6 Conventions used in this guide

Safety precautions:

a) Use a wireless hands-free system (headphone, headset) with a low power

Bluetooth emitter.

b) Make sure the cell phone has a low SAR.

c) Keep your calls short or send a text message (SMS) instead. This advice

applies especially to children, adolescents and pregnant women.

d) Use cell-phone when the signal quality is good.

e) People having active medical implants should preferably keep the cell

phone at least 15 cm away from the implant.

Back cover

Removing the back cover

1. Securely hold HTC Desire 516c dual sim facing down.

2. With your thumb or finger, open the back cover from the small opening at the

bottom of HTC Desire 516c dual sim.

Replacing the back cover

After installing the SIM or storage card, make sure to replace the back cover properly.

1. Place HTC Desire 516c dual sim face down on a flat and smooth surface.

2. Align the top part of the back cover with the back panel of

HTC Desire 516c dual sim.

3. Gently press the back cover and then run your thumbs along the sides from the

top to the bottom.

You’ll hear clicks as the back cover locks into place.

4. Make sure that the back cover is tight and there are no gaps or bulges on any

side.

UIM and SIM cards

HTC Desire 516c dual sim has two card slots that allow you to insert a UIM card and

GSM SIM card.

Inserting the UIM and SIM cards

Inserting a smaller size UIM/SIM (such as a micro UIM/SIM with an adapter or a

modified UIM/SIM) may cause the card to not fit properly or damage the card slot.

1. Take the back cover off.

2. Insert a CDMA or dual-mode UIM card in the UIM 1 slot. Insert a GSM SIM in the

SIM 2 slot.

When inserting, make sure the gold contacts on the card are facing down.

Removing the UIM and SIM cards

Make sure to switch off HTC Desire 516c dual sim before removing the card.

1. Take the back cover off.

2. Remove the battery.

3. Slide the UIM card or SIM card out from the slots.
