Product features
The surface-mounted video home station 7 from the
Gira door communication system is a fully pre-
assembled unit with a 17.78 cm (7") colour TFT
display and convenient speakerphone function. It is
operated using the touch-screen and the five
capacitive operating buttons. Operation only
requires a light touching of the symbols. When a
button is pressed correctly, a deactivatable
confirmation tone sounds or the user can also select
tactile feedback (vibration) for this.

When using an additional power supply
If there is an incoming call (audio, video, internal
call), flashes for 2 min and the home screen
opens automatically. " ...call accept" is displayed
in the menu bar and the type of the call is shown in
the status bar above the screen ("Door call" or
"Internal call").
If the call originates from a video door station, the
camera image is also visible. If there are several
cameras in the system, the name of the displaying
camera is shown (for renaming cameras see
page 21). In this document, the door call video is
described in the following.
For power supply via BUS.
The screen remains dark if an incoming internal call
is received.
Maximum conversation duration
The maximum call duration is 2 minutes. The call
is automatically terminated when 2 minutes
have elapsed.

Accepting door call
Accept the call either via " Door call accept" in the
menu bar or directly via , and start the voice
communication.
Setting the speaker volume
Select "Settings access" and "Voice volume change"
in the menu bar during voice communication. The
voice volume can be changed in seven stages using
the slider. The volume is saved automatically.

(Only possible if enabled by the installer)
Saving images manually
If a door call is accepted, images can be saved
manually during the call.
For this, press " Image capture" in the menu bar.
Please note the data privacy notice on page 23.
Saving images automatically
If the door call is not accepted within 2 mins, images
can be saved automatically (see also “Image memory
settings” on page 23).
A green flashing then indicates that new images
are available in the image memory.

Enforcement function
Use the enforcement function as soon as the
background noise at the door station prevents the
person at the front door from hearing you.
1. Keep or pressed during the conversation.
The message "Override function activated"
appears above the camera image.
While the button is pressed, it is only possible to
speak from the surface-mounted video home
station 7 to the door station.
2. Let go of or again to end the enforcement
function.
Ending door call
is lit up during the voice communication.
The door call can be ended either via " Door
conversation end" in the menu bar, or by pressing

After ending the door call, goes out.

Resuming a door call
After ending the door call, the conversation can be
restarted within 4 s with " Door conversation
resume" in the menu bar or directly by pressing .
The camera switches on again as well.
Switching ring tone off and back on
1. Press briefly.
lights up red continuously: The ring tone is
permanently switched off.
2. Press again briefly: The ring tone is switched
on again.
Switch the ring tone off only when needed
Switch off the ring tone only in exceptional cases.
Otherwise there is a risk of you not being able to
hear the ring tone, e.g. in emergencies.
