Conventions used in this guide
In this user guide, we use the following symbols to indicate useful and important
information:

If you want to use a screen protector, please don't cover and block the proximity
sensor. You can purchase the dedicated screen protector for HTC J that already
has a small opening for the sensor.

Replacing the headset jack cover
The headset jack cover prevents water and contaminants from getting inside HTC J.
Replace the headset jack cover when you're not using a headset.
1. Align the bottom edge of the headset jack cover with audio jack compartment's
lower edge.
2. Press down on the top of the headset jack cover, making sure the rubber plug
goes into the hole.
3. Gently press the back of the headset jack cover to make sure it is firmly closed.

Removing the back cover
The HTC J back cover was specially designed to keep water and contaminants out.
Don't pull on the chassis frame when opening the battery cover. Make sure to
follow all the steps to prevent the chassis frame from being damaged.
Follow these instructions to remove the back cover.
1. Securely hold HTC J facing up.
2. With your thumb or finger, lift up the back cover from the small opening at the
bottom of HTC J.
