Pleasereadthisinstructionmanualcarefullytoensurecorrectuseoftheproduct,

andstoreitinasafeplaceforeasyaccess.

Handling and Safety Precautions

These precautions should be strictly observed in order to ensure safe,

long-term use of the product.

The following precautions should be observed particularly strictly:

1. Thissimulatorismadetohavethesamefeelasthatofalivingbody.Unduehandlingmaycause

breakageofthesimulator.

2. Thismodelhasadistinctiveodorresultingfromthematerialsitismadefromhoweverisnot

harmfultothebodyorindicateanyproblemwithquality.Thisdistinctiveodorwillweakenover

time.Theproductisalsocoatedinbabypowderatthetimeofmanufactureandthesmellof

babypowdermayremainontheproduct.

3. Thesimulatorreproducestheresistanceofthebulbarurethra.

 Wheninsertingthecatheter,ifthepenisisloweredtoananglelessthanabout60degrees,the

insertionofthecathetermaybedi󱐰cult.Accordingly,pleaseholdthepenisatanangleofabout

60degrees.

4. Whenyoupracticecleaningordisinfectingofthepubicarea,pleaseusewater.Useofalcohol

maycausebreakageofthesimulator.

 Useofcoloreddisinfectantliquidmaycausepigmenttobefixedtothesimulatorsothatthe

pigmentcannotberemoved.

5. Asforthelubricant,pleaseuseK-Ytmlubricatingjelly.PleasedonotuseK-Y®gel,asitmay

increasetheinsertionresistanceofthecatheter.

6. Pleasedonotuseoilylubricant(oliveoiletc.),alcohollubricant,andlubricantcontainingorganic

solvent.Thesemaycausebreakageofthesimulator.

7. Pleaseusecathetersof14Frand16Fr.

8. Pleasecheckthestateofthecatheterbeforeinsertingthecatheter.Pleasedonotuseacatheter

thatisdegradedordeformed.Suchacatheterisdi󱐰culttoinsert.

9.Wheninsertingthecatheter,pleaseapplythelubricanteachtime.

10.Ifitisdi󱐰culttoinsertthecatheter,pleaseincreasetheamountofthelubricanttobeapplied

oruseanothercatheter(firmsiliconecatheterorcatheterwiththinnerbaloonpartetc).The

simulatormaybreakifsuchacatheterisforcedtobeinserted.

11.Whenindwellingthecatheter,pleaseinatetheballoonafterinsertingthecatheterapartfrom

theballoonendportionbyadistanceequaltoorgreaterthan23cm.Indwellingofthecatheter

inanintermediateofthevalvecausesthevalveandthecathetertobebroken.

12.Iftheinsertionofthecatheterisrepeatedapluralityoftimes,watermayaccumulateinthe

urethralcanal.Ifthesimulatorisusedinsuchastate,watermayleakthroughtheurethralexit.

Pleaseslantthesimulatorsuitablytodrainthewater.

13. Afteruse,pleasewashthesimulatorandthecatheterwellwithwater.Ifthelubricantdriesand

hardens,itmayinterferewiththeuseofthesimulator.

14.Pleasecheckthestateofthevalveateveryuse.Ifthevalveisbroken,itmaycausealeakageof

water.

15.Oilcomponentsmaycomeoutofthegenitalskin.Afteruse,pleasedonotkeepthegenitalskin

attachedtothesimulator.Pleasewrapitincookingpaper,gauze,etc.,putitintoanattached

reclosablepolybag,andkeepit.Foradetailedstoragemethod,pleaserefertothewashingand

storagemethodsonpage14.

16.Applycommerciallyavailablebabypowdertoreducefrictionifyoumindstickinessofthegenital

skinorafteritiswashedwithwaterfollowinguse.

17.Pleasecheckthestateofthegenitalskineverythreeyearsasareference,andexchangeit

accordingly.

18.Pleasedonotplaceobjectsonthesimulator.Otherwise,thesimulatormaybedeformed.

