1. About this instruction manual
Read these instructions for installation and use carefully and keep them within
reach of the device. This ensures that you can refer to information on safety and
operation at any time.

an activity indicates that this activity poses a risk. Always observe the warning
notices. This prevents damage to property and injuries, which in the worst case

2. Important information for your safety
The remote start system has been produced in accordance with the
applicable safety rules and regulations. However, hazards may arise
during use. Therefore adhere to the following safety information and
thespecicwarningnoticesintheindividualchapters.
2.1. Intended use
The remote start system allows the remote start feature of a sauna
control unit or steamgenerator to be activated using devices such
as a smartphone, tablet, Alexa, Google Home etc.
The remote start system may only be used for activating a sauna
heater that passes the combustion test described in paragraph 19.101
of EN 60335-2-53. Alternatively, a corresponding safety shutdown
device must be installed in the heater and/or a door contact switch.
Any use exceeding this scope is considered improper use. Improper
use can result in damage to the product, severe injuries or death.

2.2. Safety information
●Installationmayonlybeperformedbyaqualiedelectricianor
similarlyqualiedperson.
●Installation and connection of the control unit may only be per-
formed when the power supply is disconnected.
●Also comply with the regulations applicable at the installation
location.
●The device must not be used by children under 8 years of age.
●The device may only be used by children over 8 years of age,
by persons with limited psychological, sensory or mental capa-
bilities or by persons with lack of experience/knowledge under
the following conditions:
– They are supervised.
– They have been shown how to use the device safely and
are aware of the hazards that could occur.
● Makesurethatnoammableobjectshavebeenplacedonthe
sauna heater before the sauna control unit is switched on.
●Forhealthreasons,donotusethesaunawhenundertheinuence
of alcohol, medication or drugs.
●For your own safety, consult your supplier in the event of prob-
lemsthatarenotexplainedinsucientdetailintheinstallation
instructions.

3.3. Product features
The remote start system allows the remote start feature of a sauna control unit
or steamgenerator to be activated using devices such as a smartphone, tablet,
Alexa, Google Home etc.
Compatible control units:
● SaunacontrolunitsXenio,Xar,Pro-Serieundhome.com4
●Steamgenerator SGH and HGD
An app is used for operation, which is available free of charge for Android
(Google Play Store) and for IOS (App Store).
4. Installation
During installation observe the technical data on Page 15:

●The ambient temperature must be within
a range spanning -40 °C to +40 °C.
●The cables must be temperature-
resistant up to 150 °C if they are
routed in the cabin wall (extend power
supply using silicone cable)

5. Connection diagram
Observe the following points when connecting the power to the sauna control unit:
●Connection work may only be performed when the power has been discon-
nected.
●Observe the assembly instructions for the respective control unit
black – K1, ST1 ...........
brown – L1, L3, L2 .......
grey – N .......................
red – S, X14 (remote start)
red – B, X15 (remote start)
Remove the pre-assembled cable lugs depending on the controller
used.
With 4and 5:
●Polarity not relevant

Damage to the unit!
The installation of the APP and the settings (see “6. Commissioning” and
“7. Operation”) must be completed before the sauna controller is switched on.

●When connecting the safety shutdown / door sensor, observe the instruc-
tions for the respective device
