3

The controller attaches to the mat using two hooks and two snap fasteners.

Insert the hooks through the openings in the corner of the mat, then press the snaps on the controller into the

snaps on the mat.

4

Press the power button to turn the controller on and move at least 3 feet away while the controller calibrates.

The controller will continue to calibrate to its environment for 5 minutes after powering on.

If tone is on, you may hear occasional activations during this time.

5

You can use the up and down arrow buttons to cycle through seven correction modes: tone only, three

levels of static only, and three levels of tone with static.

Use the setting most appropriate for your pet’s temperament.

6

Pets learn at different rates, so it may take several times for your pet to successfully understand and honor

the training mat. Begin training with the tone only or tone with static (low) mode and allow your pet to

wander freely around the mat.

If your pet is having trouble avoiding the mat, follow these steps:

1. Place a collar on your pet and attach a long leash. For cats, we recommend using a harness.

2. Walk your pet onto the mat. As soon as you hear the tone, gently pull them away from the mat.

3. Reward your pet with praise and treats each time they leave the mat.
