Smart Monitor

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

CAUTION: Federal (USA) Law restricts this device to sale by or on the order

of a physician.

DEVICE DESCRIPTION

The device consists of a Smart Monitor, Model Number: “SMART” (Re-order number SMART-XX)

to be used with the DyeVert™ Plus Disposable Kit, DyeVert™ Plus EZ Disposable Kit or the DyeTect™

Contrast Monitoring Disposable Kit during controlled infusion for procedures requiring injection of

contrast. The Smart Monitor allows for monitoring and display of contrast volumes manually injected.

The contrast monitoring system will measure and display the cumulative injection volume

delivered to the patient with an accuracy of +/-10%.

Monitoring of contrast administration should not be used for diagnostic or therapeutic decisions.

INTENDED USE

The device consists of a Smart Monitor to be used with the DyeVert Plus Disposable Kit, DyeVert

Plus EZ Disposable Kit or the DyeTect Contrast Monitoring Disposable Kit during controlled

infusion for procedures requiring injection of contrast media. The Smart Monitor allows for real-

time monitoring and display of contrast volumes manually injected.

INDICATION FOR USE

The device consists of a Smart Monitor to be used with the DyeVert Plus Disposable Kit, DyeVert

Plus EZ Disposable Kit or the DyeTect Contrast Monitoring Disposable Kit during angiographic

or CT procedures requiring controlled infusion of radiopaque contrast media.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Do not use with power injectors.

WARNINGS

Disposables are for single use only. Do not reuse, reprocess or resterilize. Reuse, reprocessing

or resterilization may create a risk of patient infection which could lead to injury, illness or death.

Do not use if product packaging appears compromised. If the product and/or packaging appears

to be tampered with, please do not use and contact Osprey Medical.

Do not use Smart Monitor if the display housing is broken, contact Osprey Medical. Cosmetic

scratches do not pose a risk.

The Smart Monitor is supplied non-sterile and is reusable.

The Smart Monitor is intended to be used with the DyeVert Plus Disposable Kit, DyeVert Plus

EZ Disposable Kit or the DyeTect Contrast Monitoring Disposable Kit only. No substitutions

should be made for Osprey Medical System components.

The Smart Monitor Lightening™ Dock port is not intended for user access. Access is to be

performed by Osprey Medical personnel, and Smart Monitor charging connection.

The Smart Monitor Osprey Settings defines system parameters which are not inputted by users;

and users do not have access. Access is intended only by

Medical representative.

Prior to using the Smart Monitor, please ensure all labeling of compatible devices being used

(such as the DyeVert Plus EZ Disposable Kit) is followed. This may include, but is not limited to,

considerations regarding type of procedure, patient population or contrast agents.

Please refer to the contrast agent Instructions for Use and Labeling for dosage

recommendations, warnings, contraindications, detail of reported adverse event types and

detailed directions for use associated with contrast administration.

No modification of the Smart Monitor is allowed.

The Smart Monitor will only run the Osprey DyeVert app and non-Osprey apps approved for

download by Osprey Medical. The Smart Monitor will only work with Osprey Medical disposable

devices. The location of the Smart Monitor is tracked electronically.

Portable and mobile RF communications equipment may affect the devices. The Smart Monitor

should not be used adjacent to or stacked with other equipment. If adjacent or stacked use is

necessary, the Smart Monitor should be observed to verify normal operation.

Use of accessories, transducers and cables other than those specified or provided by Osprey

Medical, Inc. could result in increased electromagnetic emissions or decreased electromagnetic

immunity of this equipment and result in improper operation.

Portable RF communications equipment (including peripherals such as antenna cables and

external antennas) should be used no closer than 30 cm (12 inches) to any part of the Smart

Monitor or disposables, including cables specified by the manufacturer. Otherwise, degradation

of the performance of this equipment could result.

Electrostatic Discharge interference has been observed at the home button of the Smart Monitor

causing screen flicker.

If performance of the system is lost or degraded due to electromagnetic interference, the

procedure may continue without contrast monitoring.

PRECAUTIONS

In the event the device malfunctions or changes in performance that is not expected,

discontinue use of disposables immediately and report experience to Osprey Medical

representative. In the event contrast monitoring is not available, the procedure may continue

without contrast monitoring. If the incident is considered reportable (e.g. serious) by the

regulating authority, please ensure the incident is also reported to the qualifying regulatory

authority.

Using the Smart Monitor off-label may result in undesired affects such as no contrast

monitoring.

Do not perform an iPadOS or software update immediately prior to a case as the update may

require an extended time to update depending on WiFi connection and size of update.

As with any device used for injecting contrast into a patient, care should be taken to assure all

air has been removed from the lines, prior to injection, to avoid air embolization.

The DyeVert Plus Disposable Kit and DyeVert Plus EZ Disposable Kit is designed to be used

with non-diluted, room temperature (non-warmed) contrast only.

For accurate Smart Syringe % contrast concentration values, ensure system is initially primed

with 100% contrast and the contrast source is 100% contrast.

Be cautious to not over-tighten on luer connections when connecting Osprey Medical disposable

components to a manifold. And do not over tighten monitor clamp to IV pole.

The Osprey Medical disposable components should not be immersed in contrast or saline.

The Smart Monitor should not be immersed for cleaning.

The Smart Monitor should only be connected to the power supply with the Osprey Medical

supplied power cord. Do not modify or change the supplied power cord.

Osprey Medical recommends users follow hospital policy/procedure and physician

recommendation on the appropriate total cumulative volume of contrast used in a patient. The

Smart Monitor is not intended to prevent manual injection of contrast. The graphical range

indicator displayed when a threshold is entered is not representative of a recommended contrast

dosage.

User should ensure the Smart Monitor dwell time (1/2 second) is reached prior to Smart Syringe

aspiration and if needed, contact Osprey Medical to adjust dwell time to align with user

preference. Inaccurate cumulative volume may be displayed if aspiration occurs prior to dwell

time being reached.

