GETTING STARTED - BASE MODULE
RECHARGE THE UNIT
The unit is powered with an internal li-ion baery. To recharge it, plug the
charging connector to “power” socket on the back of the unit.
The posive pole is marked on
the connector with a red dot.
POWER ON/OFF
To turn on the unit, press the upper right buon.
To turn o hold it ll the main led switch down.

BASE MODULE - CONNECT A CANON DSLR
BASE MODULE - DSLR SETTINGS
Once you took care of powering the unit, connect the USB cable you nd in the
package. One end goes to the main unit, the other end goes to the DSLR.
To check how the parameters used by the K-Circle Base Module interact with
Canon EOS camera sengs, we recommend you follow what is wrien in the
Canon EOS User Manual about sengs for video recording.
For example, for models such as the 5D MkIII, which have the “Live View/Movie
func.set.” menu opon, follow the instrucons in the camera’s User Manual in
the paragraph “shoong movies”, seng the parameter in “Slls + Movie” and
“Movie Display”.
We recommend you set Autofocus to “Live Mode”

KNOB REVERSE
INPUT DIAGNOSTICS
To reverse the acon of the knob, while nothing is aached to the unit and it’s
powered on, hold buon 1 for 5s, then power cycle the unit.
To enter input diagnoscs, while nothing is aached to the unit and it’s
powered on, hold buon 5 for 5s. The led will turn o, and for each buon you
press it will turn on, indicang the buon is working. Rotang the knob will
result in two dierent colors. To exit from the procedure, switch o the unit.
SPECIAL FUNCTIONS - BASE MODULE
PHOTO/VIDEO PRIORITY
This funcon set which acon to do when the REC (buon 6) is pressed. If in
PHOTO priority it captures a photo, if in VIDEO priority, start a video.
To acvate it, while connected to the DSLR, hold buon 6 for 2 orange blinks.
To return to the previous seng, repeat the operaon.
WIRELESS ID CHANGE
This funcon set which ID is used for wireless communicaons. The BASE and
REMOTE modules must be on the same channel to work correctly. To change
the channel, while the unit is turned on and not connected to a camera, hold
buon 4 for over than three seconds, then release. The unit will blink red.
There are three IDs available, the rst one make a red blink on the led, the
second makes two blinks, the third three red blinks. Repeat the operaon ll
you get the number of ID you need.
ENABLE/DISABLE WIRELESS RADIO
This funcon is used to disable the radio wireless system when using only the
BASE MODULE. To disable, while the unit is turned on and not connected to a
camera, hold buon 3 for over than three seconds, then release. The unit will
blink red (radio o) or green (radio on).
To prevent excessive baery consumpon, if not using wireless, turn it o with
the above procedure.

STATUS LED - BASE MODULE
Once the main unit is turned on, the soware automacally check for a valid
camera, if one is connected the main led turn orange for two seconds, then
become steady green. The camera is then associated.

There are 11 funcon buons available, every buon have more than a
funcon. Each funcon is marked near the buon.
To enter the rst funcon, press once the buon, to enter the second funcon
hold the buon ll the led blinks red once, then release.
To enter in the third funcon hold the buon ll the led blinks red two mes
(at least two sec.).
When entered a funcon, to increase or decrease values turn the knob
clockwise or counterclockwise. It’s also possible to use FWD and BWD buons
to increase/decrease values. If nothing is changed on the unit, 5 seconds later
the controller exit automacally from the funcon.
NOTE: in some models the MOD buon switch may not operate, due to some
Canon’s rmware limitaons. You have to operate the mode selecon by the
camera’s selector knob.
NOTE: The motor assisted focusing, turning the knob, works ONLY in LiveView.
This is a limit of the Canon internal soware.

Funcon selecon works as follows:
• SINGLE PRESS:
do the base funcon, singular press to acvate.
•SHORT HOLD:
do the second funcon - to acvate hold down the buon and release it when
the red led shortly blinks once.
• LONG HOLD:
do the third funcon - to acvate hold down the buon and release it when
the red led shortly blinks twice.
•EXIT:
to exit from a funcon, you have to press again the same buon you used to
enter, or press the AF/Exit buon at the top le of the controller.
In order to prevent the user does not recognize in which menu was entered,
the unit automacally exit a funcon while is in standby for at least 8 sec.
IMPORTANT NOTICES
• Keep turning the focusing knob aer the lens has reached the end of focus
range may cause excessive wear of autofocus motor.
• Do not aempt to service/open the unit by yourself, there are sensive
internal electrical circuits that can be damaged.
• Use ONLY the provided 8.4v li-ion baery charger
• Do not move focusing manually on the lens while operang the K-Circle, this
may cause saved focus points to become inaccurate.
• The system can have delays because is transming comands thru the USB
port, it’s not a realme system.

BASE MODULE - FUNCTIONS
FRONT BUTTONS
(0) AF•EXIT autofocus • exit
PRESS: exit from the current funcon, if inside Digital Zoom Posion change axis.
HOLD: perform AutoFocus / Metering while holding buon. Release to stop.
(1) LV•DZ•DZP liveview • digital zoom • digital zoom

PRESS: digital zoom - on every press cycle thru 5x,10x,1x (normal)
HOLD: go in LiveView, hold again to deacvate. If you are not in LiveView, an
unique press acvate it. The camera focusing moves only in LiveView, and also
all movie recording features (Canon specic features).
LONG HOLD: zoom area movement, rotang the knob you can move on the X
axis. Push EXIT buon to switch to Y axis movement, rotate the knob to go to
posion. Pushing once EXIT cycles you thru X and Y axis. Once you found the
correct posion, just press the buon again to exit the funcon.
(2) ISO•EXP iso • exposure compensaon
PRESS: iso change, rotate knob to change values, press again to exit
HOLD: exposure change, rotate knob to change values, press to exit
