LaCie LaCie Ethernet Disk Handbuch

Network Storage Solution

Add more storage space to your ofce’s network for

sharing important les, backing up critical data, and

archiving your folders with the LaCie Ethernet Disk.

Featuring advanced le-sharing technology, it frees le

servers by providing independent, standalone storage

accessible to any computer on the network. The LaCie

Ethernet Disk is available with Gigabit Ethernet interface

connection.

No IT Expertise Needed

To meet your needs for simplified data management and

easy integration of hardware into your existing system,

you can effortlessly set-up the LaCie Ethernet Disk

without any technical expertise. With simple installation,

it can be administered and controlled without difficulty

via any web browser, and can even be accessed

remotely via the web (HTTP or FTP). Use the web-based

management tool, which comes in multiple languages,

for easy configuration.

Enhanced Data Management

If your department, independent agency, franchise,

or ofce team is experiencing growing storage needs,

the LaCie Ethernet Disk offers a perfect shared hard

drive solution. When the maximum native capacity of

the Ethernet Disk is reached, use the Hi-Speed USB

2.0 ports to extend capacity, back up on external USB

drives, or daisy-chain with other drives.

Ultimate Ofce Companion

Data capacity demands are growing, but IT resources

and budgets for small-and medium-sized businesses

(SMBs) are limited. The LaCie Ethernet Disk will help

you store, back up and share les among as many

as 25 users simultaneously. The LaCie Ethernet Disk’s

sturdy aluminum design allows it to be used as a stand-

alone device that, when positioned on the desktop, can

support a monitor weighing as much as 40 lbs. It can

also be stacked or integrated into 19-inch racks.

• Share/back up over a network and archive les

• Expand capacity with additional USB drives

• Web-based management tool in multiple languages

• Windows, Mac, Linux and UNIX compatible