When using a threshold, the physician entered threshold volume should take into consideration

renal function through estimated GFR or exogenous measured GFR in cases where an

estimated GFR may be inaccurate (i.e. extreme body size, ethnicity, race, sex, age, muscle

mass, unusual dietary intake, pregnant women etc.).

Although very unlikely to occur it is recommended to not touch the Smart Monitor or DC power

supply (USB power adapter) while in direct contact with the patient to avoid the possibility of

leakage current being transmitted to the patient.

POTENTIAL PATIENT ADVERSE EVENTS

Refer to the Instructions for Use and Labeling for the contrast agent being used for a detailed

list of reported adverse events.

CYBERSECURITY

Refer to the Osprey Medical Wireless Security and Measures

Manual, p/n 8299, for detailed information regarding Quality of

Service and Wireless/Bluetooth security.

Osprey Medical utilizes Mobile Device Management (MDM) on the Smart Monitor. The MDM

setup allows for configuring the iPadOS device’s WiFi settings, locking the wallpaper, hiding

iPadOS apps in the launcher except for Settings and desired apps, and preventing iPadOS

notifications. Other MDM capabilities include: locking, locating and wiping iPadOS devices,

locking an app into “Kiosk” mode so that the user cannot leave the Osprey application during a

case, and preventing iPads from being accessed via a lightning cable. MDM is used to lock down

various iPadOS features and settings. For example, the Osprey Smart Monitor is specially

configured to only allow certain apps to be available to the user and sets restrictions on what the

user can change in settings. The user is not required to take additional steps After applying the

MDM setup configuration, the Smart Monitor users only have access to the following features:

DyeVert Plus app, eGFR Calculator app, Settings app (with restrictions via MDM).

In the case of a security failure to the system, the following may occur: loss of monitoring

capability and/or incorrect reporting of contrast injected. If these events occur, the user may

continue to use the disposables for contrast injection without modifications. A security failure will

not cause an inadvertent or independent contrast injection. If a security failure occurs, please

contact Osprey Medical.

Wireless Quality of Service

The smart monitor utilizes Wi-Fi of an iPad mini to communicate with mobile device management

(MDM) and amazon web services (AWS). These communications are not critical to the

procedure as this device is not required to be connected to Wi-Fi before, during or after a case.

The Smart Monitor is for real-time monitoring and display of contrast volumes manually injected

which does not require a Wi-Fi connection. The smart monitor has memory to store all data in

onboard non-volatile memory. Thus, if a period where the smart monitor is unable to

communicate with AWS occurs, the device will store this data and communicate it to AWS as

soon as a connection can be established. With respect to the loss of data due to limited quality

of service, the system provides for confirmation logs that all data have been communicated from

the smart monitor to AWS.

HOW SUPPLIED

The Smart Monitor is provided non-sterile.

STORAGE

Storage conditions for the Smart Monitor:

Temp = -20°C (-4°F) to 45°C (113°F)

Humidity = 5% to 95%, noncondensing

MAINTENANCE and REPAIR

Maintenance is not required. Contact Osprey Medical if Smart Monitor repairs are required.

DISPOSAL

The Smart Monitor should not be disposed of by the user. Contact Osprey Medical to arrange

for shipment of the Smart Monitor for disposal.

CLEANING SMART MONITOR

To clean the Smart Monitor, unplug all cables and turn off Smart Monitor (press and hold the

Sleep/Wake button, and then slide the onscreen slider). Use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth.

Avoid getting moisture in openings. Clean the Smart Monitor, power supply and power cord in

accordance with hospital policy and procedure with Super Sani-Cloth (or equivalent). The Smart

Monitor has an oleophobic coating on the screen. The ability of this coating to repel oil will

diminish over time with normal usage, and rubbing the screen with an abrasive material will

further diminish its effect and may scratch your screen.

OPERATING ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS

The system is intended to be used in a standard hospital Cath lab environment under the

following conditions:

Temperature: 10°C to 27°C (50°F to 80°F)

Relative humidity 5% to 85%, noncondensing

The system is not intended be used near active high frequency surgical equipment where the

intensity of electromagnetic disturbances is high.

MRI SAFTEY INFORMATION

The Smart Monitor is MR UNSAFE. Keep it outside the MRI Scanner room.

PHYSICIAN TRAINING INFORMATION

Qualified physicians should be knowledgeable with Cath lab procedures, techniques and

contrast usage.

No additional special skills or training is required to operate the Smart Monitor but physicians

should be thoroughly familiar with the Smart Monitor and compatible disposables, and

supporting material including all product labeling. Physicians may contact Osprey Medical to

request product review.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE

The Smart Monitor provides the user access to the Osprey Medical Contrast Monitoring app

interface, eGFR calculator app and iPadOS setting app. The user can choose the Contrast

Monitoring App interface style. The eGFR calculator downloaded is provided by the National

Kidney Foundation (copyrighted 2015). Updates to the Contrast Monitoring app, eGFR calculator

app and iPadOS setting app is controlled through software version updates.

Contrast Montoring App Overview

The Contrast Monitoring app main screen provides a pictorial representation fo the DyeVert Plus

Disposable Kit or the DyeVert Plus EZ Disposable Kit. If using the DyeTect Contrast Monitoring

Disposable Kit, the Smart Monitor will automatically recognize the disposables upon selection of

“New Case”.

The Contrast Monitoring app on the Smart Monitor allows the user to enter a physician

specified threshold volume for the intended maximum contrast volume administered to the

patient.

