JRC JFV-700HP Bedienungsanleitung

PREFACE
PREFACE
Thank you for purchasing the JFV-700HP color fishfinder.
This unit displays schools of fish in color video mode.
●Before attempting any operations, read this instruction manual to thoroughly
understand the proper operations on the unit.
●Keep this manual carefully in a readily accessible place for future reference.
●If you encounter operating problems or the malfunction of the JFV-700HP, consult
this manual. It will provide useful instructions on troubleshooting.

In this instruction manual and on the product, alert symbol marks are provided to call
your attention to important items that, if not handled correctly, could danger yourself,
other people, and property. These symbol marks and their meanings are shown
below.
Please be fully aware of the importance of these symbol marks before reading this
manual.

Alert symbol marks
The mark alerts the user to the presence of precautions, including danger and
warning items. The pictorial in this mark depicts precautions of a more specific
type (in this example, precautions for electrical shock).

The pictorial in or near each mark depicts a more specific type of prohibited
conduct (in the left mark, the prohibition of disassembly).
The mark alerts the user to the presence of mandatory conduct or of
instructions.
The pictorial in each mark depicts a more specific type of instructions (in the left
mark, the instructions that the power cord plug be removed from the outlet).

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Dot not place containers that contain a liquid such
as water, or small metallic objects, on this unit.
If the liquid is spilled or the metallic objects enter
the unit, these substances can cause fire, electrical
shock, and/or unit trouble.
Do not disassemble or modify this unit.
Failure to observe this precaution results in fire,
electrical shock, and/or unit trouble.
Do not remove the cover of this unit.
Failure to observe this precaution will result in
electrical shock if any internal high-voltage
sections are inadvertently touched.
Do not touch the power plug cord, the prongs of
the power plug, or any switches, with wet hands.
Failure to observe this precaution results in
electrical shock.
SAFETYPRECAUTIONS
ii
WARNING

Do not damage or process the power plug cord.
If a heavy object is placed on the power plug
cord or if the cord is heated, yanked, or bent by
force, fire and/or electrical shock due to cord
damage will result.
Do not operate this unit at DC voltages other
than 12, 24, or 32 V.
Failure to observe this precaution results in fire,
electrical shock, and/or unit trouble.
If any metallic objects, water, or other foreign
substances enter this unit, first turn off the
power switch of the unit and then after
disconnecting the power plug cord, please
contact your JRC product dealer, the JRC
sales or service representative in your area, or
the Sales Department of JRC.
Continued use of the unit with the foreign
substances left inside can cause fire, electrical
shock, and/or unit trouble.
Our Sales Department, branch offices, sales or service representatives, etc.
See the end of this manual for the list of our business sites.
iii
SAFETYPRECAUTIONS
In case of abnormality such as the occurrence
of smoke, unusual smell, or unusual heat,
immediately turn off the power switch of this
unit and then after disconnecting the power
plug cord, please contact your JRC product
dealer or the JRC sales or service
representative in your area.
Continued use of abnormal JFV-700HP causes
fire and/or electrical shock.
WARNING

Consign any electrical work on this unit to your
JRC product dealer, the JRC sales or service
representative in your area, or the Sales
Department of JRC. Electrical work by persons
other than qualified service engineers is
dangerous and may cause malfunction.
Do not install this unit in places where its
screen is exposed to direct sunlight for a long
time or where the ambient temperature
oversteps the range from -10 to +55 degrees C.
Otherwise, fire and/or unit trouble may result.
Do not abruptly move this unit from a cold place
to a hot one. Condensation may cause high-
pressure leakage, resulting in trouble. If this is
the case, allow the unit to stand in the air for at
least about 30 minutes before operating it.
When installing this unit, connect the grounding
wire to the grounding terminal properly. If unit
trouble or current leakage occurs, electrical
shock may result.
Do not place this unit on an unstable table or
desk or in an inclined place. If the unit drops or
falls, personal injury may result.
Do not expose this unit to water. When
disconnecting the cable connectors from the
rear panel, be particularly careful so as to avoid
contact with water. Otherwise, electrical shock
or unit trouble may result.
SAFETYPRECAUTIONS
iv
CAUTION

Do not power on this unit when the vessel is
landed.
Failure to observe this precaution may damage
components such as the transducer.
Do not expose this unit to magnetism.
Failure to observe this precaution may disturb
the screen display colors of water depths or of
alarms, thus causing accidents.
When disconnecting the power plug cord, be
sure to disconnect its terminals properly. The
power plug cord, if yanked, may be damaged
and as a result, fire and/or electrical shock may
occur.
Do not block the ventilation holes in this unit.
Blocked holes may cause fire and/or trouble
since the heat inside cannot be released.
When this unit is not to be used for a long
period, before disconnecting the power plug
cord, turn off the power unit of the unit to
ensure safety.
Do not use organic solvents, such as thinner or
benzene, to clean the surface. These solvents
damage the coatings on the surface.
To clean the surface, remove dirt and dust and
then wipe with a clean and dry cloth.

SAFETYPRECAUTIONS
CAUTION

Strictly observe the following precautions on the operations of this unit:
●The life of the fishfinder is determined by the hours of its operation. When not using this unit
even for only a brief time, turn off the power switch to let the unit rest.
●The use of the fishfinder at a high output level means that yourself also suffers noise
interference correspondingly. It is suggested that the output level be reduced using the
power reduction unit (PDC), instead of reducing the setting of the gain control provided on
the receiving amplifier.
●For a fishfinder that can emit frequencies of two cycles or more, it is advised that a
frequency be selected with the frequency selector to minimize any noise induced to the
fishfinder.
●Long outgoing pulses deteriorate range resolution on video. If your fishfinder has a pulse
selector, select a pulse width as short as possible.
●The use of the transducer at its wider angle of orientation reduces the ultrasonic emissive
power in the necessary direction because more noise is picked up and because fish location
detection accuracy decreases. If your fishfinder has a frequency selector, select a frequency
as high as possible and use the transducer at an angle-of-orientation as narrow as possible.
●Fishing areas are common property of all people engaged in fisheries. You should refrain
from emitting ultrasonic waves in the direction that other vessels are inconvenienced.
Horizontal fishfinders, in particular, should be operated so that they do not disturb the
fishfinders of other vessels.
