Hope you enjoy your new Hoover
induction cooktop!
Using the Cooktop
• Touch the power button to switch on the cooktop (Fig. 3a).
• Place a suitable pan on the cooking zone you want to use
(Fig. 3b). The pan and cooking zone diameters should match.
Make sure the bottom of the pan and the surface of the
cooking zone are clean and dry.
• Select a heat setting (from 1-9) by turning the knob (Fig.
3c) for the cooking zone you want to use. The heat indicator
for the corresponding hob will illuminate. You must select
a heat level within one minute, otherwise the cooktop will
automatically switch off.
• NOTE: The selected heat level applies if you are only using one
hob. Because this appliance is power limited to 2.4 kW, if you
are using multiple hobs, the heat level will be affected. Please
see the table on page 22 of the instruction manual for more
information.
• When you have finished cooking, turn the cooking zone off by turning the knob back to the OFF position.
• Turn the whole cooktop off by touching the power button.
NOTE: Residual heat warning
• After a cooking zone is switched off, the indicator(s) [ ] above the residual heat symbol [
]
(Fig. 3d) indicate that the temperature of the corresponding zone is still high enough to cause injury. It
will disappear when the surface has cooled down to a safe temperature.
• The residual heat indicator can also be used as an energy saving function, for keeping food warm on a
cooking zone that is still hot.