During a case the Smart Monitor displays

 “Last Injection, mL” (volume of last individual injection)

 “Cumulative, mL” (total volume injected)

 Triple toggle for:

- If applicable, “Contrast Saved, %” (% contrast saved on last injection)

- If applicable, “Contrast Saved (Avg) %” (Cumulative % of contrast saved during

procedure)

- “Contrast in Syringe, %” (e.g. 90% indicates 90% contrast & 10% saline/other mix)

 As applicable “Remaining Threshold” (contrast volume remaining relative to the physician-

specified threshold) with graphical threshold indicator. When ‘0’ is entered for threshold the

remaining threshold & graphical threshold indicator is not displayed.

Below is one of the optional user interfaces for the Contrast Monitoring app case screen. Swipe

left during case for alternative option.

CASE SCREEN

The Smart Monitor is not intended for indefinite continuous use and should be powered down

periodically (recommend weekly). To power down the Smart Monitor depress and hold the

“On/Off” button on the end of the Smart Monitor. Confirm power down by swiping the screen

when prompted.

The Smart Monitor connects to the main power supply receptacle via a DC power supply cord

and plug. To disconnect the Smart Monitor, remove the plug from the receptacle. The Smart

Monitor should be located such that it is not difficult to unplug from the receptacle.

Smart Monitor Set-up and User Settings

- Remove the Smart Monitor and the DC Power Supply from protective packaging.

- Mount the Smart Monitor to a standard IV Pole or horizontal bed rail (10mm x 25mm)

using the integral clamp on the back of the Smart Monitor.

- Verify that the IV pole is stable when the Smart Monitor is mounted to it.

- Plug Smart Monitor DC power supply into an appropriate outlet. (100-240V-0.5A(0,5A)

50-60Hz. The monitor may need time to fully charge prior to use. Do not unplug when in

use.

- Push Power On button (end of Smart Display) and release.

- Push the Home Button and enter “000000” as the passcode to

access the Smart Monitor.

Settings App Overview

Optional: Enable WiFi

Enabling WiFi allows the system to automatically download Osprey Medical DyeVert app,

iPadOS updates (including cybrsecurity) as they become available. It also allows case log data

to be uploaded for analysis to assist in software development and complaint handling. All data

on the Smart Monitor are encrypted with AES-256 while at rest on the Smart Monitor. Transport

layer security (TLS) is used to encrypt the data during transfer to Amazon Web Service (AWS),

and AES-256 encryption secures the data at rest on AWS. For additional information contact

Osprey Medical. It is recommended to use WPA2 or higher Wi-Fi encryption.

To enable WiFi

 Open iPadOS settings app

 Select WiFi

 Select WiFi network

 Enter WiFi network password

 Select WPA2 or higher

 Exit system settings and return to desktop

Note: Do not perform an iPadOS or software update immediately prior to a case as the update

may require an extended time to update depending on WiFi connection and size of update.

Monitor Date & Time Settings

The Smart Monitor is pre-configured for automatic date and time. For automatic date and time

settings to work, Wi-Fi must be enabled. If the Smart Monitor is not on Wi-Fi and/or it is desired

to set the date and time manually, then:

 Open iPadOS settings app

 Select General

 Select Date & Time

 Disable Set Automatically

 Select the date and time and set to the desired date and time

 Exit system settings and return to desktop

All commands that are native to iPadOS and accessible via standard iPadOS commands are

visible to the user; however, not all commands will be accessible due to the limitation of the

Osprey Medical software and MDM Profile.

Contrast Montoring App Use

Select Contrast Monitoring app by touching the DyeVert Plus icon.

APP HOME SCREEN

The default Main Menu will appear and depicts the setup for a DyeVert Plus EZ Disposable Kit.

For a depiction of the DyeVert Plus Disposable Kit setup select the arrow or finger swipe the

screen. If using the DyeTect Contrast Monitoring Disposable Kit, the Smart Monitor will

automatically recognize the disposables upon selection of “New Case”.

a. Instruction Videos

1) To view a instructional video for setup and priming either the DyeVert Plus Disposable

Kit or DyeVert Plus EZ Disposable Kit, select “Setup”.

2) Select DyeVert type (DyeVert Plus or DyeVert Plus EZ).

3) Select manifold type

The appropriate video will automatically start using a built-in iPadOS media player with standard

video controls. The media player will automatically close once the video is complete. The video

may be exited at any time using the exit button in the top left corner.

b. Settings

1) From Main Menu, select Settings This is only necessary if changes to the default User

Settings are desired. Access to Osprey Settings is intended to occur by an Osprey

Medical representative only.

To configure User Settings select applicable parameter:

3) Select Tone Selection to specify type of tones desired.

4) Threshold Warning % (applicable only when a Physican-Specified Threshold is entered)

specifies the percentage of the entered threshold volume reached during the case that

will trigger the warning to the user e.g. a threshold of 100mL is entered and a 66%

Threshold Warning is selected. The Display would warn the user when 66mL (66% of

100mL) is reached. Default is 66% of the Physican-Specified Threshold volume.

5) Select Pause Voice Alert to disable or enable. When enabled, will provide a voice alert

each time the system has been paused to contrast accounting and when the system is

resumed (becomes active) to contrast accounting.

6) Select Start in Pause Mode, to disable or enable. When enabled, allows the user to start

the case in Pause Mode. The user must manually unpause the system to begin contrast

accounting by pressing the Pause Button on the module or by aspirating contrast into the

Smart Syringe.

7) Select Pause Lock, to disable or enable. When enabled, the system bypasses all

pause/resume logic in the software. The system will only pause and resume when

initiated by the user by pressing the Pause Button on the DyeVert Plus Module / DyeVert

Plus EZ Module / DyeTect Module or the corresponding soft touch key on the Display.

8) Select Case ID and Renal Function, to disable or enable. When enabled, the user may

enter a case identifier, estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR), Serum Creatinine

(SCr) & units (mg/dL or mol/L) and/or Creatinine Clearance (CrCl).

