Dear customer
Thank you for having chosen a HÆGER product.
The HÆGER products have been produced to think about the welfare of the consumer
privileging the most raised standards of quality, functionality and assign. We are sure
you will be happy with this appliance.
We assume that the user is familiar with the common procedures of handling
household appliances.
In order to ensure the scale continues to deliver peak performance, please read these
operation instructions carefully and thoroughly prior to initial usage.
General Information
Your scale is a precision electronic instrument. Treat your scale with care. Do not
drop it or jump on it. The scale is durable, but misuse or abuse may render the
electronic sensors inoperable.
1. Read all instructions before operating the scale.
2. Follow the basic safety precautions for all office equipment when using this
scale.
3. The manufacturer does not warrant this unit to be waterproof. Do not expose
this product to rain or moisture.
4. Do not use the scale under sun or keep it away from heating appliances such as
oven, stove, etc.
5. This scale does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not disassemble.
6. Use the scale for its intended purpose only.
Note: The display value may be affected by electromagnetic influences, e.g. when a
radio is operated in the immediate vicinity of the device. The product can be used for
its intended purpose again when the interference is discontinued, but may need to be
switched on again to re-start.
Battery Installation
1. Turn the entire scale upside down and reset it securely on a firm, flat surface.
2. Remove the battery door.
3. Install one CR-2032 lithium battery in the battery compartment, ensuring that
the positive side faces upward.
4. Close the battery door.

Battery Status
When the low battery symbol appears on the LCD screen, it indicates that the battery
is low. Open the battery compartment and replace the old batteries with new
ones.
Used batteries must not be disposed of as household waste. Do not incinerate
batteries because they might explode at high temperature. Contact your local
authority for information concerning reclamation and disposal of batteries.
When replacing batteries, always use brand new battery of the same type.
Operation
The balance was designed to indicate precisely the increase in or the loss of weight.
1. Position the balance on a hard, flat surface (avoid carpets). Uneven floors lead
to imprecise readings.
2. Switch on the scales by pressing lightly with your foot or toes on the glass
surface.
3. Step on the balance. Distribute your weight equally on the balance and wait for
the balance to calculate your weight.
4. Your correct weight will then be displayed in the following:
5. When you have got down from the scales they switch off automatically after 10
seconds in order to prolong battery life.
Selecting weight unit
Turn the scale on by pressing on glass surface. Before the display switch off slide the
switch to select kg, lb or st.
Overload
1. When the loading capacity exceeds the maximum capacity of the Digital Scale,
the letters will be displayed on the LCD screen.
2. Remove the item(s) from the scale platform to avoid damage to the scale.
Usage tips
The scales are designed for a maximum weight of 150 kg (330 lb., 24 St).

Weigh yourself without any clothes or shoes on before meals and always at the
same hour of the day. The best time to weigh yourself is when you wake up in
the morning.
The balance rounds off weight to the closest 100 g.
If you weigh yourself twice and two different values are given, it means that
your weight is comprised between both values.
Cleaning
Do not immerse the balance in water: the electronic components can be
damaged.
Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
Clean the device with a slightly moist cloth. Make sure that no humidity or
waters seeps into the device!
Use a commercially sold detergent or soap for cleaning.
Dry the device well after cleaning with a dry and soft cloth.

Environment
Please consider our environment
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste. This
product is subject to the European guideline 2012/19/EU.
Dispose of the appliance through an approved disposal centre or at your community
waste facility. Observe the currently applicable regulations. In case of doubt, please
contact your waste disposal centre.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally responsible manner.
When you wish to dispose of the appliance, remove the battery and dispose it in an
environmentally friendly way (e.g. recycling plant).
Guarantee
This unit is covered by a 24 months (*) warranty, from the purchase date, and covers
the repair free of charges of the damaged due to the manufacturer fault or defected
components. The distributor reserves the right to change the unit for an equivalent
model.
The warranty does not cover any damaged caused by incorrect use, lightning,
incorrect installation, external factors or any intentional damaged. The warranty does
not cover damage thus attributable to falls, blows, spill, exposure to extreme
environmental conditions or deterioration caused by normal use of plastic parts or
keyboards, as well as by the use of batteries other than those specified in this manual.
For the repairing, during the warranty period, the unit shall be sent to the distributor
or reseller, or to the address indicated by them, and must be jointed the warranty
certificated and the respective original invoice or selling ticket, where the buying date
is expressed indicated.
The consumer is protected by the guarantee provided by Directive 1999/44/CE of
European Parliament and Council of 25 May.

