and slide the entire carriage assembly up and off the top.
-Remove the Z motor mount, set aside the Z motor and mount for later.
-Remove the X motor, X end-stop, idler bracket, extruder motor, and extruder; save all for later.
-Remove the hotend and fan shroud, and save for later.
1. ExoSlide Bearing Preload

A. Start with the bearing preload screw head (M3) not touching the slide face.
B. Fit one end of the slide with only those treads contacting the rail, and adjust the appropriate preload screw.
C. Repeat the above step until you achieve a low contact force, with a slight drag on the slide as it is pulled
upwards off the rail.
Note: Set the preload on each ExoSlide specific to each rail, just prior to installation.

3. ExoSlide X Carriage Assembly
Parts Needed:
ExoSlide 20P, 4x
Hotend Bracket, 1x
Belt X Bracket, 1x
M4x12 bolt, 4x
M4x40 bolt, 8x
Notes:
-Orient the front ExoSlide with the logo on the left side if using the stock Creality hotend.
-Orient the front ExoSlide with the logo on the right side if using the MicroSwiss DD extruder (Ender 5 version)
4. X Rail and Z Belt Brackets
Parts Needed:
ExoSlide X Carriage Assembly, 1x
Metal side bracket, 1x
Printed side bracket, 1x
ExoBracket 20, 2x
Extrusion 2020, 1x
M4x12, 2x
M4x20, 4x

Note:
-Viewed from the back of the machine, left ExoSlide 40S logo facing up, right ExoSlide 40S logo facing down.
-These parts are not needed if you already have our ExoSlide XZ kit. One ExoSlide 40S may need to be
purchased for early kits as they originally only came with one.
5. Gearbox
Parts Needed:
ExoSlide wormdrive gearbox, 1x
Motor bracket, 1x
M3x35 bolt, 3x
M3 washer, 3x
M5x8 bolt, 2x
M5 T-nut, 2x
Notes:
-Assemble the gearbox + motor + bracket in the orientation shown with the motor’s electrical connector facing
the slotted holes in the motor bracket.
-Mount using the two slots closest the gearbox, with the bolt threads against the gearbox side of the slots.
-Align the pulley teeth to the center of the upright extrusion profile.
6. Idler Brackets
Parts Needed:
Idler bracket assemblies, 3x
M5x8 bolt, 6x
M5 T-nut, 6x

Notes:
-Leave the bottom right idler bracket loose, it will be used in a later step to adjust the tension on the belt.
7. Belt Z
Parts Needed:
GT2 belt, 1x
ExoSlide GT2 belt clips, 2x
Notes:
-Start with the nozzle touching in the middle of the bed.
-Run the belt in the numbered direction.
-Fasten the other belt clip end and insert into the metal bracket.
-Adjust the belt tension with the lower right idler bracket.
-Adjust the X level by finding the closest teeth on the printed bracket, then fine-tune with the M4 bolt.
8. Idler Bracket Assembly
Parts Needed:
Idler bracket, 1x
M5x8 bolt, 2x
M5 T nut, 2x
M8 jam nut, 1x
M8 washer, 1x
9. X Motor Bracket Assembly
Parts Needed:
Motor bracket, 1x
M3x6 bolt, 3x
M5x8 bolt, 2x
M5 T nut, 2x
Re-use:
Motor, pulley
Note:
-Orient the motor connector downward
10. End-Stop Assembly
Parts Needed:
Printed end-stop bracket, 1x
M5x8 bolt, 2x
M5 T nut, 2x
Re-use:
End-stop, M3x6 bolts
Used with ExoSlide Y kit Used with stock Y V wheels
Note:
-Use the shorter end-stop printed part when only installing the ExoSlide XZ kit (and not the ExoSlide Y kit as well)
11. Extruder Bracket Assembly
Parts Needed:
Printed extruder bracket, 1x
M4x14 bolt, 2x
Re-use:
Motor, extruder
12. Idler, X Belt, End-stop, Extruder Mounting
Parts Needed:
Idler Bracket Assembly, 1x
End-stop assembly, 1x
Extruder assembly, 1x
Belt X, 1x
GT2 Belt Clips, 2x
Note:
-Install idler on right side, Install belt and tension.
