Understanding the Air Purier
(Front View)
Control for the negative ion generator is separate from the O3 control. Negative ions can be
created around the clock to reduce dust and particles.
O3 also known as activated oxygen is normally kept at modest levels in occupied spaces. To
remove heavy odors, the unit may be adjusted to a higher level for a period of time. Some
use a timer to completely deodorize the home or oce while away. Unused O3 reverts back
to O2 in about one hour.
As you stand in front of the unit the ionizer will create a slight charge.
If you then touch a metal object there may be a static electric discharge
similar to touching a doorknob during the winter.

Pre-Filter

WARNING ON OZONE USAGE
The only safe use of ozone generators is in unoccupied rooms, utilizing
"shock treatment" that produces over 3000 mg of ozone per hour. It is not healthy to
breathe ozone gas, and one should use extreme caution when using ozone feature.

OZONE PLATE REQUIRES SPECIAL ATTENTION
Your just about ready to get started living with clean and puried air in your home! All of
the lters have been installed the only thing you need to do to using the MAMMOTH xC, is
plug in the power cord and turn it on. One note though however, if the Ozone Plate is not
inserted and you wish to install, here are the directions below. Please note, the Mammoth
Air 1000 is designed to operate with or without the ozone plate, you may choose either way.
Installing Ozone Plate
Installing the ozone plate is extremely easy. Simply open the back cover held by (4) four
hand-screws. Remove the lter to exposed the inside of the unit. Insert the ozone plate with
arrows pointing forward (face front of unit) into the vertical thin slot in the middle of the air
purier so as the ozone plate is resting vertically contacting 2 metal prongs.
Reinstalling Filters (Common FAQ: Machine does NOT turn on)
When putting back the replacement lters, there is a safety lever located at the bottom right
side of the machine lter holder. Push the lter against the silver safety lever.
CAUTION: Turn Power Switch OFF before opening the back panel of
the air purier to insert ozone plate or replace parts.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE OZONE FEATURE
Because of its high reactivity and its ability to destroy microscopic organisms, Ozone has the
reputation of being a highly eective air purier. Whatever your needs are, the ozone feature
can be used in a variety of locations: hotels, hospitals, stores/shops, oces and residential
spaces. All types of air-conditioned spaces that utilize this product are able to transform a
smoky and smelly area into a clean air scent and freshen the environment. Ozone is one of
the cost eective solutions when compared to all other types of technology on the market
today.
Here are few of the ozone function’s positive benets:
•Actively defends you from contaminants, impurities and unwanted bacteria in the
environment without having to pull air through the air purier.
•Decreases viruses and unhealthy bacteria from the surroundings therefore lessening the
growth of ailments like pneumonia, tuberculosis and other sicknesses.
•Reduces the risk of allergies, bacterial or viral infections, hay fever and respiratory
problems to some extent.
Something to keep in mind- everyone interacts with ozone dierently, it is
recommended that the ozone feature be kept on while people and pets are
not present in the room. Although the Classic Air Purier has ozone output levels
below the safety standard, overexposure can cause the following:
Using the Ozone feature for about 15 minutes at a time in the home will eectively purify the
air and prevent any negative side eects on the residents. However if you are still hesitant
about using the ozone feature or after using the ozone feature, you feel like coughing and
feeling worse, the ozone feature can be switched o while having all the other features of the
MAMMOTH xC in full function for air purication.
Ozone is NOT necessary. The air purier will work without ozone feature ON or without the
plate being inserted. Should you have the ozone plate inserted, the Mammoth Air Purier
conveniently has a 5 adjustable output setting that includes an on/o feature and a digital
programmable self-timer, that will bring commercial air cleaning power to your home with
great usability.

Both hour and minute will start ashing. This means the time is not programmable.
Press “Fan ∆” or“Fan ∆” to set hour.

The two available options are:
- Timer to turn Air Purier (Fan) On/O at a pre-dened time
- Timer to turn Ozone On/O at a separate pre-dened time
Using Timer to turn Air Purier (Fan) On/O & Ozone On/O
Generally speaking, you can and should run your air purier continuously. It will take time
for the air purier to cycle through the air in the space it is in. The air purier is design to
run continuously without stopping.
Ozone has it’s benet and drawbacks. More detail about ozone is explained on another
section of this user manual. A recommend setting is to leave the ozone on while no one is
present and have ozone shut o about 30 minutes before anyone enters the space again.
1. Make sure the current time is correct.
2. Press Time/Set for at least two (2) seconds, this will cause the time to blink as well as
the specic timer to blink below the time display (Unit On time -> Unit O time -> Ozone
On time -> Ozone O time)
3. Adjust the hour and minutes by press UP and Down button on Fan and Ozone Button
4. Press Time/Set once done to complete the whole process.
Note: The air purier requires you to set all the timer in advance even if all you want to use
is the fan timer. The fan or the ozone timer will not be enabled unless you press the timer
button (see below). This means if you are not sure what time to set for the ozone timer
because you will not be using the ozone feature, you can set any random time you like since
it will not be enabled (since you will not enable the ozone timer).
To Enable Timer for the Unit and for the Ozone feature
To enable Fan Timer – Press Fan Timer (Note: this will enable all current congurations
except ozone.)
To enable Ozone Timer –Press Ozone Timer (Note: the ozone will only be turned on if the
unit is already ON. If the unit is OFF, the ozone timer will not turn ozone on until the air
purier is manually turned on or the Fan timer switches the machine on.)

Pre Filter
It may not seem like a very important lter in the system, but a Pre Filter is actually invaluable
to the eciency of the Mammoth Air xC. The Pre Filter catches the majority of large particles
that linger in the air indoors. As the air is circulated through the air purier, the Pre Filter traps
these larger particles. The Pre Filter is easy to remove and should be washed frequently.
Without the Pre Filter, the next lter in line, the HEPA lter, can become clogged with larger
particles oating in the air, requiring more frequent lter replacement. This is especially true
if you have a large family with lots of animals and kids that produce dander, hair, and other
large particles.
It is absolutely necessary to keep an eye on the Pre Filter to determine if it is ling up with
particles. If the Pre Filter is not changed out regularly, the eectiveness of the rest of the
Mammoth Air 1000 may be compromised.
High-Eciency HEPA Filter
HEPA stands for High Eciency Particulate Arresting lters, which basically explains exactly
what they do. HEPA lters are eective at capturing dust, mold, pollens, allergens and other
solid particles as small as 3 micron. Through a very ne paper-like lter, the pollutants in the
air pass through the HEPA lter and are trapped. At this point, any bacteria and particles die
because the HEPA lters are dry and sterile, preventing any future growth.
The Mammoth Air xC HEPA Filter is part of the Mammoth IceTechTM 3-in-1 lter.
