Important Safety Notice

M ny electric l nd mech nic l p rts in this ch ssis h ve speci l s fety-rel ted ch r cteristics.

These p rts re identified by in the Schem tic Di gr m nd Repl cement P rts List.

It is essenti l th t these speci l s fety p rts should be repl ced with the s me components s

recommended in this m nu l to prevent Shock, Fire, or other H z rds.

Do not modify the origin l design without permission of m nuf cturer.

Leakage Current Hot Check (See below Figure)

Plug the AC cord directly into the AC outlet. Do not use line Isol tion Tr nsformer during this check. Connect

1.5K/10w tt resistor in p r llel with 0.15uF c p citor between known good e rth ground (W ter Pipe, Conduit, etc)

nd the exposed met llic p rts. Me sure the AC volt ge cross the resistor using AC voltmeter with 1000 ohms/volt or

more sensitivity. Reverse plug of the AC cord into the AC outlet nd repe t AC volt ge me surements for e ch exposed

met llic p rt. Any volt ge me sured must not exceed 0.75 volt RMS, which is, corresponds to 0.5mA. In c se ny

me surement is out of the limits specified, there is possibility of shock h z rd nd the set must be checked nd rep ired

before it is returned to the customer.