19. Pleasedonotkeepthesimulatorincontactwithprintedmatter.Print,suchasletters,may

transfertothesimulatorandbexedthere.

20.Whenstoringthesimulator,pleaseselectaplacethatisnotsubjecttodirectsunlightand

ultravioletrays.

21.Thisproductisintendedforuseinstandardoperatingenvironments.Donotuseitinheavy 

industrialsettings.

22.Thismodelusesurethanefoamforsomeofitsparts,andmaybesusceptibletodamagefrom

peststhatareattractedtourethanefoam(suchasinsectsintheantfamily).

 Whenstoringthismodel,ensurethatthoroughmeasuresaretakentopreventpestdamage

beforestoring.Thecompanywillnotbeinvolvedwithorheldliableforpestdamagethatoccurs

duringstorage.

Thesimulatorcanbemountedonahumanbodyoradollsothataseriesoftechniquesregarding

catheterizationandenemacanbepracticed.Thefeelofthepenisiscloselysimilartothatofaliving

bodypenis.Ifacatheterizationcatheterisappropriatelyinserted,urine(water)owsout.

malecanbepracticed.

・Sincethesimulatorisofastrap-ontype,itcanbemountedonahumanbodyoramodeldoll

sothatthepracticecanbeperformed.

・Bymountingthesimulatoronahumanbody,thefeelingofapatientcanbesimulated.

Also,bymountingthesimulatoronasimulationpatient,techniquescanbepracticedwhile

communicatingwiththesimulationpatient.

・Sincesoftandstretchablematerialsareusedforthepubicarea,theappearanceandfeelare

realistictogivepresencewhenpracticing.

・Aseriesoftechniquesofcatheterizationsuchasdisinfectingofapubicarea,andinsertingand

removingofacathetercanbepracticed.

・Techniquessuchaspeelingoftheforeskin,disinfectingandcleaningcanbeperformed.

・Themotionofthepenisisalsoclosetothatofalivingbodypenis.Thesimulatoriscongured

suchthatitisdi󱐰culttoinsertthecatheterifthepenisisnotraisedappropriately.

3. Handling Method

3-1AssemblingofSimulator

1. Pleaseconnectthebagforirrigatortothebladdertube,andputwaterintothebagfor 

 irrigator.Pleaseopenaclamp,llthebladdertubewithwater,closetheclamp,andattach

 thebladdervalvetothebagforirrigator.

2.Pleaseapplylubricanttothedistalendoftheglansandinsertitintothegenitalskin.

 Pleasecheckthattheglansisnottwistedandthenxtheurethralpartandthegenitalskin

 withhookandloopfasteners.

Checkwhether

ornottheglans

istwisted.

3.Pleaseinserttheurethralpartofthegenitalskinintothestrap-ontypeframe.

4.Pleaseinsertthestrap-ontyperectumconnectingconnectorintothestrap-ontypeframe,

 andputtheanalportionofthegenitalskinonthestrap-ontyperectumconnecting

 connector.Aftertheconnectorisinserteddeepintotheanalportion,pleasetandxthe

 positionofthegenitalskintothestrap-ontypeframe.

5.PleaseinserttheO-ringintotheconnectoroftheurethralpart,andconnectittothebladder

 tube.

6.Pleaseconnectthestrap-ontyperectumconnectingconnectortothedraintube.

3-2WearingMethod

1.Pleaseremovethefrontbeltandrearbeltfromthewaistbelt.

2.Pleasewearthewaistbeltandadjusttheadjusteraccordingtowaistsize.

3.Pleasepassthefrontbeltthroughthewaistbelt,andtandxthepositionofthepubicarea

 withhookandloopfasteners.

4.Pleasepasstherearbeltthroughthewaistbelt,andxitwithhookandloopfastenerssuch

 thatthebeltsdonotcomeloose.

5.Whenperforminganenematechnique,pleaseremovethefrontbeltonce,tthepositionof

 theanustothebody,andadjustthelengthoftherearbeltrst.
