Maintenance Daily Schedule
Be sure to comply with the SAFETY MANAGEMENT stated on the P3- 5 of USER
MANUAL in advance.
ALL PERSONS IN THE SPRAY AREA MUST BE GROUNDED AT ALL TIMES !!
This may be accomplished safely by the use of conductive soled shoes, disposable
conductive boots.
Avoid the nozzle being struck. A clogged or damaged air spray nozzle usually results
in faulty spray patterns.
Daily Schedule
1. Safe grounding is a matter of proper equipment maintenance. Inspect all ground wires daily.
2. Verify that Solvent Safety container is grounding.
3. Before operation, please check the electrostatic output. Ref.: 30 KV – 60 KV
4. Checkandcleanorreplacepaintlterasneeded.
5. After per coating work. TURN ELECTROSTATIC POWER OFF andthenushthenozzlewith
suitable solvent, such as xylene or toluene.
6. Wipe the gun and cable exterior with a solvent dampened rag.
7. Inspect all conveyor apparatus, hooks, hangers, etc. If there is any accumulation of dried
coating Material on any of these objects, remove it before using them.

P 4
Maintenance Weekly Schedule
Weekly Schedule
1. Inspect all equipment for damage, leaks, or build-up of paint.
2. Whenshuttingdownovertwodaysorlonger,eithercirculatethepaintorushsystemwith
solvent and leave solvent in the lines.
3. Always circulate and agitate metallic paints and any other materials that settle out rapidly.
But avoid excessive agitation which introduced air into the paint stream, giving the appearance
ofleakinguidvalves
4. Suspendhosesandcablesofftheoor(notfromheatedlinesorcords)andavoidkinks
5. Remove nozzle only when necessary for cleaning or replacement.
6. To aid in the removal of dried paint during clean-up, apply a light coat of petroleum jelly to the
exterior surface of the gun.

INTRODUCTION
OVERVIEW
In using the liquid electrostatic spray gun. The high compress air tends to throw the paint away
when the paint passes through the special nozzle, the paint is atomized , then negatively charged
to the object , thus having a less negative charge than the paint. The charged objects are given their
initial momentum from the paint pressure and air pressure. In this case , the expelling effect appears
between the paint carrying electrostatic and the live particles as to cause further atomization of paint
andthusformmuchnerthinfog.Duetotheocclusionofelectrostatic,thelostpaintsaresucked
back to the workplace in generating a kind of surrounding electrostatic effect. In this way , the
purposeofelectrostaticcoatingisachievedwhichisabletooffertranferefciencyupto95%and
minimize the over spraying phenomenon obviously.
OTS-3000 Manual Liquid Electrostatic Spray System
OTS - 3000 Manual Liquid Electrostatic Spray Gun contains the required standard equipment
such as an air regulating valve , electrostatic power supply , electrostatic spray gun and
Round ( TIN ) nozzle , one set each ( Round ( FRP ) and Flat ( FRP ) nozzle are available for
the customer’s option). The above-said electrostatic spray gun in conjunction with paint tank
doublediaphragmpump,paintlter,paintstabilizingvalve,airdryerandaircompressorforms
one complete set of liquid electrostatic spraying equipment for the customer to carry out spray
operation simply by pouring paint into the bucket.

FEATURES
1. The spray gun weighs 470g only, which is the lightest electrostatic model in the world.
2. With the ergonomic design, it is compact, easy to handle and smooth for operation without
feeling fatigue during lengthy spraying.
3. The spraying range adjusting valve is installed on the left side of the spray gun for the easier
operation of the user.
4. By using the newly patented No. 75875 high-atomization tin nozzle, it improves the productivity
and meets the requirement of high-quality coating surface.
5. Hammer and valve seats are made of friction-resistant tungsten copper for prolonging the service
life.
6. The gun is made of HV-resistant material, while the handle is made of low-impedance compound.
The structure of the gun is longer than ordinary design for 1 cm to effectively reduce the back
owofpaint.
7. Safecircuitdesigncanquicklydisconnectpower,dischargeitandtriggerthebuzzerforimproving
the operation safety in case of erroneous operation, abnormal voltage or current
.
8. Low failure rate and cheaper parts maintenance. Further, the parts replacement has even been
moresimpliedduringmaintenance.

SAFETY MANAGEMENT
1. The liquid electrostatic power supply must be properly
earthed before use:
The grounding of the liquid electrostatic power supply is a basic
requirementforasaferoperation.Intheliquidelectrostaticpower
supply, a HV generator is provided for absorbing the electrons
of earth and sending to the power supply through the grounding
wire. These electrons are sent back to earth though the power
supply, spray gun and the coated object for forming a circuit.
Poor grounding will result in ineffective liquid electrostatic
enclosing or cause damage to the liquid electrostatic power
supply by the false potential inside the unit.
2. The sprayed object should be kept in grounding status
constantly.
Normally the sprayed object is grounded through a conveyer.
If the paint adheres onto the part where the sprayed object
contacts the lifting tool, it may result in poor conductivity of the
object and make it become engaged; thus, causing a poor liquid
electrostatic enclosing effect or even generating sparks for
causingre.Therefore,thepaintadheringtotheliftingtoolmust
be removed regularly.
To improve the operational safety and ensure the over time use of the
manual liquid electrostatic spray gun, be sure to comply with the following
requirements:

P 9
OTS-3000 User Manual – Safety Management
1. Wear leather bottom shoes or liquid electrostatic shoes
during spraying:
The air around the spraying room is exposed to the ionization
of high voltage current. When wearing shoes with rubber or
synthetic resin bottoms, the body will be inducted and exposed
to electric shock upon contacting the grounded rinsing cabinet
or other objects. To keep the liquid electrostatic from staying
in the body, it is therefore required to wear liquid electrostatic
shoes when performing the spraying work. To ensure smooth
current ow of liquid electrostatic shoes, the paint lumps
attached to the shoe bottom shall also be removed.
2. Disconnect the power of the HV generator before cleaning
the nozzle:
Before cleaning the nozzle or when the spray operation is
interrupted, be sure to disconnect power to avoid electric shock
due to inadvertently touching the trigger.
3. Do not use any metallic brush when cleaning the nozzle:
The nozzle is a key part of the liquid electrostatic spray gun.
The use of metallic brush or the collision may hurt the nozzle
and uniformed spray shape cannot be achieved as to affect the
productionsignicantly.
4. Donotsoakthespraygun,HVcablesortheexibletube
in the solvent:
Serious failure may happen if soaking the spray gun, HV
cablesandexibletubeinthesolvent.
DO NOT USE
METALLIC BRUSH !
DO NOT SOAK !

P 10
OTS-3000 User Manual – Safety Management
1. Do not drop and drag the HV cables , exible tube and
electrostatic spray gun on the ground.
If the gun is drop on the ground, it will affect your
transferenceefcientwhenyouarecoating,otherwise,
the gun will be damage.
8. The spraying room and the exhaustion device shall be
cleaned regularly:
If the residual paints are left in the spraying room and the
exhaustiondevice,thentheseresiduesmaybecomeammable
substancesincaseofre.
9. The air compressor shall be fully drained:
If the air compressor contains moisture, it may result in a poor
spraying surface. So special care should be used for draining
the moisture.
10.Please do not disassembly parts of electrostatic power
supply and gun. if you have any question , please contact
with local distributor or OTSON Technologies Corp.
KEEP DRY !
