MODEM APPROVAL REQUIREMENTS
This equipment contains a modem which has been approved in
accordance with Council Decision 98/482/EC-CTR21 for pan-
European single terminal connection to the Public Switched
TelephoneNetwork(PSTN). However,duetodifferencesbetween
individual PSTNs provided in different countries, the approval
doesnot,ofitself,giveanunconditionalassuranceofsuccessful
operationoneveryPSTNnetworkterminationpoint.

INSTALLATION
The mains plug on this equipment is intended to serve as the

2.1 Introduction
In order to achieve the best impression, your IJ-25 requires an
evensurfaceonwhichtoprint,thereforeonbulkyorunevenitems
correctfoldingofthecontentswillhelpconsiderably.
It is sometimes unavoidable that your document will contain
staples,paperclipsandother fixings. The machine will accept
these,butitisrecommendedthatthefixingsaresituatedatthe
bottomoftheenvelope. Thiswillavoidtheriskofdamagetoyour
printinghead.
In the event that a satisfactory print cannot be achieved due to
bulkycontents(Max.8mm)theenvelopeshouldbetreatedasa
packet and a label used.
It isrecommended thatthe IJ-25 is leftpowered on at alltimes.
Thiswillassistinmaintainingprintquality. Intheeventthatyou
havepowerthemachinedown,pleasewaitforoneminuteafter
performingthelastoperationbeforeremovingthepower.
2.2 Gettingstarted
Set the switch on the power supply outlet to the OFF position,
connectthepowerunittothepowersupplyoutletandtheother
endtothe D.C.inputsocket( )at the backofthemachine.
NowsettheswitchonthepoweroutletsockettoON.
Whenthemachineisready,thefollowingdisplayswillbeobserved:

Tounlockthemachine,entertheuserPIN.
If using the machine for the first time, the Factory default
user PIN is set to 1 2 3 4.
TochangeordisabletheuserPIN,pleaseseesection"SETUP
MODE"(bydisablingtheuserPIN,themachinewillbeaccessi-
bletoalluser’s).
