1. General Information
1.1. Introduction
OXO Core model 7D53 is a medical grade system consisting of PC and video camera.
The device has the following main functions:
Workstation- It allows users to work with their daily softwares (DICOM, CRM, Cloud,
etc)
Lighting- It incorporates a lighting system with different lighting modes.
Vision- It allows users to make photos, videos and magnification.
Note. Not all daily softwares are compatible with the OXO Core operating system. Please
check with your dealer before beginning the installation process.
The tests related to immunity, EMC, usability and risks, required by the standards applicable
to medical grade equipment for professional environments, have been carried out on this
device. The device conforms with the requisites of the regulation EC 60601-1-2:2014, IEC
60601-1-2:2014/AMD1:2020 for professional Medical Electrical Equipment.
Note. The emissions of this equipment make it valid for use in industrial environments and
hospitals (CISPR 11 class A). If used in residential environments, this equipment may not offer
adequate protection for radio frequency communications services. Users may have to take
measures, such as relocating or reorienting the equipment, to mitigate this situation.
1.2. Intended Use
OXO Core has an indicated use in all those situations in which the professional wishes to
document.
The device does not have any contraindications since it is a system that cannot harm patients.
The device is intended to be used by qualified personnel assigned to the patient, mainly dental
professionals. These users do not require to have any special skills, training or knowledge.
The device is designed to be used in industrial environments and hospitals. Please see Section
2.4. to check restrictions on environments in which the device can be used.

Important. The device will be installed on an arm or wall for normal use. The device will be
permanently installed, although it can be uninstalled and transported. If the equipment is
mounted on an arm, make sure that it has been positioned correctly and that it does not pose
any danger to any user or patient due to a fall.
WARNING
Do not modify this equipment without authorization of the
manufacturer.
2. Installation and Commissioning
Keep the original transport box and packaging for the event that it might have to be transported
back.
Only use the screws supplied for correct and save assembly on arm.
Appropriate ventilation is necessary to protect the device from overheating and to ensure
reliable and continuous operation. The equipment should not be put in a place or under
conditions where it is impossible to offer sufficient ventilation for the equipment’s housing
surfaces.
On the other hand, it is not allowed to place or suspend objects or materials on the device to
prevent heat accumulation or an interruption of the air circulation and to protect the device’s
mounting from excessive loads.
2.1. Quick Tour of OXO Core
Before you start to set up OXO Core, take a moment to become familiar with the locations and
purposes of the controls, drives, connections and ports, which are illustrated in the figures
below.

2.2. Device connection
Connect a power supply to the device power input.
Check to see whether your power grid has the correct voltage and frequency before connecting
the device to the mains (refer to the nameplate on the housing). Afterwards, connect all of the
needed cable connectors (such as mains cable, keyboard, mouse, serial, USB and network)
to the unit. To prevent the risk of electrical shock, this unit may only be connected to a supply
system with a protective earth.
If you want to completely disconnect the equipment from the power system, pull the power
supply from the OXO Core power input. Do not set up the equipment under conditions that
impede the disconnection from the mains.
There might be unforeseeable interactions or even malfunctions on one or both devices if the
device is connected to other devices.
Note. The power supply is not included with the OXO Core. Please see Section 1.3. to check
recommended power supplies for the correct operation of the OXO Core.
WARNING
Do not position the device so that it is difficult to disconnect it.
2.3. Turn On/Off
To turn on the OXO Core, the power supply’s plug must be inserted into the power input of the
OXO Core. After a few seconds, the desktop will be displayed on your external display,
projector or HDTV.
Turning off OXO Core is important for system reliability. To turn off the device, on the start
menu, click “shut down” and select “OK”.
Note. The power supply is not included with the OXO Core. Please see Section 1.3. to check
recommended power supplies for the correct operation of the OXO Core.
2.4. Vision System
The equipment incorporates a vision system with the following features to document:

These features can be accessed through the Camera App located in the OXO Core dock.
2.5. Lighting System
The equipment incorporates a lighting system, which can be used if the device is connected
to a power supply, regardless of whether the OXO Core workstation function has been turned
on or not.
Note. Make sure to disconnect the equipment from the power supply after you finish to use it.
This will protect the equipment from overvoltage.
The lighting system comprises the following options:
Off: Off mode position of the lighting system.
Ring: 4 LED lights are turned on in the central part to achieve ring light effect.
Twin: 4 LED lights are turned on, 2 on each side, to achieve a side light effect
Full: 8 LED lights are turned on to achieve a 5600K UV full light.
6K: A 6500K powerful spotlight is turned on.
3K: A 3000K powerful spotlight is turned on
UV: An ultraviolet light is turned on.
IR: An infrared light is turned on.
IR+: A combination of an infrared light and a 5600K UV full light is turned on.
Scan: A structured blue light turns on.
The lighting system is activated through the lighting control illustrated in the figures below.

WARNING
Direct exposure to this lighting system can potentially damage the
eyes. Please provide a protection system for yourself and your
patients to avoid any possible harm.

Note. Store the unit for few hours at the new operating location before commissioning if a
difference in temperature of 10°C is exceeded. The unit might be damaged due to fast changes
in temperature (i.e., by condensed water)
2.7. Safety Precautions
This is a medical grade device and as such complies with the legislation regarding risk analysis
and control.
Please consider all safety instructions displayed on this User Manual and on the device itself.
Please comply with the safety instructions compiled below to prevent fire, electrical shocks,
injuries and damage to the device.
Protect the equipment from exposure to strong infrared radiation like i.e., direct impact
of sunlight.
Protect the equipment from strong magnetic fields like the field close to a MRI.
Protect the equipment from exposure to strong electromagnetic radiation.
Protect the equipment from exposure to strong ionizing radiation like i.e., the radiation
at a C-arm on Xray devices.