9) Case History allows the user to view case summary information

At anytime the Smart Monitor screen is in sleep mode or powered down, to continue push the

Home Button and enter “000000” as the passcode to access the Smart Monitor.

c. New Case

Ensure the power supply is connected to mains power and power-on Smart Monitor. The Smart

Monitor will function without being connected to the mains power, but it is not recommended.

1) Assemble disposables to applicable Cath lab components (e.g. manifold) and perform

priming per standard Cath lab procedure and the disposable Instructions for Use.

2) From the Main Menu select New Case.

If Case ID and Renal Function was enabled in User Settings then enter information

desired to be stored in the case database, select “Next” and confirm the information

entered is correct. Once the data entered is confirmed the Smart Monitor will scan for

available disposable devices to connect with.

If Case ID and Renal Function was disabled in User Settings then the Smart Monitor will

scan for available disposable devices to connect to.

3) Remove battery pull tabs from disposables.

Note: It is recommended to leave all battery pull tabs in the disposable devices until all

priming is complete and the case is ready to begin. This will ensure maximum battery life

and performance throughout the case.

4) Confirm wireless connection of the Smart Monitor with the selected disposables.

Following scanning, the LEDs on the disposables will flash in the same pattern as shown

on the Smart Monitor for proper identification. ENSURE that the flashing LED pattern on

the disposable matches the corresponding flashing pattern on the Smart Monitor. Failure

to confirm pattern could allow the Smart Monitor to connect to disposables intended to be

connected to a different Smart Monitor.

 Select Yes on the Smart Monitor to confirm Syringe flashing pattern.

 Select Yes on the Smart Monitor to confirm Module flashing pattern.

Note: Selecting No will result in further scanning.

Note: When the device is connected to the Smart Monitor, the green LED on the

disposable device will remain on for 10 seconds.

Alternate Wireless Connection Confirmation

Confirmation of connection of the Smart Monitor to the module disposables can be accomplished

by pressing the pause button of the disposable if available; and confirmation of connection to

the Smart Syringe can be accomplished by moving the plunger > 2 mL.

5) Enter Physician Specified Threshold Volume: Enter value (mL) for physician specified

threshold volume or “0” for no threshold.

DO NOT select Start Case until device priming is completed.

6) Start Case

ENSURE ALL PRIMING IS COMPLETED BEFORE PRESSING Start Case.

Recommend to not press Start Case until just prior to first injection of contrast to the

patient.

 Select Start Case to begin contrast accounting.

 Perform procedure.

Pause/Resume System Operation

When system is in “Pause” mode, cumulative contrast accounting is suspended. “Resume”

mode allows contrast accounting.

If contrast is injected back to the source, the system does NOT need to be paused. The system

will automatically recognize this as not being administered to the patient.

Contrast Accounting Accuracy Tips:

 Ensure system is Paused if contrast is not being injected to patient.

 Ensure system is Active (unpaused) when contrast is being injected to patient.



Ensure the minimum dwell time (1/2 second) is achieved between aspirations

of contrast and saline

End Case

1) Select End Case and confirm “Yes”

Caution: Ending case will permanently disable communication between the Smart Monitor

and disposables.

Caution: End Case must be selected prior to powering down the Smart Monitor or starting a

new case.. Powering down Smart Monitor before ending case, or starting a new case without

ending case, may lead to inaccurate accounting on next patient case. If the Smart Monitor is

powered down prior to ending case and it has been less than 2 hours the Smart Monitor will ask

if the user would like to continue the case that was in progress prior to powering down.

After End Case is selected, a Case Summary screen appears showing cumulative volume of

contrast administered to patient and % of physician specified threshold. If utilizing the DyeVert

Plus or DyeVert Plus EZ, contrast saved (mL and %) will also display.

To view summaries of previous cases, from Main Menu select Settings, User Settings, Case

History.

System Discontinuation- Smart Monitor

From Main Menu, press and hold the power button on the side of the Smart Monitor until

iPadOS power down indicator displays, then swipe as indicated on the screen.

System Discontinuation- Disposables

The Module disposables and Smart Syringe contain alkaline batteries. Discard Smart Syringe,

Module disposable and single-use contrast source according to hospital procedures.

Follow local governing ordinances regarding disposal. Do not incinerate as the enclosed

batteries may explode at excessive temperatures.

f. Case Management and Modifications

LOW OR NO BATTERY WARNING

The Module disposable and Smart Syringe contain batteries. Battery level icons are displayed

in the status bar as green (OK), yellow (low- approximately 20 minutes remaining) or red

(depleted). A warning will appear on the screen with a depiction of the disposable and a

countdown timer when the disposable has 5 minutes of battery life remaining.

SYRINGE 5 MIN BATTERY WARNING SCREEN

When the battery of the disposable is depleted in full the Smart Monitor will automatically require

the user to replace the disposable or end the case.

SYRINGE BATTERY DEPLETED WARNING SCREEN

DISPOSABLE REPLACEMENT

During a case, the Smart Syringe or Module disposable may be replaced for any reason.

1) From the Case Screen select New (Syringe) or New (Module). The Smart Monitor will

request confirmation of the replacement.

2) Confirm Yes to replace or No to cancel. If Yes is selected the system will begin scanning

for the new disposable.

3) Physically replace the disposable

4) Prime the disposable DO NOT PULL BATTERY TAB OF DISPOSABLE UNTIL

PRIMING IS COMPLETED. System will continue scanning until a connection is made.

5) Pull battery tab of new disposable and confirm wireless connection.

BLUETOOTH DISCONNECT EVENTS

If the disposable device temporarily loses Bluetooth connection, the system will automatically

TEMPORARY LOST CONNECTION SCREEN

If the disposable device permanently loses Bluetooth connection and the connection can not be

re-established, contrast accounting will continue to be suspended and the user is notified of the

disconnect event.

