Electrical safety
Check if the voltage indicated on the bottom of the
appliance corresponds to the local mains voltage before
you connect the appliance. If it does not match up,
contact the after sales support details listed in this
manual and do not use the kettle.
Do not operate the kettle on an inclined plane.
In order to be protected against electrical hazards,
do not immerse the power cord, plug, or appliance in
water or any other liquid.
Ensure your hands are dry before handling the plug or
switching on the appliance.
Power cord and plug
Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If
the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, the manufacturer’s authorized service
centres or similar qualified personnel.
The length of the power cord can be adjusted. To
shorten the cord, push the excess cord back into the
base. For added safety, only the minimum length of the
cord should be visible between the base and the socket.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is
used near children.
Do not unplug the appliance by pulling on the cord.
Instead, grasp the plug and pull.
Keep the cord away from heat sources and do not let
the power cord hang over a table edge.
Installation
Keep the appliance away from heat sources and place
only on heat resistant, dry and stable flat surfaces.
Do not place the kettle on hot surfaces or metal trays.
Do not use the kettle at subzero temperatures. The
control thermostat may reset to boil and energize the
element.
Turn the spout away from walls or cabinets during the
boiling process to avoid possible steam damage.