Nota: O valor indicado no visor pode ser afectado por influências electromagnéticas,
por exemplo, quando um rádio é operado na vizinhança imediata do dispositivo. O
produto pode ser utilizado para a sua finalidade pretendida novamente quando a
interferência é eliminada, mas necessita de ser desligada e reiniciada de novo.
Instalação das pilhas
1. Vire a balança de cabeça para baixo e coloque-a com segurança em uma
superfície firme e plana.
2. Remova a tampa da bateria.
3. Coloque uma pilha CR-2032 de lítio no compartimento das pilhas, garantindo
que o lado positivo fique para cima.
4. Feche a tampa da pilha.

Estado das pilhas
Se o símbolo de bateria fraca aparecer no ecrã LCD, indica que as pilhas
estão fracas. Abra o compartimento da bateria e troque as pilhas velhas por
novas.
As pilhas usadas não devem ser eliminadas como lixo doméstico. Não queime as
pilhas porque podem explodir a temperatura elevadas. Contacte as autoridades
locais para obter informações sobre recuperação e eliminação de pilhas.
Ao substituir as pilhas, utilize sempre pilhas novas do mesmo tipo.
Utilização
A balança foi concebida para indicar o aumento exacto ou a diminuição exacta de
peso.
1. Colocar a balança sobre uma superfície dura e plana (evitar alcatifas). Uma
superfície irregular provocará imprecisões.
2. Ligue a balança, pressionando levemente a superfície de vidro com o pé ou a
ponta do mesmo.
3. Subir para a balança, distribuindo o peso regularmente e esperar até a balança
calcular o peso.
4. O seu peso correcto será então visualizado da seguinte forma.
5. Quando descer da balança, esta desligar-se-á automaticamente após cerca de
10 segundos, poupando assim a pilha.
Seleccionar a unidade de peso
Ligue a balança pressionando a superfície de vidro. Antes de o visor se apagar. Deslize
o comutador para seleccionar kg, lb ou st.
Sobrecarga
1. Quando a capacidade de carga excede a capacidade máxima da balança digital,
a mensagem será apresentada no visor LCD.
2. Remove o item (s) da plataforma para evitar danos à balança.

É conveniente pesar-se sem vestuário e sem sapatos antes de ter comido e
sempre às mesmas horas. A hora ideal é depois do despertar.
A balança arredonda o peso, por excesso ou por defeito, até ao valor de 100 g
seguinte.
Se se pesar duas vezes seguidas e se obtiver dois valores diferentes, então o seu
peso estará entre os dois valores.
Limpeza
Não mergulhe a balança em água, pois o sistema electrónico poderá ser
destruído.
Não utilize uma escova de arame ou outros objectos abrasivos.
Não utilize produtos de limpeza agressivos ou abrasivos.
Limpar o aparelho com um pano ligeiramente húmido, não molhado. Tomar
cuidado para que não entrem nem humidade nem líquidos no aparelho!
Poderá utilizar-se um detergente suave, como o que se usa para lavar a louça.
Enxuga seguidamente o aparelho muito bem, usando um pano seco e macio.

entidades de eliminação locais.
Preste atenção às prescrições actuais válidas. Em caso de dúvida entre em contacto

Elimine todos os materiais de embalagem de forma ecológica.
Quando for se desfazer do aparelho, remova a pilha e elimina-la de uma forma
ambientalmente amigável (por exemplo, centro de reciclagem).
Garantia
O importador garante este produto por um período de 24 meses (*) a partir da data
de compra, e cobre a reparação sem encargos com mão-de-obra e materiais, avarias
devidas a defeitos de fabricação ou componentes defeituosos, reservando-se o
responsável pela garantia, segundo o seu próprio critério, o direito de substituição
por aparelho igual ou equivalente.
A garantia não cobre as avarias provocadas por uso indevido, instalação incorrecta,
descargas eléctricas, dano intencional do aparelho ou por causas estranhas ao
mesmo. A garantia não cobre assim danos atribuíveis a quedas, pancadas, derrame de
líquidos, exposição a condições extremas do meio ambiente ou deterioração
provocada pelo uso normal das partes plásticas ou teclados, bem como pelo uso de
baterias diferentes das especificadas neste manual.
Se o aparelho avariar durante o período da garantia, deverá entrar em contacto com
o estabelecimento vendedor e remeter o aparelho para o local por este indicado,
fazendo-o acompanhar do certificado de garantia e respectiva prova de compra.
O consumidor goza de todas as garantias previstas na Directiva 1999/44/CE do
Parlamento Europeu e do Conselho, de 25 de Maio.