The user has the option to end the case or replace the disposable. If the disposable is not

replaced and DyeVert Plus or DyeVert Plus EZ is being used the case may continue with contrast

savings but without contrast accounting. If the disposable is not replaced when a connection

cannot be re-established, the user can manually track remaining injections and add the

additional contrast amount injected to the cumulative total.

VERWENDUNGSZWECK

Das Gerät besteht aus einem Smart Monitor, der für die Verwendung mit dem DyeVert Plus

INDIKATIONEN

Das Gerät besteht aus einem Smart Monitor, der für die Verwendung mit dem DyeVert Plus

Einwegkit, DyeVert Plus EZ Einwegkit oder dem Einwegkit DyeTect bei angiographischen oder

CT-Verfahren vorgesehen ist, die die Infusion von röntgenopaken Kontrastmitteln erfordern.

GEGENANZEIGEN

Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht mit Power Injektoren.

WARNHINWEISE

Einwegartikel dürfen nur einmal verwendet werden. Nicht wiederverwenden, wiederaufbereiten

oder erneut sterilisieren. Bei Wiederverwendung, Wiederaufbereitung oder erneuter

Sterilisierung kann es zu einer Infektion des Patienten kommen, die zu Verletzungen,

Erkrankung oder Tod des Patienten führen kann.

Nicht verwenden, wenn die Produktverpackung beschädigt ist. Falls das Produkt und/oder die

Verpackung augenscheinlich manipuliert wurden, das Produkt nicht verwenden und an Osprey

Medical wenden.

Den Smart Monitor nicht verwenden, wenn das Displaygehäuse beschädigt ist. In diesem Fall

an Osprey Medical wenden. Kosmetische Kratzer stellen kein Risiko dar.

Der Smart Monitor wird unsteril geliefert und ist wiederverwendbar.

Der Smart Monitor ist ausschließlich für die Verwendung mit dem DyeVert Plus Einwegkit,

DyeVert Plus EZ Einwegkit oder dem DyeTect Einwegkit zur Kontrastmittelüberwachung

vorgesehen. Die oben beschriebenen Komponenten des Osprey Medical-Systems dürfen nicht

durch andere Komponenten ersetzt werden.

Der Smart Monitor Lightening™ Dockanschluss ist nicht für den Zugriff durch den Benutzer

vorgesehen. Der Zugriff ist für das Personal von Osprey Medical und für den Ladeanschluss des

Smart Monitors vorgesehen.

Die Osprey Einstellungen des Smart Monitors definieren die Systemparameter, die nicht vom

Benutzer eingegeben werden. Benutzer haben keinen Zugriff auf Systemparameter. Der Zugriff

ist ausschließlich für medizinisches Fachpersonal vorgesehen.

Vor der Verwendung des Smart Monitors muss sichergestellt werden, dass alle Etikettierungen

der verwendeten kompatiblen Geräte (wie z. B. des DyeVert Plus EZ Einwegkits) befolgt

werden. Diese Informationen enthalten u. a. Angaben zur Art des Verfahrens, zur

Patientengruppe oder zum Kontrastmittel.

Empfehlungen zur Dosierung, Warnhinweise, Informationen zu den Gegenanzeigen und den

Arten von unerwünschten Ereignissen sowie eine Anleitung zur Kontrastmittelgabe entnehmen

Sie der Gebrauchsanweisung und der Etikettierung des Kontrastmittels.

Es dürfen keinerlei Änderungen am Smart Monitor vorgenommen werden.

Auf dem Smart Monitor dürfen ausschließlich die Osprey DyeVert-App und von Osprey Medical

zum Herunterladen zugelassene Apps Dritter ausgeführt werden. Der Smart Monitor wird

ausschließlich mit Einweggeräten von Osprey Medical betrieben. Der Standort des Smart

Monitors wird elektronisch überwacht.

Tragbare und mobile HF-Kommunikationsgeräte können diese Geräte beeinträchtigen. Der

Smart Monitor sollte nicht in der Nähe von anderen Vorrichtungen oder auf anderen

Vorrichtungen stehend verwendet werden. Sollte der Betrieb in der Nähe von anderen

Vorrichtungen oder auf anderen Vorrichtungen stehend erforderlich sein, muss der Smart

Monitor zur Sicherstellung des ordnungsgemäßen Betriebs überprüft werden.

Die Verwendung anderer als der von Osprey Medical, Inc. angegebenen oder bereitgestellten

Zubehörteile, Messumformer und Kabel kann zu erhöhten elektromagnetischen Emissionen

oder einer verringerten elektromagnetischen Immunität dieses Geräts und somit zu einem

beeinträchtigen Betrieb führen.

Beim Verwenden von tragbaren HF-Kommunikationsvorrichtungen (einschließlich

An der Starttaste des Smart Monitors wurden elektrostatische Entladungsstörungen beobachtet,

die zu Bildschirmflackern führen.

Wenn die Leistung des Systems aufgrund elektromagnetischer Störungen beeinträchtigt ist,

kann das Verfahren ohne Kontrastmittelüberwachung fortgesetzt werden.

VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN

Die Verwendung von Einwegartikeln sofort einstellen, falls das Gerät eine Fehlfunktion

aufweist oder sich die Leistung unerwartet verändert, und den Vorfall dem Vertreter von

Osprey Medical mitteilen. Falls die Kontrastüberwachung nicht verfügbar ist, kann der Vorgang

ohne Kontrastüberwachung fortgesetzt werden. Wenn der Vorfall von der

Regulierungsbehörde als meldepflichtig (z. B. schwerwiegend) eingestuft wird, bitte

sicherstellen, dass der Vorfall auch der zuständigen Regulierungsbehörde gemeldet wird.

Die zulassungsüberschreitende Verwendung des Smart Monitor kann zu unerwünschten

Wirkungen führen, z. B. zu fehlender Kontrastüberwachung.

