1. INTENDED USE
BRAVA heating and cooling units are intended for use in compartments requiring application of
devices with an aesthetic and innovative appearance, such as:
»shopping centres,
»discos,
»showrooms,
»churches,
»sports and entertainment halls,
»car showrooms,
»as well as locations, where conventional heating units are used, i.e. in warehouses, production
premises, workshops, greenhouses, etc.
The units cannot be used in the compartments with humidity exceeding 90% and air
dustiness of more than 3 mg/m3.
The units are intended for use in compartments with the height not exceeding 5m.
The premises can be served by one unit or more.
2. DESIGNATIONS
HEATING AND COOLING UNIT BRAVA-II
Number of exchanger rows I; II
Optional automatic equipment set:
»1 unit: AB1-BRAVA
The unit, intended for heating function only, is delivered with I or II row heat exchanger. Optional
cooling function is available only with II row heat exchanger.
3. DEVICE DESCRIPTION
The unit comprises:
»highly-efcient axial fan (~ 700 rpm);
The units can have fans tted with electronically commutated motors.
»ring n single- or double-row heat exchanger.
Connections on units have female threads.
Fin heaters can be supplied with heating medium with the temperature of up to 150OC
and the pressure of up to 1.5MPa.
There is a risk of freezing the heating medium in the heater in rooms with temperature
below 0OC.
This risk can be reduced by using non-freezing heating or cooling media.
»housing made in high-quality plastic, with ve-way air diffuser. The diffuser design provides
protection against self-acting displacement of the blades.

5. TRANSPORT
BRAVA units are delivered completely covered in polyethylene lm to provide protection against
contamination and weather.
The unit is delivered with the Product Booklet (instruction manual).
The units should be transported on one level with spacers so as to prevent any
mechanical damages.

6. SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS
The units have been designed and manufactured with application of solutions for
minimizing hazards to people and property. This does not eliminate all possible hazards,
though.
Therefore heating and cooling units should be used only in accordance with the
Instruction Manual
Commissioning, installation, connection, inspection and repair works on the units
should be performed by an authorised technician, and electrical works by a person
holding the required qualications.
All maintenance and repair works should be carried out with voltage off.
In the case of the unit failure immediately turn the motor electrical power supply off and
cut the heating medium supply off.
The unit can only work with properly operating electrical protection devices. It must be
uninterruptedly connected to the electrical installation tted with protection terminal
(earthing), residual-current device and service switch.
Use original spare parts only
Do not operate the unit, if the fan has no protective meshing on.
Important note!
Any installation or use of the heating and cooling unit not in accordance with the instruction
manual may cause the unit damage and voids the warranty.
Due to its design, the device does not emit any hazardous radiation.
Despite the fact that the device has been designed and manufactured in accordance with the
standards valid as for the moment of the manufacture start, likeliness of injury and damage to health
when using the device is unavoidable. This likeliness is related to frequency of using, cleaning and
repairing the device, presence of persons within the danger area, and not respecting the safety rules
as set out in the instruction.
Severity of the bodily injury and deterioration of health is dependent on numerous conditions which
can be foreseen partially only by considering them when designing the device and by providing
descriptions and warnings in the instruction manual.
Therefore residual risk is present if recommendations and instructions are not respected by the
operator.

7. INSTALLATION
Suspending the unit
The units are suspended on the ceiling using 4 rods with M8 thread. Spacing of fastening rods is
provided in the gure.
Rods should be screwed into rivet nuts of the unit for the depth of min 15 mm (rods can be
screwed for the max depth of ~25 mm).
When the unit needs to be suspended on a partition, e.g. of metal sheet, use stiffening
sections to avoid partition vibrations due to the unit operation, and prevent increase of
the noise in the compartment.
Minimum distance of the heating and cooling unit from the ceiling is 20 cm.

8. WATER SYSTEM
The units are expected to be supplied with a double-pipe system, e.g. cold water in the summer or
hot water in the heating season.
It recommended to use cut-off valves before and after the unit in order to enable its removal without
having to empty the supply system.
Electromagnetic valves can be connected on the heating medium supply.
Heat exchangers of the units are to be de-aerated centrally within the installation.
When operating the unit with use of the cooling function, in the lower part of the unit condensate
drips, and thus needs to be drained to the sewage by gravitation or using the condensate pump.
Therefore, use a connection in the housing, where hose for condensate drainage can be connected.
Improper venting of heating coil can result in failure to achieve the desired parameters
by the unit.
Avoid resting the installation ducts on the heating coil connections.
When connecting the heating coil to heat distribution network, protect the coil connections against
over-rotating as shown in the gure.
Damages to heating coil resulting from the above, are not covered by the warranty.

9. WIRING SYSTEM
Electrical installation and connection of the power supply to the unit must be carried out in
accordance with relevant construction standards and regulations.
Electrical connections to the unit can only be carried out by an authorized electrician
familiar with the instruction manual.
Before connecting make sure that the voltage and frequency rating of the power supply
and protection ratings are in accordance with the information given on the unit’s data
plate. Otherwise, do not connect the unit.
The unit’s user shall be responsible for electromagnetic compatibility of the whole
system to the applicable local regulations.
When operating on conductive elements or electrical wires, the operator always must be
accompanied by other person, who would cut the supply off in case of emergency.
Electrical equipment should be inspected on regular basis: x loosen connections,
replace damaged wires and cables immediately.
The units are tted with 1-phase fans (1~230V/50Hz) with internal thermal contacts Tk (lead out to
the box or permanently connected to the motor circuit). The electrical connection of the fan should
be carried out taking into account the service switch (WS), as well as the overload and short-circuit
protection inside the power supply/control box.
Failure to provide required motor protections and connect the Tk thermal contact within
the control circuit will render the warranty void.
Insert the power cord of the fan into the terminal box and x it on protective grate or supports of
the fan with cable ties. The fan thermal contact should be connected to the control circuit for the
fan supply.
Electrical connection of the motor must be in accordance with electrical diagrams provided in the
terminal box.
Example wiring and control diagrams for the units are given in gs. 1 to 3.
