cause a problem, an insulated hot pad is recommended.
16. Do not leave unit unattended during use.
17. Always use the product on a clean, flat, hard, dry and heat

POLARIZED PLUG INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than
the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit into the

SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting
from becoming entangled in, or tripping over a longer cord. Extension
cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
•The electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least that of
the appliance. If the electrical rating of the extension cord is too
low, it could overheat and burn.
•The resulting extended cord should be arranged so that it will not
drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by
children or tripped over.
PARTS DESCRIPTION
See page 2-3.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
•Before using the appliance for the first time, remove and peel off all
promotional and packaging materials. Check that the cooking
plats is clean and free of dust.
•Clean the crepe and pancake maker (See "Cleaning and
Maintenance") and place the unit on a flat, dry, and heat-resistant
surface.
•It is recommended to heat the crepe and pancake maker for
about 10 minutes without any foodstuff on its surfaces. This helps to
eliminate any grease that may have adhered during
manufacturing and to eliminate the "new" appliance smell.
•Ventilate the room during this period. When your crepe and
pancake maker is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke
or odor. This is normal with many heating appliances. This does not
affect the safety of your appliance.

OPERATION
•Place the unit on a flat, dry, and heat-resistant surface.
•Plug into the electrical outlet. The red power light will come on to
indicate that the appliance is switched on and that your crepe and
pancake maker is preheating.
•When the green pilot light goes on, it means that the desired
temperature is reached. During use, this light will come on and off
regularly. This simply means that the thermostat is regulating the
appliance's temperature.
Caution: during operation, the baking plate heats up. Use caution to
avoid burns. Use oven mitts and heat-resistant wooden or plastic utensils!
To make crepes:
•Place the “Crepe” plate onto the appliance and secure it onto the
heating element (for instructions on how to do this, go to “Assembly
and Removal of the Reversible plate”).
•Turn the temperature knob to the desired heat setting (from Light to
Dark, according to desired crepe doneness).
•The plate should reach the selected temperature in a few minutes
only, and the green “Ready” indicator will illuminate.
•Brush the plate with oil or non-stick cooking spray or clarified butter.
•Pour a small amount of batter (approx. ¼ cup) onto the center of the
cooking plate.
•Quickly spread the batter in circulating movements using the batter
spreader, taking care not to press down too hard, until desired
diameter of the crepe is achieved.
•Allow the crepe to cook until the top surface is no longer runny, and
the bottom is set, about 45-60 seconds, and the crepe can be
moved slightly on the cooking plate.
•Slide the wooden spatula under the crepe and turn the crepe over
the cook the other side.
•Cook the crepe until just golden. Do not overcook. Use the wooden
spatula to remove the crepe from the cooking plate and place it on
a plate.
•Repeat with remaining batter. You may cover your crepes to keep
them warm.

•Brush the 4 pancake-shaped circles with oil, non-stick cooking spray
or clarified butter.
•Pour a small amount of batter (approx. 2-3 tbsp) onto the center of
each circle.
•Let the batter spread to the edge of each circle, use the batter
spreader or the back of a spoon to help spread to the edges if
necessary. Stay within the edges of the circle.
•Allow the pancakes to cook until the top starts making bubbles and
wait until the bubbles pop and form holes that stay open on the
surface of the pancake.

cook the other sides.