Ein iPadOS- oder Software-Update nicht unmittelbar vor einem Fall durchführen, da das Update

abhängig von der WiFi-Verbindung und der Größe des Updates möglicherweise eine längere

Aktualisierungszeit erfordert.

Wie bei allen Geräten zur Kontrastmittelinjektion in einen Patienten muss vor der Injektion

sichergestellt sein, dass sich in den Leitungen keine Luft befindet, um eine Luftembolie zu

vermeiden.

Das DyeVert Plus Einwegkit und DyeVert Plus EZ Einwegkit sind ausschließlich für den Einsatz

mit unverdünnten, der Raumtemperatur entsprechenden (nicht erwärmt) Kontrastmitteln

vorgesehen.

Um genaue Kontrastmittelkonzentrationswerte (%) für die Smart Syringe zu erreichen, muss das

System vorab mit 100 % Kontrastmittel befüllt werden und die Kontrastmittelquelle 100 %

Kontrastmittel beinhalten.

Achten Sie darauf, dass Sie beim Anschließen der Einwegkomponenten von Osprey Medical an

einen Verteiler die Luer-Verbindungen nicht zu fest anziehen. Die Monitorklemme nicht zu fest

am Infusionsständer anziehen.

Die Einwegkomponenten von Osprey Medical sollten nicht in Kontrastmittel oder Salzlösung

getaucht werden.

Der Smart Monitor darf zur Reinigung nicht in Flüssigkeit getaucht werden.

Der Smart Monitor sollte ausschließlich mit dem von Osprey Medical mitgelieferten Netzkabel

an der Stromversorgung angeschlossen werden. Das im Lieferumfang enthaltene Netzkabel

nicht modifizieren oder verändern.

Osprey Medical empfiehlt Benutzern, die Krankenhausrichtlinien und -verfahren sowie ärztliche

Empfehlungen zum angemessenen kumulativen Gesamtvolumen des in einen Patienten

injizierten Kontrastmittels zu befolgen. Der Smart Monitor soll nicht die manuelle Injektion von

Kontrastmitteln verhindern. Die grafische Bereichsanzeige wird bei Eingabe eines

Schwellenwerts angezeigt, der nicht einer empfohlenen Kontrastmitteldosis entspricht.

Der Benutzer muss sicherstellen, dass die Verweilzeit (0,5 Sekunden) des Smart Monitors vor

der Aspiration der Smart Syringe erreicht wird. Kontaktieren Sie bei Bedarf Osprey Medical, um

die Verweilzeit an die Benutzerpräferenzen anzupassen. Wenn die Aspiration vor Erreichen der

Verweilzeit ausgeführt wird, kann ein ungenaues kumulatives Volumen angezeigt werden.

Beim Verwenden eines Schwellenwerts sollte das vom Arzt eingegebene

Schwellenwertvolumen die Nierenfunktion in Bezug auf die geschätzte GFR oder exogen

gemessene GFR berücksichtigen, für den Fall, dass eine gemessene GFR ungenau sein sollte

(z. B. extrem große Körpergröße, ethnische Herkunft, Geschlecht, Alter, Muskelmasse,

ungewöhnliche Nahrungsaufnahme, Schwangere usw.).

Obwohl es äußert unwahrscheinlich ist, empfiehlt es sich trotzdem den Smart Monitor oder das

Gleichstromnetzteil (USB-Netzadapter) nicht zu berühren, während Sie direkten Kontakt zum

Patienten haben, um das Risiko einer Übertragung des Ableitstroms zum Patienten zu

vermeiden.

Osprey Medical verwendet Mobile Device Management (MDM) auf dem Smart Monitor. Die

MDM-Einrichtung ermöglicht die Konfiguration der WiFi-Einstellungen des iPadOS-Geräts, das

Sperren des Hintergrundbilds, das Ausblenden von iPadOS-Apps im Startprogramm mit

Ausnahme von Einstellungen und gewünschten Apps sowie das Verhindern von iPadOS-

Benachrichtigungen. Andere MDM-Funktionen umfassen: Sperren, Finden und Löschen von

iPadOS-Geräten, Sperren einer App im „Kiosk“ -Modus, damit der Benutzer die Osprey-

Anwendung während eines Falls nicht verlassen kann, und Verhindern des Zugriffs auf iPads

über ein Lightning-Kabel. Mit MDM werden verschiedene iPadOS-Funktionen und -

Einstellungen gesperrt. Beispielsweise ist der Osprey Smart Monitor speziell so konfiguriert,

dass nur bestimmte Apps für den Benutzer verfügbar sind, und es werden Einschränkungen

festgelegt, welche Einstellungen der Benutzer ändern kann. Der Benutzer muss keine weiteren

Schritte ausführen. Nach dem Anwenden der MDM-Einrichtungskonfiguration haben

Smart Monitor-Benutzer nur Zugriff auf die folgenden Funktionen: DyeVert Plus-App, eGFR-

Rechner-App, Einstellungs-App (mit Einschränkungen über MDM).

Im Falle eines Sicherheitsproblems im System kann Folgendes auftreten: Verlust der Fähigkeit

zur Überwachung und/oder falsche Meldungen zum injizierten Kontrastmittel. In diesem Fall

kann der Anwender die Einwegartikel zur Kontrastmittelinjektion weiterhin unverändert nutzen.

Ein Sicherheitsproblem löst keine eigenständige oder unbeabsichtigte Injektion von

Kontrastmitteln aus. Wenden Sie sich bei einem Sicherheitsproblem an Osprey Medical.

