iKey USB User Manual
KINGMAX new product “iKey”USB Finger Print Reader is especially designed for customers’
convenience. It can be seen as your Password Manager, which helps you to remember all the
passwords. For example, it can log into your computer, shopping web pages and social network
web pages. Other then that, iKey can apply to any computer, external hard disk. USB, and flash files.
You can use iKey to encrypt and decrypt the files through the fingerprint recognition, which makes
it the most easy and fast smart Key. It only needs you 0.05 seconds to press and recognize your
identification.
iKey is easy and convenient to use. You will only need to insert the iKey into the USB hub device,
and your computer will automatically install the iKey App for you. Then all you need is to follow the
steps which show on the screen. iKey App is passed the certification of Windows 10 Hello, and it
also supports Win8.1/Win7. The advanced technique can prevent the forged fingerprint, which
gives you more protection and security. Other than 360° non-directional finger access, it can also
set up to 10 fingerprints, which gives your whole family a perfect and private space, and thus it
upgrades your computer into a highly secure computer.

1. How to install Smart ID driver
Install Smart ID software according to your Windows version.
Win10: Insert the Smart ID dongle, the computer will automatically downloading the Smart ID Drive.
(Attention: Please close firewall or anti-virus software before installation!!!)
Win7/8: Please go to Kingmax website to download the Smart ID software.

2. How to install Smart ID software
Install Smart ID software according to your Windows version.
Win10: Insert the Smart ID dongle, the computer will automatically downloading the Smart ID
software. (Attention: Please close firewall or anti-virus software before installation!!!)
Win7/8: Please go to Kingmax website to download the Smart ID software.
(Attention: Please close firewall or anti-virus software before installation!!!)
Get the SmartIDInstaller software. Double click the execution file.
Follow the process of the installation step by step.

If you did not plug in the dongle, the following message will pop up. However, you can choose
“Ignore” to proceed.
After installation, the Smart-ID program will be launched. Also, you can find the program link on
desktop.

You can also find the program in the shortcut area after the program executed.

If you have Chrome installed, the following Smart-IDWebAutoLogin program should be installed.
Please install and enable the addon program.
If you cannot connect to Chrome application store, you can install the addon program manually.
In C:/ directory, you can find Smart-ID-WebAutoLogin.crx, just drag & drop the file to the addon
manager on Chrome browser.

Attention: when the IE browser launched first time after installation, the following message will
pop up. Please choose “enable”.
Or, you can check the “Manage add-ons” by clicking the setting icon of IE.
Please make sure the WebAutoLoginBHO program has been activated.

3. How to activate the Fingerprint Login function
Please follow the below procedures according to your Windows version.
Win 7/8 Users:
Go to Control Panel
Select the Biometric Device
Change the Biometric Device
Select the Biometric Device to allow the users to log in

Select Biometric Setting to Allow Users to logon
To log into the computer
Insert the iKey into USB hub
Click on Switch Users
Fingerprint Login
You will need to key in the PIN number (the same PIN as you log into Computer)
If you want to test you need to log out and then scan your finger to log in.
For Win10 Users:
Go to Setting
Windows Hello Account
Windows Hello to create a new Fingerprint
Windows Hello welcome – click START
Key in the PIN number (the same PIN as you log into your computer)
Atten: If you still cannot log into the computer using the fingerprint, please be sure your APP is
the updated version. If the APP is the old version you will need to update.
