OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
PRODUCT MAY VARY SLIGHTLY FROM ILLUSTRATIONS
This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged into an AC electrical
outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other electrical outlet.
CORD PLUG
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement
or tripping over a longer cord. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider
than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to t into a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t into the outlet, reverse the plug and
try again. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not attempt to modify
the plug in any way.
LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it rmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are
found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord replaced.
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue stress
on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.
Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may
be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer detachable power-supply cord
or extension cord is used:

4
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least
as great as the electrical rating of the appliance, and
2) The cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over unintentionally.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY DAMAGE, OR IF
APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS WORKING ENTIRELY.
IMPORTANT
During the rst few minutes of initial use, you may notice smoke and/or a slight odor.
This is normal and should quickly disappear. It will not recur after appliance has been
used a few more times.
USING YOUR BURNER
Solid surface countertops can be easily scratched, cracked, scorched, or damaged, especially
when exposed to heat. To prevent damage, the following precautions should be observed
when using this product:
• Always use a trivet under heat generating sources such as Slow Cookers, Toaster Ovens,
Skillets, or any kitchen appliance.
Before using, operate the burner in order to burn off residue on the heating elements.
When doing this, it is suggested the HIGH heat setting be used.
HOW TO USE: Place on a at, smooth countertop surface. Be sure to place it in a safe
area where it will not fall or be pulled on by the cord, and provide at least 4 to 6 inches of
space above and around the unit for proper air circulation.
CAUTION: Never operate the unit in a tilted position, or if the heating element is not
properly in position. Plug unit into electrical wall outlet and turn the variable temerature
control to the desired heat setting.
NOTE: The dual burners operate independently of each other and each of the two
burners has a different wattage. They each have their own adjustable thermostat
to control the temperature. The burner on the right has a power output of 500
watts. The burner on the left has a power output of 1000 watts.
For best results, allow unit to heat for approximately one minute before placing pot or
pan on the burner. It is recommended to use pots or pans that are essentially the same
size as the burner. When using, the pot or pan should be placed in the center of the
burner. The burner operates similar to a stove-top burner. To boil water, set the variable
temperature control to the HIGH setting. To heat pre-cooked food, select the lower heat
settings.
NOTE: Always turn temperature control dial to the 12 o’clock position and unplug when
not in use.
USER MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user servicable parts. Do not
try to repair it yourself. Refer it to qualied personnel if servicing is needed.

5
TO CLEAN: Turn the temperature control dial to the 12 o’clock position, unplug from
outlet, and allow to cool completely before cleaning.
NOTE: NEVER IMMERSE UNIT IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. NEVER USE
STEEL WOOL OR ABRASSIVE CLEANERS, AS THEY MAY SCRATCH THE SURFACE
OR DAMAGE THE UNIT.
The base, heating element and drip pan may be wiped with a soft, slightly damp cloth
or sponge. Drip pan may be reached by lifting and tilting the heating element. A mild
dishwashing soap may be used to remove food soils on the base and drip pan; soap
residue should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. After cleaning the unit, food residue
may be burned off of the heating element by operating the variable temperature control
at the HIGH heat setting for approximately ve minutes.
TO STORE: Unplug the unit and allow it to cool completely before storing. Store the
item in its box or in a clean, dry place. Never wrap cord tightly around the appliance.
Do not put stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray
