Introduction:
This Digital Controller is small, but it is full with functions and possibilities such as USB Master,
USB Midi, CD-ROM/MP3 fully function support. The big jog wheel in the middle creates sound
effects such as scratch and brakes easily. The KN-CDPLAY130 has a graphic display for fast and
clear overview. This controller is made by DJ‘s for DJ‘s.
Description back view:
1. USB Port (for External USB storage device)
i. The unit supports FAT formatted USB storage device and rst partition only.
ii. Maximum length of a single track must not exceed 99 minutes.
2. USB Port (for PC Link)
USB connect socket for PC software Link.
3. LINE OUT (Output Jacks)
The audio from each CD player is output from these jacks. Connect to the line input of the mixer.
4. DIGITAL OUT
The digital from each CD player is output from these jacks. Connect to the line input of the D/A
Amplier.
5. Fader Start
This connector is used for fader start; connect it to a mixer, and remote control the „START/
PAUSE“ by moving the fader of mixer.
6. Relay
This connector is used for connecting to another CD player to allow Relay function to work.
7. DC INPUT
Connect the AC adaptor plug in the DC input connector of the CD player before plugging the AC
adapter on the 0V power net.

Description top view:
1. Start / Brake:
Turning the control knob to control the Start/Brake time.
Time range: 0-8 seconds, adjust unit: 0.1sec.
2. RELAY (not available at this stage)
Press the „RELAY“ button to activate. When one unit is in „play“ mode, and the other unit is in
„pause“ mode; pause the playing unit, the other unit will automatically start to play (the button will
blink).
3. DUMP (not available at this stage)
It is similar to Reverse effects. As it switches On, music plays backwards, but when it switches off,
music backs to normal playing from the rst play position. For example, start Dump from 00:40
and cancel at 00:35, the music backs to play from 00:45.
The Dump buffer time is about 15 seconds, if there is no more buffer, the music stops DUMP.
In auto Mode, user is able to select the range of the DUMP time, (1//4/8 of BPM). Please switch
Auto/Manual mode from Menu.
4. REVERSE:
The music plays backwards. This sound effect can be performed independently, or in parallel with
other effect.
5. SCRATCH:
Move the JOG Wheel backward or forward like scratching a turntable record. This sound effect
can be performed independently, or in parallel with other effect.

6. BOP BUTTON
The playback will automatically play from the CUE point upon the button is pressed.
7. CUE BUTTON
The cue function allows the CD returning to the memorized point. In PAUSE mode, pressing the
CUE button to set the cue point, and the CUE button blinks; in PLAY mode, press this button to
pause the unit at the memorized point.
8. PLAY/ PAUSE BUTTON
Each press of this button causes the operation to change between PLAY and PAUSE modes.
9. HOT-CUE
This unit will allow you to play from 3 cue points instantly.
a. Set CUE memory: Press the MEMO button rst, and then press the CUE button to complete
the CUE setting, then this CUE button will light up.
b. Play „CUE“ memory: Upon pressing specic CUE button, it will ash about 5 seconds.
10 TIME BUTTON
This button switches the time display between total remaining time, each remaining time and
elapsed playing time.
11. CONT./SINGLE BUTTON
Press this button to switch between auto cue single and continue. The selected mode is indicated
on the display.
*AUTO CUE SINGLE - After each track, the unit pauses at the beginning of next track. The
playback starts from audible point.
*CONTINUE -To play all tracks continually.
12. Title

14. Seamless Loop
A => A point is able to record during PLAY and PAUSE mode. If B Point is recorded, and A point
re-set behind B-point, B-point will be cleared
B/EXIT
(1) No function if A-CUE is recorded.
() As A-CUE is recorded, press B button to complete Loop setting and start looping. Loop Circle
and text will be completely show.
Press B-Loop/EXIT button as looping, loop stops and A-LED, B-LED, RELOOP-LED stop ashing
and remain light on. Press B-loop/EXIT again to reset B point and looping starts again.
(3) A-Point time must be in front the B Point. If A point time sets after B point, B point will be
canceled.
(4) „mark“ shows on the time bar of LCD if B point is set.
A, B, RELOOP-LED ashing (1.0Hz) when looping started.
(5) Reloop: press the button to restart looping.
15. Edit: A/B point Edit (not available at this stage)
During Edit mode, press Edit to start Edit mode and choose A/B point for modication.
A/B LED ashes faster (4Hz) after Edit button pressed and press A/B button to adjust the record
point.
Press Edit button again to conrm the modication.
16. Track Knob/ Menu selection knob
a. In Play/Pause mode: Turn the knob to skip track immediately or press the knob to enter File
Select mode.
b. In Program/le select mode: Turn the knob to select the tracks and press down the knob to
conrm.
c. In Menu mode: Turn the knob to select the menu content and press down the knob to
conrm.

17. Back
Press the „back“ button to go to upper layer or hold the „back“ button for seconds to go to top layer.

18. Next Track
Preset Next playing track.
Under NEXT TRACK mode, playing track will end with cross fade effect and connect with NEXT
set track.
Press the Next track button to enter the Next track mode, and select the NEXT playing TRACK on
the display.
Hold the back button seconds to exit Next track mode.Turning the Track button to start play
NEXT TRACK immediately.
19. Program Program function is working under Pause mode only.
Press Program button to enter the program mode and Hold for second to exit.

Press Program button in Program mode to conrm the track selection. Display will show the
Program list for 3 seconds and back to le select mode to continue the programming.

20. SEARCH BUTTON
Press the buttons to Forward / Backward the track
21. KEY ON/OFF SWITCH
Press the button to switch KEY mode on or off.
KEY OFF: The display shows the „KEY“ in blinking, and the key changed according to the pitch
change.
l The key parameter adjustment is not in effect
l KEY ON: The „KEY“ lights on the display, turning the SCOPE knob to adjust the key. Slide the
pitch slider will also change the key.
22. ON/OFF BUTTON (PITCH)
Press the button to be PITCH ON mode, press it again on the PITCH ON mode, and blinks with
unit on the PITCH OFF mode.
23. PITCH BUTTON
Select the pitch change range from ±8%, ±16%, ±3%, ±100%. The playback speed will change
when you move the pitch control slider.
24 PITCH BEND + / - BUTTON
When each of the two CD players is playing, the pitch bend function allows the position of the
bass beat to be matched after the pitch has been adjusted. The pitch will automatically rise up to
+ 16% from the current setting while pressing the „+“ button. While pressing the „–“ button, the
pitch will automatically drop to - 16 % from current setting. With changing the pitch the position of
the beats can be matched.

25. PITCH CONTROL SLIDER
To match the choices of playback speed (8%,16%,3%,100% for CDDA, 8%, 16%, 3% for MP3),
you can choose what range you want between minimum (up side) and maximum (bottom side) by
moving the pitch control slider.
26. BPM BUTTON
You can get the BPM number automatically or manually. Pressing the BPM BUTTON for 3 seconds
to switch between auto and manual control. The BEAT will be shown on the display! Under the
manual mode, tap this button to get the beat value.
27. JOG WHEEL
l Speed Control
Rotating the wheel, in play mode, will change the playback speed accordingly. While rotating
clockwise, the player speed increase; rotating counterclockwise, the speed decrease.
l Scratch Effect (Scratch indicator lights)
SLEEP:
Leave the unit unused for 30 minutes; the machine will shut off automatically.