Drahtlos-Servicequalität

Der Smart Monitor nutzt das WiFi eines iPad mini, um mit Mobile Device Management (MDM)

und Amazon Web Services (AWS) zu kommunizieren. Diese Kommunikation ist für den Vorgang

nicht wichtig, da dieses Gerät vor, während oder nach einem Fall nicht mit WiFi verbunden sein

muss. Der Smart Monitor dient der Echtzeitüberwachung und Anzeige des manuell injizierten

Kontrastvolumens, für die keine WiFi-Verbindung erforderlich ist. Der Smart Monitor verfügt über

einen integrierten permanenten Speicher, in dem alle Daten gespeichert werden können. Wenn

es also vorkommt, dass der Smart Monitor eine Zeit lang nicht mit AWS kommunizieren kann,

speichert das Gerät diese Daten und übermittelt sie an AWS, sobald eine Verbindung hergestellt

werden kann. In Bezug auf den Datenverlust aufgrund der eingeschränkten Servicequalität

werden vom System Bestätigungsprotokolle erstellt, in denen angegeben ist, dass alle Daten

vom Smart Monitor an AWS übermittelt wurden.

REINIGUNG DES SMART MONITORS

Trennen Sie zum Reinigen des Smart Monitors alle Kabel und schalten Sie den Smart Monitor

aus (drücken und halten Sie die Taste „Sleep/Wake“ (Standby-Taste) und wischen Sie den

Schieber auf dem Bildschirm). Verwenden Sie ein weiches, leicht angefeuchtetes, fusselfreies

Tuch. Es darf keine Feuchtigkeit in Öffnungen gelangen. Den Smart Monitor, das Netzteil und

das Netzkabel in Übereinstimmung mit den Krankenhausrichtlinien und -verfahren mit Super

Sani-Cloth (oder einem gleichwertigen Produkt) reinigen. Auf dem Bildschirm des Smart

Monitors ist eine fettabweisende Beschichtung vorzufinden. Die fettabweisende Fähigkeit der

Beschichtung wird mit der Zeit bei normaler Verwendung nachlassen. Das Reiben am Bildschirm

mit einem Scheuermittel würde dies noch mehr unterstützen und den Bildschirm zerkratzen.

BETRIEBSUMGEBUNG UND -BEDINGUNGEN

Das System ist für die Verwendung in einer herkömmlichen Katheterlaborumgebung eines

Krankenhauses unter den folgenden Bedingungen vorgesehen:

Qualifizierte Ärzte sollten mit Katheterlaborverfahren, -techniken und der

Kontrastmittelverwendung vertraut sein.

Zum Betreiben des Smart Monitors sind keine zusätzlichen, besonderen Fähigkeiten oder

Schulungen erforderlich. Ärzte sollten jedoch mit dem Smart Monitor und den kompatiblen

Einwegartikeln sowie mit ergänzenden Materialien, einschließlich allen Produktetikettierungen

vertraut sein. Ärzte können sich zwecks einer Produktbesprechung an Osprey Medical wenden.

GEBRAUCHSANWEISUNG

Der Smart Monitor bietet dem Benutzer Zugriff auf die Osprey Medical App zur

Kontrastmittelüberwachung, auf die App zur Berechnung der eGFR und auf die App für iPadOS-

Einstellungen. Der Benutzer kann den Stil der Benutzeroberfläche der App zur

Kontrastmittelüberwachung anpassen. Der heruntergeladene eGFR-Rechner wird von der

National Kidney Foundation (Nationale Nierenstiftung der USA) (urheberrechtlich

geschützt 2015) bereitgestellt. Die App zur Kontrastmittelüberwachung, die eGFR-Rechner-App

und die App für iPadOS-Einstellungen werden durch Updates der Software-Version aktualisiert.

App zur Kontrastmittelüberwachung – Übersicht

Der Hauptbildschirm der App zur Kontrastmittelüberwachung bietet eine bildliche Darstellung

des DyeVert Plus Einwegkits oder des DyeVert Plus EZ Einwegkits. Beim Verwenden des

DyeTect Einwegkits zur Kontrastmittelüberwachung erkennt der Smart Monitor automatisch die

Einwegartikel, sobald „Neuer Fall“ ausgewählt wird.

Über die App zur Kontrastmittelüberwachung kann der Benutzer auf dem Smart Monitor einen

vom Arzt vorgegebenen Schwellenwert des Kontrastmittelvolumens für das maximal

beabsichtigte Kontrastmittelvolumen eingeben, das dem Patienten zugeführt werden soll.

Während eines Falls zeigt der Smart Monitor

 „Letzte Injektion, ml“ (Volumen der letzten Einzelinjektion) an

 „Kumulativ, ml“ (injiziertes Gesamtvolumen)

 Dreimal umschalten für:

- Falls anwendbar, „Kontrastmittel gespeichert, %“ (% Kontrastmittel gespeichert bei letzter

Injektion)

- Falls anwendbar, „Kontrastmittel gespeichert (Durchschn.) %“ (kumulativer Prozentsatz

(%) des während des Verfahrens gespeicherten Kontrastmittels)

- „Kontrastmittel in Spritze, %“ (z. B. 90 % bedeutet 90 % Kontrastmittel und 10 %

Salzlösung/anderes Gemisch)

 Falls anwendbar „Verbleibender Schwellenwert“ (verbleibendes Kontrastmittelvolumen im

Verhältnis zu dem vom Arzt vorgegebenen Schwellenwert) mit grafischer

Schwellenwertanzeige. Wenn für den Schwellenwert „0“ eingegeben wird, werden der

verbleibender Schwellenwert und die grafische Schwellenwertanzeige nicht angezeigt.

Im Folgenden ist eine der optionalen Benutzeroberflächen für ein Fall-Fenster der App zur

Kontrastmittelüberwachung dargestellt. Wischen Sie während eines Falls nach links, um eine

andere Auswahlmöglichkeit anzuzeigen.

FALL-BILDSCHIRM

Der Smart Monitor ist nicht für den unbestimmten kontinuierlichen Gebrauch vorgesehen und

sollte in regelmäßigen Abständen ausgeschaltet werden (wöchentliche Ausschaltung

empfohlen). Zum Herunterfahren des Smart Monitors drücken und halten Sie die „Ein/Aus“-

Taste am Smart Monitor. Bestätigen Sie das Herunterfahren, indem Sie über den Bildschirm

wischen, sobald Sie dazu aufgefordert werden.

