WARNINGS FOR THE INSTALLER

the product while it is operating.
22. Keep radio controls or other pulse generators
away from children, to prevent the automated
system from being activated involuntarily.
23. Transit is allowed only when the automation
is fully open.
24. The User must not attempt any kind of repair
or direct action whatever and contact qualified
personnel only.
25. Anything not expressly specified in these
instructions is not permitted.
1. ATTENTION! To ensure the safety of people,
it is important that you read all the following
instructions. Incorrect installation or incorrect
use of the product could cause serious harm
to people.
2. Carefully read the instructions before begin-
ning to install the product.
3. Do not leave packing materials (plastic,
polystyrene, etc.) within reach of children
as such materials are potential sources of
danger.
4. Store the instructions for future reference.
5. This product was designed and built strictly for
the use indicated in this documentation. Any
other use, not expressly indicated here, could
compromise the good condition/operation of
the product and/or be a source of danger.
6. FAAC S.p.A. declines all liability caused by
improper use or use other than that for which
the automated system was intended.
7. Do not install the equipment in an explosive
atmosphere: the presence of inflammable gas
or fumes is a serious danger to safety.
8. FAAC S.p.A. is not responsible for failure to
observe Good Technique in the construction
of the closing elements to be motorised, or for
any deformation that may occur during use.
9. The installation must conform to Stan-
dards EN 12453 and EN 12445.
For non-EU countries, to obtain an adequate
level of safety, the Standards mentioned abo-
ve must be observed, in addition to national
legal regulations.
10. Before attempting any job on the system,
cut out electrical power and disconnect the
batteries if present.
11. The mains power supply of the automated
system must be fitted with an all-pole switch
with contact opening distance of 3mm or gre-
ater. Use of a 6A thermal breaker with all-pole
circuit break is recommended.

1. CONNECTION
To use the remote programmer with FAAC S.p.A.-
C850 motor, connect the programmer throught the
RJ45 cable to the JX OMRON inverter.
If the display shows:
COM ERROR
Then push at the same time the following buttons:
The display will show:
01 : Type 1 (MX2, 3G3RX, 3G3LX)
02 : Type 2 (RX, JX)
Select Type 2.
Push ENTER button
Push ESC button
The programmer is now ready to start.
2. OPERATION KEY
The display will show:

REMOTE
It changes from Local to Remote mode. Press the key
during 2 seconds to change from Local to Remote or
Remote to Local. When it is in Local the OPE led will be
ON. Use Local to control the motor with LCD digital
operator keys (Run Fwd, Run Rev and Stop/Reset).

READ
It transfers inverter parameters to the LCD digital operator’s
memory. (Refer to chapter 4.3 for more details.)

WRITE
It copies one Parameter Set saved in LCD digital operator to the
inverter. (Refer to chapter 4 for more details.)

ESC
It returns to the above layer.

ENTER
It jumps to the below layer or stores the change introduced
on the edit layer (after that it jumps to the above layer).

UP
It is used to move up the cursor, it increases a function code
in 1 or increases a parameter value.

DOWN
It is used to move down the cursor, it decreases a function
code in 1 or it decreases a value.
8 LEFT
CURSOR
It is used to move the cursor to the left or it moves to
previous mode when the display is at navigation level.
9 RIGHT
CURSOR
It is used to move the cursor to the right, or it moves to the
next mode when the display is at navigation level.

FWD RUN
It is used to run forward the motor only when the operation
command (A002) is set in Digital operator.
(Check KEY ENABLED LED)

REV RUN
It is used to run reverse the motor only when the operation
command (A002) is set in Digital operator
(Check KEY ENABLED LED)
12 STOP/RESET It is used to stop the motor or reset an alarm.

Read Lock
Set “Read Lock” enable to disable, in order
to protect the parameter saved in LCD digi-
tal operator from being overwritten.

When LCD digital operator remains without

will be turned off. When a key is pressed it

The Backlight Auto-Off function does not

4. OPTION MODE
- Connect the Remote Programmer.
- The display will show: FM 0000.0Hz
- Push LOCAL REMOTE button:
until the LED is ON.
- Then push at the same time the following but-
tons:

02: Quad or 01: Single
- Choose 01: Single to program the inverter’s
parameters.
- Choose 02: Quad for Backup/Restore the inver-
ter’s parameter set.
- Choosing 01: Single, make possible to modify
and program the inverter parameters on the fly.
- Choosing 02: Quad, make possible to Backup
the inverter’s parameter set into the program-
mer’s memory or restore the inverter’s memory
from a previously saved set.
4.1 SINGLE STORAGE MODE
- Push button:
and select 01: Single to program the inverter’s
parameters.
Example: modify parameter
A020 to value 30
- The display will show: FM 0000.0Hz
- Push ESC button:
- The display will show: >d001 FM
- Push NEXT PAGE button:
- Select and change the first LETTER of the pa-
rameter >A001

into the location 1 of the non-volatile program-
mer’s memory (available for the future, in case
of re-programming the same or another inverter).
- At the end of programming, push ESC button:

4.3 QUAD STORAGE MODE WRITE

- Connect the Remote Programmer.
