This unit is splash resistant, meaning it can withstand small splashes of
water.

INFORMATION:
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for

• Do not open the CD compartment while the CD is rotating.
• Always keep the CD compartment closed when not in use.
• Keep all foreign objects out of the CD compartment.
• Place the unit on a stable surface.
• Avoid installing the unit in locations described below:
• Places exposed to direct sunlight or close to heat radiating
appliances such as electric heaters.
• On top of other stereo equipment that radiates too much
heat.
• Placed lacking ventilation or dusty places.
• Places subject to constant vibration.
• Humid or moist places.

Dear Customer:
Selecting fine audio equipment such as the unit you’ve just purchased is only the start of
your musical enjoyment. Now it’s time to consider how you can maximize the fun and
excitement your equipment offers. This manufacturer and the Electronic Industries
Association’s Consumer Electronics Group want you to get the most out of your equipment
by playing it at a safe level. One that lets the sound come through loud and clear without
annoying blaring or distortion and, most importantly, without affecting your sensitive hearing.
Sound can be deceiving. Over time your hearing “comfort level” adapts to higher volumes of
sound. So what sounds “normal” can actually be loud and harmful to your hearing. Guard
against this by setting your equipment at a safe level BEFORE your hearing adapts.
To establish a safe level:
• Start your volume control at a low setting.
• Slowly increase the sound until you can hear it comfortably and clearly, and without
distortion.
Once you have established a comfortable sound level:
• Set the dial and leave it there.

INSTALLATION
MOUNTING THE UNIT ON
THE BASE
To use this unit with the
supplied base, simply insert
the base into the hole on
the bottom of the unit, then
rotate the base 90° to
attach the base to the main
unit as shown in figure 1.
REMOVING THE UNIT
FROM THE BASE
To remove unit from base,
simply press in on the tab
located at the bottom of the
base and lift up the unit as
shown in figure 2.
SPLASH RESISTANT: DO NOT use this unit under direct
water flow. This unit is splash resistant, meaning it can
withstand small splashes of water.

INSTALLATION (CONTINUED)
REMOVAL
To remove, reverse the above steps.
IMPORTANT CAUTION
Make sure the suction cups are secured on the wall every two to three weeks.
Put the Wall Adapter with suction cups
on the wall.

Pull the suction cup lever down and it
will stick to the wall.

Connect the main unit to the Wall
Adapter by inserting the holes on the
base unit into the hooks on the Wall
Adapter.

USING THE HANGING CORD
Use the Hanging Cord to hang the
unit on an already installed hook,
nail, etc. When using the Hanging
cord, also use the Wall Adapter for
extra support.

INSTALLING ON A WALL

This CD player requires either six (6) “C” cell batteries (not included) or a
9V AC adapter having a positive center.
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Make sure the unit is not on the
base. Open the battery
compartment door by rotating the
Battery knob clockwise, then lift
the battery compartment off.
2. Insert six (6) “C” cell batteries (not
included) as shown in the
illustration to the right. Alkaline
batteries are recommended for
the longest playing time.
3. Replace the battery compartment
cover and rotate the Battery knob
counter-clockwise so the compartment is secured.
AC OPERATION
To operate the unit using AC power, connect an adapter with an input of
120V, 60Hz and an output of 9V DC, 500mA (adapter not included) to an
AC outlet having 120V, 60Hz AC only. Plug the small end into the DC 9V
jack on the unit and connect the other end into the AC outlet. The batteries
are automatically disconnected when the AC adapter is used.
CAUTION: When not using AC power, disconnect the AC adapter from
the wall outlet by pulling the plug (not the cord). Do not touch the AC
adapter with wet hands and plug fully inserted without exposing any part
of the blade. Do not use an AC adapter near water.

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Follow these precautions when using batteries in this device:
1. Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
2. Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries as indicated next to the battery
compartment. Reversed batteries may cause damage to the device.
3. Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. Alkaline and Carbon-zinc) or old batteries with
fresh ones.
4. If the device is not to be used for a long period of time, remove the batteries to prevent damage or
injury from possible battery leakage.
5. Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat and rupture.
(Follow battery manufacturer’s directions.)

OPERATION
Press the POWER button ❶to turn
the unit on. Press the Function button
❷ to select Radio.

Press the STOP (■)/BAND button to
select the AM or FM band.

TO PLAY THE RADIO
Antennas
Turn the unit for best AM/FM reception.
MANUAL TUNING: Repeatedly press the Skip/Search/Tune ❶ or ❷ to
manually advance the frequency in the display up or down until the desired
frequency appears.
AUTOMATIC TUNING: Press and hold the Skip/Search/Tune ❶ or ❷
until the frequency in the display starts to scan, and then release the button; the
tuner will search and then stop on the next strong station it finds. Repeat this
procedure until the desired frequency appears in the display. Adjust the
VOLUME control ❸ as desired.

FOGLESS MIRROR
Before using, remove the thin film over the fogless mirror and discard.
CLEANING THE MIRROR
If the mirror, which is made of polycarbonate (plastic), becomes dirty or smudged
with fingerprints, it may be cleaned with a wet soft cloth. Never use abrasive cloths
or polishes as these will mar the finish of the mirror.