Der Smart Monitor wird über ein DC-Stromkabel und einen -stecker an der Steckdose

angeschlossen. Zum Trennen des Smart Monitors ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose.

Der Smart Monitor sollte so positioniert werden, dass der Stecker ohne Schwierigkeiten aus der

Steckdose gezogen werden kann.

Einrichtung des Smart Monitors und Benutzereinstellungen

- Entnehmen Sie den Smart Monitor und das DC-Netzteil aus der Schutzverpackung.

- Montieren Sie den Smart Monitor mithilfe der integrierten Klemme an der Rückseite

des Smart Monitors an einen Standard-Infusionsständer oder eine horizontale

Bettschiene (10 mm x 25 mm).

- Prüfen Sie nach dem Montieren des Smart Monitors am Infusionsständer, ob dieser stabil

ist.

- Stecken Sie das DC-Netzteil des Smart Monitors in eine geeignete Steckdose ein

(100 – 240 V/0,5 A (0,5 A), 50 – 60 Hz). Der Monitor benötigt möglicherweise Zeit, um

vor der Verwendung vollständig aufgeladen zu werden. Ziehen Sie nicht den Netzstecker,

wenn Sie das Gerät benutzen.

- Drücken Sie auf die Einschalttaste (unter dem Smart-Bildschirm) und lassen Sie sie

los.

- Drücken Sie auf die Starttaste und geben Sie „000000“ als Passwort

ein, um auf den Smart Monitor zuzugreifen.

Einstellungen – App-Übersicht

Optional: WiFi aktivieren

Durch die Aktivierung von WiFi lädt das System automatisch die Osprey Medical DyeVert App

sowie iPadOS-Updates (einschließlich Cyber-Sicherheit) herunter, sobald sie verfügbar sind.

Zudem können Protokolldaten von Fällen zu Analysezwecken hochgeladen werden, um die

Softwareentwicklung und Bearbeitung von Beschwerden zu unterstützen. Alle auf dem Smart

Monitor enthaltenen Daten werden mit AES-256 verschlüsselt, während sie auf dem Smart

Monitor aufbewahrt werden. Während der Übertragung zum Amazon Web Service (AWS)

werden die Daten mit Transport Layer Security (TLS) verschlüsselt. Die AES-256-

Verschlüsselung schützt die Daten, während sie auf AWS aufbewahrt werden. Für weitere

Informationen wenden Sie sich an Osprey Medical. Es wird empfohlen, eine WiFi-

Verschlüsselung mit WPA2 oder höher zu verwenden.

das Update abhängig von der WiFi-Verbindung und der Größe des Updates möglicherweise

eine längere Aktualisierungszeit erfordert.

Datums- und Uhrzeiteinstellungen des Monitors

Der Smart Monitor ist für die automatische Datums- und Uhrzeiteinstellung vorkonfiguriert.

Damit die automatische Datums- und Uhrzeiteinstellung funktioniert, muss WiFi aktiviert sein.

Wenn für den Smart Monitor WiFi nicht verfügbar ist und/oder Sie Datum und Uhrzeit manuell

einstellen möchten, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

 Öffnen Sie die App für iPadOS-Einstellungen

 Wählen Sie „Allgemein“

 Wählen Sie „Datum & Uhrzeit“

 Deaktivieren Sie „Automatisch einstellen“

 Wählen Sie Datum und Uhrzeit aus und stellen Sie das gewünschte Datum und die

Uhrzeit ein

 Verlassen Sie die Systemeinstellungen und kehren Sie zum Desktop zurück

Alle nativen Befehle von iPadOS, auf die über herkömmliche iPadOS iPad-Befehle zugegriffen

werden kann, sind für den Benutzer sichtbar. Aufgrund von Software-Einschränkungen von

Osprey Medical und MDM-Profilen sind jedoch nicht alle Befehle zugänglich.

App zur Kontrastmittelüberwachung – Anwendung

Wählen Sie die App zur Kontrastmittelüberwachung, indem Sie das Symbol „DyeVert Plus“

berühren.

STARTBILDSCHIRM DER APP

Das standardmäßig eingestellte Hauptmenü wird angezeigt und blendet die Option zur

Einrichtung eines DyeVert Plus EZ Einwegkits ein. Zum Ausblenden der Option zur Einrichtung

des DyeVert Plus Einwegkits wählen Sie den Pfeil aus oder wischen Sie mit dem Finger über

den Bildschirm. Beim Verwenden des DyeTect Einwegkits zur Kontrastmittelüberwachung

erkennt der Smart Monitor automatisch die Einwegartikel, sobald „Neuer Fall“ ausgewählt wird.

1) Zum Ansehen einer Video-Anleitung zur Einrichtung und Befüllung eines DyeVert

Plus Einwegkits oder eines DyeVert Plus EZ Einwegkits wählen Sie „Einrichtung“.

2) Wählen Sie den DyeVert-Typ aus (DyeVert Plus oder DyeVert Plus EZ).

3) Wählen Sie den Verteilertyp aus.

Das entsprechende Video wird automatisch über einen integrierten iPadOS Media Player mit

Standard-Videosteuerungen gestartet. Der Media Player wird am Ende des Videos automatisch

geschlossen. Die Videowiedergabe kann jederzeit über die Schaltfläche „Beenden“ in der

oberen linken Ecke beendet werden.

b. Einstellungen

1) Wählen Sie im Hauptmenü die Option Einstellungen. Dies ist nur erforderlich, wenn die

Standard-Benutzereinstellungen geändert werden sollen. Der Zugriff auf die Osprey

Einstellungen ist ausschließlich für einen Vertreter von Osprey Medical vorgesehen.
